Delete Hyurs

I mean all other races are far from FINAL fantasy too! Delete all humanoid races, replace them with gelatinous blobs of primordial goo wearing magical diapers that shoot rainbow ponies at their enemies!

Hyur's personality tends to be along the lines of MANIFEST DESTINY for just about every other culture they encounter. Leave my heritage alone! The Elezen ain't gonna subjugate themselves! That being said, I see me a Hrothgar to mount on the cabin wall.

Ah, but you see, deleting Hyurs isn't enough. All the other "races" are simply Hyur with a deformity (yes, including Hrothgar). I urge you to change the title to delete FFXIV!!

Cancel female Hrothgar and allocate the development resources into more essential area such as racial customization or better gear design
Just offer free racial change to existing Hrothgar players when they log in

I wonder if us Lalafells are actually hyur children about the age of 4 or 5.

Hyur women have large breasts to feed their young and wide hips to carry them during pregnancy.

Our ears I guess we got from an elezen ancestor whose genetics passed down through the hyur line.

But then again alot oh hyur women ignore me when I try to be adorable but the bunny women & Au'ru women mostly hug me or blow me kisses when I try to be adorable, hmm

If most people play catgirls, doesn't that make them the default? Au ra and Hrothgar don't seem to often be very original either since most of them are using the same face option. The only thing that separates your Hrothgar from 90% of the ones I've seen is an eyepatch.

People may be like "why does your character look like a real person?!" but at least I've never seen a copy of my character before, I don't need to worry about tail or ear clipping, all gear is made specifically for my body shape so I look good in everything, and I can wear hats. Some people's idea of fantasy is different than others and they don't need to look special or quirky to enjoy it their own way.

Reminds me a lot of some Femroe players I see every now and again who talk massive amounts of shit about people who play Miqo'te and Au'ra in particular because they're '' unoriginal '', meanwhile 99% of them use face 2 and have the same two skin colors lol.
I actually think most Femroes look more samey than most Miqo'te and Au'ra tbh...
At least I feel like I see more varied face options, skin colors and hair etc on them.

Or people who harp on endlessly about how '' unoriginal '' people are for using the 2b legs or whatever, then they run around in the Archfiend set, some generic SAM Japanese cosplay glam with that circle hat, the Elemental armor, Artifact gear or some other generic set that I see 5000% more often than the 2b legs and ofc with a Heavensward relic weap becaue they're the easiest ones to get ( especially the DRK and PLD ones ).
Or oooh, the Genji PvP glam or Oni armor :O ( or the Resshi set which the OP is currently wearing )...

I've mainly played Highlander, Elezen and Roegadyn.
And sometimes on all of them I've had people act like my best friend because we played the same race and make some huge spectacle out of us playing '' rare races '', it's always weird to me.
I just play what I like it's not better or worse than what someone else likes.
If someone runs around and looks down on others for playing a cute neko-chan in a maid outfit then they're just sad individuals imo.
And I am fairly sure that in 9 out of 10 cases those neko-chans would be more fun to play with and be around than someone who's self-obsessed about how '' unique '' they are.

If we're speaking frankly it's wasted resources for an area of the game that they have not managed to get right, despite having upwards of 4 years to do so. In fact, I would argue that their recent escapades have made them brazen to even start cutting racial features from Miqo'te and Au Ra with respect to certain abilities and even with headgear.

Away with them. At least then they can work on making things better instead of trying to fix something that is broken and evidently broken beyond repair.

They did what they always do. Fix what isn't broken. But yeah, they could have at least given him some unique armor or something. It's still early Alpha, so hopefully the current model is more of a base from which they can build off of. As of right now, he looks terrible. Pretty sure the older, low res model looked more intimidating.

Obvious trolling aside, I think hyur are a nice option for those who like to play a race that is well rounded and fits almost every job concept (I play almost all jobs equally so that is a very important part for my character to fit into all of them). I just prefer the safe all-rounder route in that case.

For my personal taste at least, I found eleezen too lanky especially their necks, gear on lalafell just looked LQ, too stretched with low textures on Roes, the aura hip and default stance I couldn't get past, the cramped catboi hands I just can'tget over and hunchback hroth I felt bad at their customization options...

The only real contender being closest to hyur is bunboi and they mostly have the aesthetic of emo/kpop idol which just isn't my personal style.

(I could go through all the female versions but after 8+ years of playing, your glamour game usually leans towards one gender at this point and it's just very hard to switch...)

Criticism from anybody is valid criticism because that's how a game is improved and worked upon.

This entire thread though goes to show just how Vitriolic some people are over someone having an ounce of criticism, and whilst some people may feel that they are justified... Keep in mind you would get back the same criticism from others if you made a post of 'Delete X Race'.

Why should we deal with getting troll posts over our race if it's not fine to do the same back? A little Hypocritical No? This isn't about taking sides, but this just shows how horrible people can be to others for having a different opinion... In my idea, you should all be ashamed of yourselves. You're all acting like someone quite literally pissed in your cereal.

I mean, that's not exactly an issue with originality. It's just that if people like how a certain face looks, which lets face it. A majority of Hrothgar use Face 1 or 2 because. As stated in multiple previous posts in other threads.
