I do hope that the development team manage to add more content with staying power early on in the next expansion. As an example I'd love for the equivalent of Heaven on High/Palace of the dead to arrive in 7.1 and be updated with new rewards in 7.2, 7.3, 7.4 and 7.5.

Imagine googling a game you play on a regular basis.. I can't remember the last time I searched FFXIV.
But hey, maybe I'm the only one who.. y'know.. just logs into the game and plays and doesn't feel the burning need to google it. -

The only thing it measures is mainstream attention.
Mainstream attention is good for the game, yes, but the lack of it isn’t bad at all.
I haven’t googled FFXIV, Dota, Crusader Kings, or Stellaris in years, and I’ve spent thousand of hours and hundreds of dollars on these games.
Apex Legends, Monster Hunter Rise, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Subnautica, are also all games I’ve spent a lot of time on in the past year. Not a single Google search.
I’ve googled FF7 Remake multiple times in 2022 to check when it would come to Steam, but still haven’t bought it yet now that it is because I want to wait for a bigger sale.
If Google metrics were king, you would think I’ve spent more time and money on FF7 Remake than all those other games I mentioned. -
