Well, clearly. And this thread is also showing that people want to jump from homeless into a medium, which under this current system is like trying to do the latest savage in Moonward.

The biggest questions SE need to ask is "what do these people want their house for?" followed by "why aren't apartments working" followed by "how can we provide this to everyone who wants it".

That's where you're wrong. The system works, what the system cant do is magic, because there's not enough supply to satisfy everyone.

If nothing else I enjoy how this new bidding system shows you very clearly exactly how many people are being denied the housing they want. With the prior system it was always a little vague because you needed the patience to placard spam, but now it clearly says "45 people are bidding for this"

My spouse put in three bids on a small lot in Shirogane (Fairie), one bid from each character she has on that world.
There were 50 total bids last we checked.
My spouse won.

I also put in three bids on that lot. Obviously, I lost.

I'm considering leveling more characters up on Faeirie and, at some time in the future, trying for a medium.
I just need 8 characters leveled enough to qualify and 160 million gil.
If I stop spending millions on glamours, I can do it: right now one of my glamour plates cost literally as much as a small plot.

[BTW, this demonstrates that number-of-losing-entries is not the same as number-of-losing-players. My spouse lost twice but still won, and I was really just trying to get the lot for my spouse to build, decorate, and garden at, so I effectively won too.]

First to enter lottery for a plot and last to enter it wnis the plot. Samething happened to me last time. The last person to enter won it. Showed 27 entered it and number 27 won it. Very weird last to enter keeps winning them. Maybe they should make it open only one day for the lottery and next day drawing for it.

I won another door prize of 42 million. Starting to think that I'll never win a large for my FC.

Was 21, winner was 19.

Open up the FC ward smalls why don't you? My FC won a medium but the ward is completely freaking empty and it looks awful.

That's what I'm thinking. My old Steam account is inactive. A couple friends of mine have inactive accounts. $45 to reactivate three accounts and 30 days of grinding up to FC level 6 seems far more possible than the current system.

It took me a lot less time than 30 days to do it solo for my FC. Don't think it took me more than a week and a half, and it could have been quicker than that if I'm not remembering it correctly. I used GC turn ins to level up very fast by feeding them gear drops. So yeah, it can be done with basically no help at all.

And unless you are already in an FC and enjoy it, you should: FC houses are way more useful than private ones.
For example, if you have alts, they can all be members of your FC, but none of them can be tenants of your private house.

I have no need for alts except to get a house.

Imora is happily in a FC, but I can use alts to form one.

I don't care about the shop. I just want a house to decorate and garden in. It's been my goal since HW, and it's just not happening.

If the FC that Imora is in already has a house, you might not be able to gain a house for your alt's FC without Imora leaving her FC: each account is limited to one FC house and one private house on each world; I'm not sure what qualifies as "having" an FC house, but worst case, it means having a character in an FC that has a house.

I have no idea.

I'm probably too lazy for that anyway.
