I would say at most, the Omega set should be dyable and maybe the feet/shoes/gloves separate from the bodysuit (I mean the female version is literally separate from the suit to begin with..), but yeah it's far more forgiving in why it's a onesie vs. trying to split it into pieces.

But yeah, this is like... top tier lazy lol, it's almost astounding that they found this ok to release.

I just wanted the outfit and the hair. I've wanted them both for years. I didn't care if it was one piece or not. It would be nice to be able to dye it, but it wasn't a deal breaker. I use the entire thing on my Dancer glam now. For me, what they gave me was worth it.

I also think it's valid for people to not like that it's not split into pieces and not find that worth the money and state that's why they won't buy it. I do wish that feedback came without the aspersions on the people that did the work, though. Someone put their time and effort into this and was probably working under someone else's instructions or with the resources a project manager had assessed could be dedicated to the task. Software engineering is always going to have this balance and give and take with resources, no matter how big the team is. There just isn't enough for everything.

There's a common saying. You can have something cheap, something fast, or something good. Pick two.

I am a bit bothered that it is also not dyeable.

Piecing chest, legs, and feet together and adjusting the meta takes perhaps 1 minute. And for lalafell they must have some kind of auto-scale from the base-model (hyur midlander).
It's simply lazy for the money they ask for. Lyse's outfit already was tested, when Lyse got to wear it. If anything, lalafell-model needed some testing, but also that is quickly done. (Put on, do some animations).
There is nothing new, but the lalafell-model and hyur being glewed together into one. Not even the textures had to be remade.

I would find an excuse if it was half the price of other scion-outfits, because it's that stripped of features. Many wanted a piece or two of it for glam, for their own imagined outfit. Instead we got an undyeable cosplay-outfit.

I assume the chest and arm pieces need to be built together because the arm pieces might not connect well to other gear pieces, but surely the pants and shoes could remain separate?

Either that or – generally for these things – if they can't do a "chest and arms duo" piece and need to include the legs and feet alongside arms, they could still do multiple overlapping pieces.

In this case for example:
1. Full set as distributed
2. Pants only
3. Shoes only
4. Maybe dress only with bare arms.

Regarding the name of the set, "Ala Mhigan folk dress" was presented in the game itself, so I would have thought to keep that description.

I agree and I hope the Garlean gear come in separate parts when they’re released.

The arms would certainly be an issue. The left arm would be fine because the...sleeve? is placed perfectly fine for cutting off the sleeves on chestpieces like long gloves would, the right arm however is not.
Chest, pants and shoes would work as separate pieces out of the box.

Player: I want the Lyse outfit.
SE: Here you have the Lyse outfit.
Player: Well, what I actually meant was I just want a specific part of the outfit, not the whole outfit.

Your point is..? They want $15 USD for the outfit, money on top of your sub, so yes if I want specific parts of the outfit I should be able to isolate the shoes from the pants and so on so forth. lol

Thing is, it's supposed to be character costumes rather than stand alone pieces. It' doesn't mean it isn't lazy & moronic, as the devs definitely know that the player base wants to mix & match pieces of the gear (as well as dye them), however the excuse used is that they provide a way for players to enjoy looking like favored characters.

Only purchased for an extra hairstyle for my bunny :(….Im still suffering over the Omega onesie without it including the hairstyle.
