strange to think of all the things they could devote their time to like discussing feedback from players its shutting down the LGBTQ thread that takes priority over all else.

If what the other poster says is true: that there are no dedicated CMs on these forums because SE wants to save money, then all we're going to see is a minimally managed forum, much like we're seeing right now, with very little interaction from the CMs. Pretty sad state of affairs.
IDK. I used to really dislike Blue responses on most of the forums run by Blizzard because they were often just PR responses. When a bug would arise they'd communicate a fix, but barely ever answer clarifications - it would be like being ghosted by your project manager in a group project after you asked if doing something along the plan was a good idea. There was a CM on the EU WoW forums who seemed alright, but I came to realise that they were really biased when it came to moderation. They'd leave terribly baity threads up but chastise the regulars making jokey ones.

I agree that the whole FF11 event stuff may just be taking up their time, as well as possibly being busy with the upcoming patches (they likely double as warm bodies on the localization team)
