Relic Weapons: About the confirmation of 3 Seals needed for each Hamlet (9 total)

Hello again.

Me and 6 other adventurers organized something a bit different for today and we all reached the Top20, most of us with over 300.000 points.
We wanted to see if that changed anything.

From around 14.00 PM until 20.00+ PM (of course, with pauses between the events), we did many Hamlet Defenses in The Golden Bazaar and got absolutely nothing worth all those efforts in gathering points (confirmation of no change from being in the Top3 or at the #20), just a few tools, until the very last round, where 1 of us got the Militia Wristlets.

While for the random drop of the chest (usually we got to almost 70.000 points at the end), we got 1x Inferno Seal and 2x Militia Hats, still no sign of the Disciple of the Land hats I'm looking for.

From now on, I'll pray the Twelve even more for the devs to realize this random reward system is extremely unsatisfactory and give us a more concrete way to get the items we desire before 2.0.
A Hotfix like the one that lowered the points from 10.000.000 to 3.000.000 would fit nicely.

An example of a more rewarding system would be to give the Top3 provisioners a 50% chance to get the hats, and as a reward from the captain, not an unrewarding random stuff from the chest that you can get even if you're not in the ranking.

Devs: It's the first time ever you release Disciple of the Land unique armors, similar to AF, so please if you really want to make it hard to get them, give us True Gatherers, who really enjoy the contact with Eorzea's nature, a chance to earn them, spending our time and eventually have our efforts rewarded.

Doing the same stuff over and over again hoping for a random drop is not what I'm talking about, for many adventurers that's just wasting time, and as time goes by I'm finding always less and less adventurers willing to do Hamlet Defense or, more importantly, doing it with pleasure.

Seriously consider a change to this before 2.0!

Fixed that for you.

We've gotten 9 gathering head pieces in 17 days.

4 Cutter's Hat
2 Digger's Helm
3 Puller's Hat

In about Lv.2 290-300 Hamlet's.

I can see how if you were just going for head pieces it would be very frustrating. We were able to get 6 Promissary Notes and are 1-2 seals away from completeing 2 other members, it should only be 3-6 more Hamlets until we finish everyone off.

That being said, I'll probably never step foot into a Hamlet once we've all gotten our first note unless they nerf drop rates greatly.

Militia Trousers 0 (Aleport is my least done Hamlet at 84 clears)

Seals in Total: 75+

4 members got their Soiled Promissary Note on June 1st/2012.

Can't wait to find out that all this note does is buy the dark matter that repairs your relic once it's 0% durability :D

I just got out of another Hamlet Defense party and after several runs with over 66.000 points, we got a good ol' nothin'. :cool:

The problem is just that. Even if I personally like doing it, with the right pauses and variety, it requires 7 other adventurers to do. And most of the ones I know are heavily afflicted with the Boredom Status Ailment, that probably requires a White Mage level 99 to heal!

I can just feel their boredom and unsatisfaction in the air. I tried also to get into a linkshell exclusive for Hamlet Defense, but the status ailment got many of its members before the goal "Let's get seals for everyone!" was completed (we got only 2 seals).

I don't have any hopes up for hotfixes in patch 1.20b, since reps stay silent on this matter (at least differentiate how to get Disciples of the Land hats VS seals...), but at least for 1.23...

Oh Yes. Very notable! I'm not alone anymore! :D That's the only item I got at the very beginning, but actually I didn't have to look for it: the Subligar found me!

4? I've yet to see 2 items drop in a single run and didn't know it was even possible...! How many points did you have in that run, if I can ask? Usually in the parties I join we do around 66.000.

Now I'll pray The Twelve even more they'll do something about that Reward system, as no more adventurers are interested in doing Hamlet Defense: today one of the most determined ones I know from Japan got also afflicted by the Boredom Status Ailment...!
