If the in-game clothes break ToS, can I report people if I upskirt them with the normal camera?

Adventurer Plate feedback:
It'd be nice to have "dyes" or some way to recolor elements. A lot of the elements are limited in what could make a good combination simply because they don't have a compatible color scheme.
It's not a bad feature. Certainly gonna get more use out of it than that dang Gpose. It's definitely a good start. Hopefully they add to it over time.
Yeah and you can inevitably thank them for the restrictions yet to come.
Not such a gotcha as you think considering this:

My only feedback is that I would like an ability to completely disable the feature for myself. It's almost there but I'm missing some way to remove character portrait from PvP intro. Just give us some neutral plate in its place and I'll be happy. Or an option to save a portrait with no character visible.
And unless such option is provided I'm generally against expanding the use of plates to post-dungeon screens and so on.
My feedback is that the Adventure Plates are fun but they should spread the items more along the old content to give people more incentives to do them.
For example, there could be beast tribe themed plates added to the beast tribe stores that would be available as your reputation grew with them. Primal ones from extremes? Maybe even prizes for achievements, like completing an ultimate fight.
Tank achievements are cool. You can get mounts by playing a lot with a tank job. Why not also some adventure plate stuff too?
I assume they mostly put as prizes for PvP and a few other stuff since they just introduced it, but would be fun to see more added as an incentive to do old content, I dunno. :P
Well, the main issue is that it is front and center if you do a pvp match. It would be one thing if you could just close the pane and then not look at that person's card again, but when someone's clothingless bosom or crotch is mega zoomed in front and center in multiple matches it gets a bit meh and makes it awkward to play this in public places or around family.
I noticed while creating mine if you zoom all the way in on your character and use an emote that makes them lean in, it clips the camera into your character and makes them disappear. This could work for you.Quote:

The other option would have been to not make one I guess but I don't think you can back out of the feature once you have edited a plate.
I also had the issue wherein any attempts to edit my plate or profile would not be saved. After staying online for hours, changing areas, editing one thing at a time, nothing worked. However, once I set a search comment on myself (I previously had none), I was able to make changes that would actually save. I could even remove the search comment afterward and make further changes without issue. Seems like some characters have some sort of null data that is messing with the save and it's just not providing feedback on it.
If it doesn't help me kill things faster or earn more gil, I'll ignore it.
A nice feature and though I understand it's a beta it's far too limited. I feel it would be better if it gave you access to all your available emotes for poses. The lighting in them also sucks immensely but hopefully the future graphics / lighting update will make that better. I was also hoping it would come with a personal profile section. Showing the search comment is neat and all but those are far too short. It would also be nice if you could customize everything the adventurer plate says as opposed to only selecting a few play-style, active times, favorite title, etc.
I really feel this should have been a full length in game profile / calling card as opposed to just showing otherwise useless information that can already be viewed elsewhere. I hope they add to it in the future.
This new feature is honestly really nice. It also helps if I forget a name to a face in my friends list. I know some have said we did not ask for it, but gosh this is just one thing I am going to simp for, I love it!
Unsure if they said anything about adding more of personal emotes to them like Hildibrand one maybe the dance. There is a glasses emote I have been meaning to get and the Haurchefant one you get from a side quest I have also been meaning to do.
i was having the same issue.. and cant save,,
you need to be in a city make plates
Another thing, this only applies to Legacy Players
if your legacy Tattoo is turned off, do /legacymark to turn it back on.
Don't ask me why, and yes it is extremely stupid reason..........
But if your legacy mark is turned off, it will not let you save.......
yes, stupid........
Very happy with what we've got so far but will be better with more options.
I'd particularly like to echo the requests to use all your emotes (I want to use the new clutch head one) and to customise info a bit more. I have a very random sleep schedule too so I just filled them all in. And the "0:00pm" thing bugs me every time I see it.
Overall a great feature, that I look forward to getting more development.
I am happy with the options we've gotton so far, but the lack of option using current location as background was a bit disappointing, and the animation options are quite limited imo. I was hoping to make a Jojo meme out of it. Sge Dosis animation and several other similar spells from other jobs have some Jojo vibe to them.
If any SE devs is here, may I suggest to implement something like the guild card from monster hunter series where you can:
1.) See the number of times you used a weapon (for FFXIV case, show the amount of times you have used a class in instances PVE or PVP)
2.) Hunting logs: the number of times we hunted certain monsters (The Hunt for example, or maybe the amount of raids be it ultimates, high end or normal we have cleared)
3.) Referring back to point 2, if SE dev could also implement the "fastest clear time" we have for ultimates, high end or normal raids synced. Maybe also have a separated page for BLU
4.) Showcase of achievements cleared. mounts & minions we have collected
5.) Showcase some other DOL achievements, rarest fish caught? biggest/smallest fish caught?
They put so much information on the plates, including absolutely useless stuff like GC rank but they didn't put language thingie. I realize that it's not a problem for NA or JP, but as a EU player knowing player's main language can be useful.
Yes please! The lack of a language info was the first thing I noticed. I am sure it is useful for the French-Canadians in NA data centers or non-Japanese players in the Japanese datacenters, but in EU you have a bigger variety right next to each other, it is more likely that you meet someone who does not speak your native language (or speaks multiple languages). Most of the time when I checked a users profile in a duty it was to check their language, so I know what would be best for communication in chat. (And this isn't always accurate because it goes by client language first unless someone takes the time to adjust it manually. The adventurer profiles have to be set up individually anyway, so this info would likely be correct.)
Unrelated to this: I noticed that some plate designs don't go well with the "mirror" option, the text, icons etc. are very close to the portrait. It would be cool if this could be adjusted.
Also, a mirror option for the character in the portrait generator would be nice. :)
Edit: It would also be cool if the text for the search info could be edited in the Adventurer Plate settings, considering this is where it shows up.
Love this!
- more emotes from all in the game
-more simple background colors
- where it shows the fc give other options to display instead. Trying to think of options. Will edit later with more. Current ideas: achievements, mount total, minion total, tt card total, pvp rank
- more poses from all in the game
- option to pose with a favorite npc
I like it a lot.
Please add it to PvE instances with an option to toggle it off!
It would be nice to swap the times you play with a field where you can write a little bio or something a bit longer.
Maybe I can find an answer here. If not, well, feedback.
It doesn't seem like you can save portraits in a way that permanently saves your outfit used to create that specific portrait... If you link it to your Adventurer Plate, it'll stay as is, but if not, I notice all other saved portraits will always change to reflect your current glamour/job weapon.
I was hoping I could make multiple portraits for different jobs and glamours, with specific poses/outfits to link to gearsets- but in the end they're perpetually linked to what you're currently wearing if it's not the active portrait being used for your Adventurer Plate.
Bluntly put, I think this feature should wholly replace the search info. It's one of the nicest things they've added into the game honestly, and it would be a shame for it not to get so widely used.
Yoshi actually addressed this - I'm not sure why it hasn't been directly shared with the English community but an unofficial translation from the reddit team follows.
tl;dr: They're aware and working on it.Quote:
However, the issue lies in when players start creating multiple and large amount of portraits, the server currently will save only settings with different character view direction, different emotions and what not... along with other elements like timing, lighting position, character coordinates, etc. The reason is due to these settings created for characters are saved locally, and not onto the server. Now, an inconsistency will occur when they start creating them for different jobs because, while the character info itself is saved, the same however doesn't apply to their equipment when creating different character portraits in large numbers. Only the main one will be saved, and it's currently only one for now. Okay, now this will result in cases where the first setting seems stable and all but when it comes to other portrait it doesn't seem as if it's saved. Like for example, let's you created a portrait meant solely for your White Mage attire/glamour, and when you try making another portrait that is meant for Black Mage, suddenly you'll go "wait why is that portrait that I saved for White Mage suddenly has Black Mage attire or glamour applied!?". And this may cause confusion to players and made the feature hard to use so we have to change the core specification of this feature. Therefore to avoid confusion, players are advised to create only one portrait for now, one that is your favourite and universal for the time being.
However, another confusion will occur when the portrait players created specifically with White Mage glamour will end up showing Black Mage glamour when displaying their Adventurer's Plate (in case of creating multiple, different portraits of different job glamours), but when registering for duty/content and entering it, like for example during PvP, the portrait will properly show its settings based on the job you registered with (if registered with WHM, it'll properly display the portrait setting you set for the job). Still this will end up really confusing and we have to make sure all settings are properly saved onto the server, and for that we have to change its specification, and even now I had a meeting earlier to discuss the issue to see if the feature can be made friendlier and easier to use, and we're actively looking into this issue, and right just now we've manage to thought up of a good solution here. So for now players will only need to create one simple portrait of their favourite, the one where it displays their appeal at their fullest until we address the issue above.
This confused me at first as well and it's difficult to see, but actually does what you want. Right click the portrait and assign it to the gear set of choice. Whenever you switch to that gear set it switches the portrait as well. So, the preview list shows current great for all portraits, but the actual portrait is the one assigned to the current gear set.
The thing is, this switch doesn't apply to the adventurer pass, it only applies to the quick portrait used in PVP. At least I have found no way yet, to also make the adventurer pass switch with portrait switch by gear set switch.
>people wanting to make portraits reportable lmao
tbh the card is great, sure seeing the same old pose for miqos and the like can get boring but it doesn't hurt anyone and you can just not inspect them. In the case of PvP the cards are there for 5 seconds max.
More poses are there you just have to look outside Poses and click on Display Poses List instead.
Hope this helps. Have fun!

I love Adventurer Plates! For feedback, I feel there should be an online guide on how to use it because some of the functions aren't immediately obvious.
One thing I'd like to see in the future is the ability to save multiple plates. ((Oh! I just read the post above. Seems like Square Enix is ahead of me.))
It’s a great feature and I hope it is implemented in more content going forward.
