BUMP! + ^ i like thatr but same time i think in ToS there prob is somewhere SE covers they asses in events like this. but cant hurt to at least try and get SE give back any monies lost durring time you couldnt get on casue of them.
uhm.. you should check the ToS then. this is not a free to play mmo however.
its getting very annoying when this happens while im doing a leve.seriously why cant they just make it so that the leve continues even if you log out as long as its within the time limit
I've had that error before but I was able to log back in after a while. I wonder why it's so different for you. :?
The problem may be that my error doesn't stem from a disconnection like many people's problems do. A lot of people report the error around a wards crash... But I'm in West Thanalan...
Also, something tells me you were a PSU fan at some point ;)
your player is stuck in a void that has no concept of time and space, where light and dark don't exist tis sad indeed.
In my personal opinion, that's the best planet in the game. Though it really doesn't reflect its original corresponding planet like Parum reflects Parma and Matoob reflects Motavia. Although I suppose there were areas to reflect Dezolis on Matoob later, weren't there? The Frozen areas were in the PSP versions at least. (I loved the original Phantasy Star series.)

By the way. 90 days of service paid, and I still can't log in my main character. That makes me sad, Tech Support and Engineering team.
Same thing just happened to me. I was in the uldah mercantile house and the game froze. Afer doing a hard reset i get the loading screen and then that Error code.
Sigh. Ive been getting the same error 30002 as well. Ive only been playing for a few days, but the game played fine before. The error only started happening for me yesterday, and it keeps increasing in frequency. Seems to mostly happen in Uldah and yes, failing leves because of it sucks.

If you can log and you only get random disconnections, then it's a different problem (and can actually be solved as I explained in another thread -> http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...l=1#post460552 ).
Lusavari's problem is different. He can't log at all. He gets this error right after character selection.
Yeah his issues def sounds like server side since he cant log in, on dif computers networks. But can log in other toons on same pcs/networks also bump :D
Don't forget my attempt (which the forum mods didn't appreciate) to have my friend in Canada try to log the problem character in. Which also subsequently failed. He had the same issues with my account that I did.

I sent in a new bug report. What makes me the most irritated is all I REALLY wanted to do was get the damn Goobbue mount....

I'm honestly frightened to try the actual bug report forum again. The mods in there are pretty anal, and I'm scared they'll try to ban me. Which is NOT a good way to handle things of a forum. A total loss on customer support. At least the guys on the phone sound sincere they want to help you even if they can't do anything further.
Further, they should know that SE already has a HORRIBLE customer service reputation, and this isn't helping. It drives away more business. Because guess what: People I know in real life that were potential customers hear about this. A satisfied customer on average tells 3 people they're happy. A dissatisfied one like me on average tells 20.
The point is, Tech Support team, could you at least SAY you're looking into the issue? I mean, good god, look how long this topic has been bumped. If it was something simple like you claim it is, don't you think I'd have announced the issue was solved, and quit already? But no, you've done nothing resulting in around 6,000 combined views between 2 topics of the fact you've done nothing. NOT GOOD. THIS IS NOT ON MY END. If I can't log in in bleeding Michigan, How is it my ports on my router in Kentucky? If my friend in Canada couldn't log me in, how is it my ISP? If I've deleted my user folder (4 times, by the way) and uninstalled and reinstalled (as well as tried from multiple computers) How is the problem on my side? Let me know you're investigating the damn issue.
All I can guess is that your character is trying to log in to a version of Western Thanalan that no longer exist.

approx 10 mins ago, i recieved an error.
I was attempting to craft a Militia sword, while in the market wards (woodworkers, I believe) and I completed the synth with 1 durability left, 407 quality, 100% and the game locked up. The synth window just sat there, not progressing, and I couldn't bring up the menu, cancel the synth or any thing EXCEPT, I could still chat, LS and Party.
I am now trying to re-login and I'm getting the following error.

The long string of numbers has changed a few times, this is the latest one.
Attempting to restart my router, pc. Will come back and update once that is done.

Well. Someone in the other thread made a worthwhile suggestion. I'll follow up with what happens when I try again after 24 hours of deactivation. If that doesn't work, I'll try deactivating until the 25th. Hopefully one of these 2 options work.

I can't believe how long you've had this error and they have not fixed it for you. It is obviously on their end...
Have you considered deleting him and starting over? I think you have to be 30 to get the mount though, and they are removing it after 1.23 which is in a couple weeks or so :( Sucks though, they should really be on top of things and fix it for you...if it was nearly any other company it would have been fixed long ago. How shameful SE. :(
In my years of playing FFXI I have come to learn that their customer service is next to useless and you are basically on your own. ; ;
Edit: Have you tried to call a GM on the character you are able to log in with to ask them to move your character (the stuck one) maybe they can put him back in Uldah (Or wherever) and you'll be able to log in?
I have tried the GM thing.... It was the first thing I tried. But deleting him for me is not an option. I'm one of those people who does things on principal. I get it from my mom.... They're going to fix it. That's how it's going to be.
I think we all encountered some lame issue like this in XI at some point. There was a time where about 25% of the player base was experiencing this issue in XI. It lasted about 3 months before it magically fixed itself.
What makes it frustrating is their insistence that it's a tech issue. I'm also leery about this happening again when 2.0 goes up.
