If you own a house already, you shouldn’t be allow in the lottery.

bigger appartments won't work. Because at it's core having a house seen from the outside in one of the ward is one of the biggest bragging point available to a player in FF and that will never be accessible to every player. There will always be salt about housing, because this time it's also a game where there are winner and loser (and nobody like to loose).

You might want something to brag about. I don't. Most other players don't. The only players impressed by "bragging rights" are those that want to be able to brag themselves.

I've had my Mist medium since 4.2. I'd happily give it up for good instanced housing considering I'd see just as many other players in instanced housing as I do with my current house - maybe 3-4 a year. Someone else with a need to brag could then have my Mist medium.

I have an LB large personal and if I could get instanced housing of the same size and scale I'd give it up. I'm not in it for the bragging rights, I just wanted a space big enough to turn into a hospital for an RP venue.

I clicked and clicked and clicked on god knows how many houses, and finally was fortunate enough to win a small house a few weeks ago. Many friends told me I was wasting my time, that lottery was just around the corner and it would be "easier" after it came - they told me they planned to just wait for lottery, rather than spend all those miserable hours clicking. I don't blame them for not wanting to click, it sucks, but I certainly don't regret clicking now.

I love decorating, obsessively, and having a medium house to play with is basically my ultimate in game goal. (I've clicked on every very rare medium I've seen pop up for - I dont even want to admit to how many hours of my life - and have yet to win one)

No way in heck would I give up an opportunity to enter lottery on a medium now :) Thankfully my current small house is in one of the housing wards that will remain available for personals - so if I do get lucky enough to win a medium, well, my small will open up for someone else who wants it to bid on.

Although I do get that some people like to brag but… I don’t think it’s that many players that are like that. If there wasn’t a way to make Gil with houses, a large portion of players that have a house wouldn’t bother with it since they usually don’t care to even decorate the house. With RMT being cut down, and if they ever decide to create another way to obtain crafting materials locked behind housing, I honestly think we would have a decent amount of housing going in and out of the market. In every game I played with housing available, it’s usually a small niche group of players that care about it while the rest of the player base never even touched housing.

This isn’t my first game to have limited housing but it is the first to lock Gil/money making options behind it and I feel that is the root of the problem.

Good luck finding a home. My friend was looking and found that 80 to 90% of the plots is now for only fc. I thought they was going to separate private and fc housing. Not make it all fc only.

Wards 1-18 are currently reserved for FCs.

Wards 19-24 are currently reserved for personal houses. Those are the wards your friend needs to check.

Don't forget that many plots in Mist, Goblet, Lavender Beds and Shirogane are now vacant. When the next lottery period begins, those houses should be part of the lottery.
