Highly suggest not to use a term that you are not familiar with.
This is about Frontline, if we are discussing about Rival Wing and Feast you will see my heavy criticisms.
People took enough closer look and if I want that style of PvP, I will just PvP there.

This character may not showing it, but my main character is hybrid of PvP and Savage.
I merely using Frontline as main way to level all my alt jobs and proven you can doing well while using Frontline as leveling up and still can doing well at it.
It is not a rocket science to improve your performance in Frontline.
You may want to try to play other region first

Ganging on the last place team early game is a strategy. It's to prevent them from being a contender in the late game.
For some reason though, everyone's instinct is to blame the 3rd party which I am highly confused about. Last place team does that whenever they get ganged on, and if there's a stalemate between the 2 teams with only 50 points to go for each of them one of those teams will blame the last place team for butting in.

The main problem is that people rely on the non leading team to be attacking the leading team. You're better off creating opportunities for your own team instead of waiting for the other team to create an opportunity for you. After all, none of the teams are playing for yours.

You should honestly be grateful that there's a 3rd team. They are your cushion when you fall behind. Frontlines is not like feast. If there was only 2 teams you'll see the losing side throw in the towel more quickly than what you see in games now, because frontlines is a snowballing game. As someone have mentioned in the thread already use the 3rd team to your advantage, but don't trust them to do the work for you.

I'm surprised they didn't give The Feast and Rival Wings a roulette. If there is a roulette, people will at least do them once per day to level up their alt jobs.

PVP has just followed the trend of FFXIV in general prioritizing accessibility. PvP has changed a lot over time, especially considering where it started (I’ll always remember brawling it out in the original Wolves Den when it was just for fun). I can understand the annoyance with the apathy that comes from funneling players into Frontlines via the roulette, but there have been times where even FL ques were dead or filled mostly by bots. Actual bots, not just poor excuses for teammates.

PvP, for better or worse, has had to form it own sub community similar to what RP players have done. Discords for Feast and Rival Wing exist and are full of players willing to help newcomers or to just play together. There are plenty of FCs out there with a focus on PvP. If you are dissatisfied with the PvP experience I would encourage you to put yourself out there and seek out others who enjoy PvP. Even FL is more enjoyable AND winnable with a group.

I love the pvp in this game it might sound strange but its very relaxing and satisfying for me and i cant wait for the new mode.

Honestly, I think I'm at the point where I'm done with PvP until they make some changes. Start off by getting rid of the XP bonus or lowering it. Either way, I'd rather wait 30 minutes to play with competent people trying to win than to play with people that run around in the crowd so they hide that they aren't doing anything. I can even do 100k damage and spend most of the match watching these people, but yet they do 10k.

Hi OP, I hope you don't mind I bring this topic back into relevancy for a moment because almost all the issues you expressed is also I feel about it.

Given the core issue has been fixed to some degree for better or worse, but one of my main problems with PVP is directly tied with the Developers removing or locking out areas like Astralagos. I don't understand why they went and removed and locking out content when variety is the spice of life.

For one not getting to play the fabled West Shroud is kind of disappointing, and I just found out that Carteneau Flats was very different compared to how it is now, it would served better to have it be a separate place rather than replaced.

I like how you mention the old HW PVP for your example, that was without XP. Back in HW pvp was at its peak and all PVE abilties were included in it.

Thats literally not what happens though. what happens is that two teams at 1500 points fight against each other for the win and then 3rd team decides who wins by ganging up on one of them.
