Isn't it already impossible to hold Garuda in phase 1 indefinitely due to the plumes blowing themselves up?

People would rather go back to getting darklight and stuff now that they have a few if not all weapons. At least that's how i feel lol.

woulda been nice if they fixed this asap cause it seems like everyone who used the black mage strategy are all 7/7. we've always done it the 'right' way and although she does seem a little tougher for some reason, we've had no problems-maybe it's a placebo. if you were one of the groups farming the shit out of it with the black mage strategy and now you think she's too hard...well, i doubt i even have to say.

Still plenty who didn't use/level THM(BLM) just to exploit a fight so yeah, there's still a reason, shocking how not everyone takes part in using exploits I suppose, but it seems most "end-game" linkshells took part in it.

SE needs to do 1 of 2 things.

Yank everyone's weaps that exploited garuda.

OR

Make the garuda weapons you can obtain now way better than the previous ones.


Because the way it is now, garuda is in fact ruined considering 3/4 of everyone able to do endgame content has all the weaps from expoiting/cheating so there's no reason for people to do it, learn new strategies, make pickup parties for casuals, etc.

My ls has never farmed this BLM burn so although its still cool for us i feel SE did too little and its too late now.
Most people i guess have there weapons from BLM burning it so do not really care.

Keep her above 60% and kill the plumes as they pop. Can do that till you timeout.

Oh, is it a codependent HP+plume count trigger for Aerial Blast? We've never had her above 60% when plume 3 ended.

edit: I guess you could never trigger plume 2 or 3 by holding her at a certain %, but eventually (after a very long while?) she would damage the pillars on her own.

The plumes set she does before Aerial Blast (think she spawns like 10? at a time for that one) is all HP% dependent. Never actually tried to see if she could take out the pillars on her own but sure was fun doing 7+ sets of plumes due to d/cing people.
