I actually miss Valkurm Dunes
There's a nice little island you get to visit during a BSM/ARM quest... I wish they actually used that one for something else since it's got a neat little lightouse on it and a wonderful view of the sea.
One of my favorite things about many MMOs is how many different varied types of terrain they have to keep the leveling process feeling fresh: bleak deserts, lush forests, thick jungles, paradisical beaches, snowy mountain ranges, and otherworldly supernatural areas. The new maps are one of the things that I'm looking forward to the most in 2.0, and I hope that the terrain is as varied as the couple of maps we've seen so far make it out to be.
Valkrum Dunes 2.0 :)
I didn't think bibki bay was that great. The boat ride however was amazing. I still think FF12/Xenoblade out shines a lot of FF games in terms of how area's are made.
Unless there is an AH on the beach or some significant reason to go there and spend time there it will all be one massive waste of resources. Nobody goes anywhere in this game to look at the view or paddle or have a picnic, let alone go for a swim!
Umm read up on some of the story line for LL and youll know why there arnt any boats though yes i would like boats too more better looking things about LL area But the story line has it like that there was also per the story line alot more villages untill they where all attacked and destroyed
I know that copying things of FFXI isn't the way to go for FFXIV, but FFXI had things which i miss in FFXIV. Like a jungle, snowy areas, desserts + beaches (valkurm, good times ^^), etc...
Some more variation is welcome, but don't expect it till 2.0. We will get a totally new map then & our whole map will be black from start. Exploration ftw! ^^
If they make valkrum 2.0 we need aggressive goblins, bats and little blue crabs.
I'm normally against copying anything from 11, but I would be ok with Valkrum 2.0.
Yah, I agree. If they kept EXP Rate as fast as it is now (for 2.0) and had the same methods to PL, it'd be totally wasted.
I'm holding out hope from Yoshida-san's comments on the forums that perhaps the accelerated EXP Rate currently is mainly to help new players enjoy the current Max Level Content sooner, and that it'll be slowed down when 2.0 hits.
If 2.0 Launches with New Classes / Jobs, slightly slower EXP Gains for Leveling, and the World Redesign truly features the Landmarks / Unique Characteristics that's being hinted at, etc., nice new Mobs / Camps, that'll be the most anticipated aspect of 2.0 for me. :)
I'd love to level a new Class / Job when 2.0 launches and play with fellow adventurers exploring the new Eorzea. :)
try south bloodshore before you whine about there being no good beaches, on the other hand, I wouldn't mind a laid back beach like what they had in New Bohdum.
I want FF12 HD for PS Vita.
I'm so sick and tired of people trying to make this game FF12-2.
