Login Server Down?

This seems to have just happened to me .

In before SE shows up tomorrow and blames this on our internet connections

I'm getting either the rare cannot complete version check, or that my name and password are incorrect.

Well, we did it guys. We broke the game.

But in all seriousness, I'm glad it's not only me getting the issue even if I am a bit annoyed that I got kicked out of a 3k queue time when I hit around 800 people left when this error occurred. Freaked me out a bit when I tried logging in and getting this error, thought I got hacked for a bit there.

Setting in que, went from 4500 to 2000 then got 5003 error about network authentication and now can't get back in.

the only mess is people that don't know how to deal with frustration and feel entitled to something that's completely insane (like bashing SE for not having enough servers... WTF is that xd).

endwalker itself has been a great success, how do I know that, because months ago SE said they were preparing for twice ShB population at launch (there they already said there will be long queues at launch) but population TRIPLED.

Steam forums are lighting up right now about this to. Looks like massive across the board hardware failure. If you check the news section of SE...it does state they did identify a hardware issue causing this authentication problem.

I guess it just got way worse real fast after we hit peak hours.

I had just gotten to one of the new areas and gotten the aetheryte and got booted with a 90k then 5003, trying to log in again I get either a version check error or a multi-language message.

Oh good, it's not just me getting this error when trying to log in -The last thing my Pc did was reboot to finish installing a Windows (10) update...

So who's going to get the queue high score when we all rush back in? I'm hoping to spot at least a 20k screenshot.

lol entire game across the globe just crashed. This will be like an 11k queue by the time we try to log back in.

I'm extremely paranoid with these sort of things, I'm always thinking I got hacked or something (which is something that never happened in the countless years I've been playing mmo's, but still...).

A mess is still a mess, even if it is a pretty looking mess or a mess created by circumstances unknown to the creator beforehand. Still a mess no matter how much you would like to cover that fact up.

FWIW this is the message you'll get when you try to log in after an authentication error. Tossed my plans for the day out the window, ahah, I'll probably play the sims and hope that this was just a massive hiccup.

Was in the midst of an RP interview with a member's alt they wanted to add in to the company, and we both got 90k'd and now getting authentication errors. Friend of mine said people in their company were getting hit too, and my friend on Primal got smacked with it also.

Hamsters died.

Yeah, that's the screen... scares the living sheltron out of me because I've never seen it before.

Seems the issue is with the account server and not the log in server. This was the same issue this morning and they fixed it then but guess it didn't stay fixed.

I amazed how quick the White Knights are to a thread, it's almost like a shark smelling blood in the water.

For the sake of troubleshooting, I closed the launcher completely, then restarted , checked p/w and one time code.

Same result.

Wasnt expecting any different, but wanted to try it. Connection and other programs are fine, id say the login / auth servers are down.

This was the problem this morning they responded to it on twitter and it's on lodestone.

Right? Look I love Endwalker too but there is a limit to how much queue times and errors I can stomach. Tonight was the limit. Being kicked from the queue then being unable to log in past the launcher, something is super broken there. We're all very much annoyed and tired with the queues.

The servers are back up. Was lucky got into a queue of 44 and in game. And this was on Balmung.

Can confirm, just managed to log back in and now sitting in a queue of 474 people. Seems the issue has been resolved... for now at least.

What would you like me to say, everything is great, everything groovy, I wasn't bashing the game, I was merely commenting on the fact that anytime anyone does, out come the ass kissers telling us we're all bad people for being pissed that we can't play the game we paid for.

Servers are back 1,4k queue for me. Quick login now :D

One must be careful, any negative comment made about the game or Square Enix will be construed as an act of terrorism.

I'm still getting "Id or Password incorrect" every time I try to log in.

Reset my ps4 and phone for the hotspot, that did the trick. Resting is usually the best troubleshoot most of the times. Queue is at 700 NA fortunately

Now I'm just getting a failed version check every time I try to log in. Guess I'm going to bed early tonight lol

I was able to log in, and the queue was only 663, but I seem to be stopped at "Players in queue: 1". :/ for the last several minutes. :/
