Liturgy of the Bell is underwhelming and needs some QoL changes.

I think if there was a way to count another person as part of the 'get hit' triggers then lilybell would feel a bit better. Its not that it's a bad skill, but it's a skill we can't always make use of because we as the healer won't be getting hit.

If it triggered on people taking damage in its radius or had a skill that helped transfer the counter, we could use it a little easier.

All the other healers don't need a specific situation to use their capstone. Macrocosmos ans phneuma do damage so it can be used in most situations plus healing. Expedite is a free sprint and damage reduction which is almost always useful.

Yes, the heal is strong no doubt. However, I thought of something might be a cool change.

Looking back to Plenary's change (4.3) in StB allowed it to store your healing up to 3 stacks and has a 30s duration before it detonated (or fell off IDR tbh). Similarly, Lilybell can be work in that style.

Keep how it how it is now with each stack triggering per raidwide hit and if all the stacks are used up then it's purpose is fulfilled. However if they aren't, they won't go to waste.

Basically, the stacks that aren't used up in the raidwide can be activated manually from a different button. Essentially this gives the WHM more options for healing as you can use Lilybell more often instead of holding it as you get a refund of the unused stacks for a later part of the fight. Idk maybe call it....

"Lingering Petals" (oGCD)

When Liturgy of the Bell's stacks are not resolved before the duration ends, the stacks will be converted to Lingering Petals that mirror the number of stacks unresolved from Liturgy of the Bell.

When activated, releases a stack in an AoE 200 potency heal.


It won't be as powerful of the stacks on Lilybell, but at least WHM won't feel bad losing unused stacks.

I use this ability on the multi-stack markers. Beyond that, I have no use for it.

Lilybell is often one of my top sources of healing in EX, and that's with my Sage co-heal pushing most of it into overheal because we're both bored and EX is a joke. It should be enough to survive both hits at the start of the second EX, (worked fine for me) I assume your group just wasn't mitigating or your co-heal didn't bother pre-shielding on the opener. I liked it during adds, I'll take a free 1000 potency on both tanks any day. It does take planning and a bit of co-heal coordination, which is why I imagine most WHM's have no idea how to get use out of it outside of SE throwing them a freebie with stack markers from time to time. It's ok in dungeons too, just throw it down and happily spam Holy when it's about to pop.

It's literally 1000 potency minimum. It can't be weak, even if it "feels" like it, because 1000 potency is a beefy heal. Mathematically it's strong.

What I wouldn't be against the idea of is a detonate option. So when you use Lilybell, the button changes to Lily Blossoms or whatever and pressing it will immediately consume all remaining stacks for the 200xstack heal. Basically like Earthly Star. And obviously it needs a cooldown reduction. 2 minutes would be fair. Other than that it's really strong and I like the idea of one button in the WHM toolkit rewarding the player for having a working brain.

If anything kinda wish we could just slap the lilybell stacks on anyone rather than ourselves, still a lil niche but would at least a bit more out of it.

I wouldn't call a minimum 1000 potency heal weak. It just suffers from the same problem that a lot of WHM cooldowns have. Take an equivalent cooldown that any of the other healers has, give it a potency bump, then increase its cooldown by an amount that's wildly out of proportion to the strength of the potency bump, then sigh and roll your eyes at the fact that FFXIV's combat system massively advantages availability over potency and sigh as you swirl the bottom of the healer toilet yet again. Because the healers with oGCDs that have 80% of the potency but a third of the cooldown (and double the number of them to boot) are mysteriously, somehow, to everybody's shock, at a greater advantage for having kits that can whip out a 500 potency heal once a minute instead of 2000 once per encounter.

I love reactive heals... this one is just odd. I was hoping for something more like WoW's prayer of mending... loved that spell.... or the cleric reactives from EQ 2....

Make it work like this:

Once placed the action changes to, for the sake of example, liturgy's Veil which is the same 400 potency aoe heal used by the bell. Only it's an oGCD heal that you have 5 uses of to use across the duration (like sch's seraph/consolation) and a 1 second CD between uses. Then at the end of the duration any remaining stacks are spent for half potency per stack otherwise it dissipates after the 5th use.

So you ring the bell? That would be better than it is.... I really like the reactive idea, though... wish they would implement it better.
