Ohhh the many times I was doing my ARR beast tribe dailies back then with the Sylphs and I get aggro. There goes my invisibility grrrr! *runs back to refresh*
Those were the days I will fondly remember now. hehe
I wonder how the devs maintain their sanity, having to create hundreds of useless quests, for years, because everything has to be quick and unchallenging.
Well, you see... It's very simple, I don't do them.
Having arrived during Heavensward, I have passed them friendly to be able to access all the dyes by myself being a glamour fan.
And now all these mounts are available during the Mog events, so everything is fine.
I...didn't do them. I started during HW and to this day no beast tribe has been completed. To heck with them all!
I didn't do them, so I retained my sanity ;)
Easy didnt rush things unlike a lot of players today and focus on 2 tribes per day. If you stick with the game its not that bad, it also was some kind of personal achievment because a lot of players didnt bother with them.
For anyone who worked through these quests before flight, it was fairly simple, actually.
I spent time during ARR working on them, and the only frustrating time spent was during those 'invisibility' quests in Sylphlands.
On alts, the ARR beast quests became much simpler during/after HW came out -- you just run them in a level 60 job, since you automagically got ignored by mobs 10 levels lower than you. Flight made things waaaaay easier during HW and after, by the way, because you had flight unlocked when you got around to doing the post-ARR Beast Tribes.
I encourage people who haven't tried doing them to take the time ... the story lines were creative, and the amount of time you'll actually spend doing them is pretty minimal each day.
In ARR, focusing on 2 tribes a day meant that the grinds for both finished on the same day weeks down the road. It still took the same amount of time though. There was no rushing that. Players had 2 choices. They could focus on one and then the other, or do both. The amount of time required to finish the grind was the same regardless.
ARR would also unlock more and more quests per day as you went along, while later tribes only ever had the three per day, with three extra for the day when you ranked up. If I go back to the gnath or the pixies, they just have three, but if I go visit the amalj'aa, they have nine or so. The ixal will actually have more quests per day than you can actually do all at once.
