hope to see more at the media tour, but this seems nice
It's a discussion board. If all you came here to do was post a statement that you yourself don't feel inclined to stick up for, then there's no reason for anyone else to buy it either. You typically find that people who are in the know (or at least believe what they themselves are saying, even if it is actually false) are generally more inclined to defend their position, whereas loose statements with no real substance or backup (asking for sources without providing any themselves) and deciding to dip at a sign of forum friction are often not worthwhile believing. Generally speaking, of course.
Thus far, I see what I can only assume is wishful thinking and "said my peace, wait and see".
I've better things to do with my time. wasting it agrueing with people who clearly want start a fight. wanting me say something most likely get banned for. I can see a bait when I see one and smart enough to avoid it all together. I shared my information out my good will. don't have do anymore then that. you guys can argue if its real and not all day. means nothing to me. having someone knows more then you do best bother you really. also not dumb enough reveal information that was given to me. make someone possibly lose there job. so askin for the source is troll in its self
I agree with the last part, asking for a direct line of information goes against journalism. You do not out your source, ever.
HOWEVER, this is really not the best place to post this information, being the OFFICIAL forums of the games. Meaning now they could trace who you are, and cross reference with employees of whom had contact with you, which is the same as getting them fired. Posting this information, if true, would have been better for Reddit, being that it is a private company and they will not give out users information, and with proper work you could basically erase who you are and any leads to your source.
All you've done, provided the information is true, is indirectly out your source, and lead to their potential extreme warning documentation, or termination paperwork.
I'll admit, the confirmation on the Holy 2 giving a Lily does lend you credit, because I watched the Live Letter as it happened and there was zero mention in the live translations of this. Just that Holy 2 was an upgrade of Holy. Perhaps the distinction was made in Japanese, but if it was, most of us would not know.
Yes, the distinction was made in the original Japanese. They specifically discuss the Lily effect but it's glossed over by the translator.
Borrowing from the official Live Letter post: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8SXLmXt5lZk&t=10918s
Edit: It is initially glossed over, but revisited shortly after a small summary of the White Mage's "role."
Honestly, while I'd be super happy to get a Water/Water II/Banish to complete the Land/Sea/Sky set for the early druid levels, I feel like if they'd added Banish we'd have seen it in the Job Actions trailer. Would be nice to cast when I've dotted everything when doing pulls if it were true, but...
why would they give you 100% spoilers about everything about what your class is gonna do. its called building hype something they as a company do every expansion. to extend. only most important features as cool as single dps instant cast ability is that triggers off a critical hit/direct hit no one wants sit there wait for glare to actually crit so show case these ability when trying do job trailer. there's been cases in the past when they didn't reveal everything on job reveal trailer. this one of them. look at scholar mains right now. they do know what to think about there reveal a lot them are really upset most likely they get damage over time miasma/bane added to there kit and reveal wasn't as good as they hoped for. but this is a what if. what if those abilitiies actually good this 50/50
alot disappointment and doom saying simply cause visuals and scholars stuff looks bad. and we all want good things but maybe just maybe there actually good
That's kind of the whole thing, isn't it. People have been asking for more DPS to be returned to SCH for a while, yet instead of showing the more DPS/DOTs they instead showed a bunch of altered animations, improper class play (Recitation>adloquim>deploy tactics RATHER THAN recitation>indom Like you should), and the only really new thing being a lame speed buff that's outclassed by sprint. So, why show the lame stuff rather than the returning DPS stuff people have constantly been asking for? It just doesn't make any sense unless they intentionally wanted to shoot themselves in the foot only to go back on it and pull a "See, we listened to your complaints after all" thing after pretending to be stupid.
Same could be argued for WHM I suppose, not showing the more dps stuff people have been asking for, and instead showing even more healing abilities that the class doesn't need.
you should know the awnser to that
please let me know if run 2 and energy drain is still there or not
they are not gonna remove ruin II from scholar's kit. energy drain really isn't anything wrong with it. just needs some fine tuning a little probably making it feel little better then it is now . scholar players shouldn't have worry as much as they are. all i can say is that scholars aren't in a bad situation or as bad people are saying. job reveal was a awful visually but technically there pretty solid. my only concern is animations of these abilities are appealing to scholar player compared to visuals that other classes have gotten. but miasma and bane is something heavily talked about and discussed with healer dev's it take little to for them put a patch up and you getting those abilities. no reason for them put them on job revealed trailer specially when nothing really changed about those abilities only the job that has them.
hell you might as well get upgraded trait version of ruin II on scholar. but no there not gonna remove it from scholar or energy drain they just change the numbers. however white mages version ruin II they get is completely different yours shares global cooldown with ruin. but is spam able. however from knowledge ive gathered white mages version requires a trigger to be able to be cast. doesn't share global cooldown can be weaved between glare cast. but has proc chance so rng heavy. there for its not used in same way as scholars rune II even though they seem somewhat similar
however if scholar has bane and new art of war your aoe dps is pretty much covered on scholar that and having miasma back giving double dot. ability to spread + art of war. having really fun aoe rotation
Do you have linkable proof for all these supposed leaks, or is this just speculation?
Oh man. A ten potency increase on Glare and Holy. A single target tank cooldown. A noninteractive flower that automatically pulses heals in response to taking damage. And a massive overhealing potency boost to all the GCD healing spells. And somehow, amazingly, Memecure survived the cull.
Enjoy next expansion, anyone still Stockholmed to this limited job. Love the aesthetics, wish it weren't such a trashfire. Look forward to being the least desirable healer for organized play when Scholars shriek to high heavens that their (also pathetic) "upgrades" are somehow less impressive than this. They're not, but Scholars will complain harder.
With all due respect, that doesn't answer my question: Do you have a verifiable source for the information you posted, or are you just speculating? You referred to your thread as containing "100% true" information, and yet I'm reading that there may now be some contradicting information. I'm sorry, but simply telling me that it's real isn't enough to prove to me that I should accept what you wrote as confirmed fact. Some of your responses toward other players in this thread earlier also seemed kind of rude.
Nah, defo fake info, from what ive seen here and there.
Aqua(something, shield, veil?) - Defensive buff 15% can toss on self or target
Plant thingy - Get like 5 stacks and anytime you take damage it aoe heals, also if its when time runs out it does a final heal with bonus potency for like every stack you dont use
Holy III and Glare III - Dunno if its mistranslation but seems to skip II, and just more damage
Benison - Only 2 stacks
Heal trait - A lot of potency buffs to most major heals
I'd be careful posting detailed info, a post of mine with detailed info got removed along with all the discussion topics on the leaks. Several others in this thread got purged too.
Which, by extension, confirms the leaks as true. And deconfirms the OP's leaks due to a lack of similar response.
Is it against forum rules to report intentionally false information about an upcoming job as factual, suggesting an unauthorized leak even if those details end up not being true? Because if that's the case, it looks like there are currently multiple such threads (like this one) across multiple forum sections now that moderators may want to keep a close eye on, also moving or deleting certain original posts if needed. Some of the threads with advertised leaks (even if they end up just being speculations that aren't advertised as such) are also posted under the wrong categories.
Honestly, while I really want WHM to get some love, SCH's in a terrible spot too and can shriek all they like. I absolutely hope SCH gets some attention, turning against ourselves and making it a competition of who deserves changes more is the worst thing we can do. Having half their abilities tied to clunky pet AI while Sage has straight up superior versions and a bunch of new toys is a kick in the face. SCH, like WHM, will be "viable" but inferior.
It's also interesting to note that on top of an inferior toolkit, SCH and WHM will be the only healers to pay heal tax now (via potency loss from using lilies or Aether heals). AST and Sage can fire off their abundance of powerful oGCD's for free.
Nah, just me. I have the receipts to back up going against the grain on many of SCHs whining about being ‘gutted’ and reminding them how broken the class truly was. The only problems unique to SCH are QoL related. Pet potency and delays are well known, that and a need for button consolidation given how most of its actions are locked out in certain states are the only issues. I may miss Bane but it doesn’t need to come back. Energy Drain could do with a rework that makes it a reward for resource management. But those are things I could levy at all healers.
I'm still not sure what the official source is for the information that's being communicated as "100% true" in this thread's original post. Either it's an unauthorized leak, which means that the poster would be in trouble with terms of service, or it more likely was personal hopes or speculation that was intentionally being presented as fact with multiple rude follow-up replies. I hope moderators look at this thread.
UPDATE: With the media tour videos now going live, it looks like this did end up being speculation that wasn't at all "100% true" despite it being advertised that way toward us.
It appears as though I was right to be skeptical.
I appreciate that you wanted to speculate and give your wishes for the class dear, and I really do wish you'd gotten your way with the Water spells, but perhaps such wishes should be better communicated as what they are - hopes for the future of WHM.
