I will always be a healer main, wish there was more to heal or more interesting ways to DPS (like most healers I think...)

All leveled. I think my favorite is WHM but it changes from one expansion to another. As of today, my most used is WHM, followed by SCH and I almost never play AST.
I used to be a SCH main in 2.0 and start of 3.0 but feel out of love with the job in 3.0. Only came back to it during this expac.

1. Played 2.0-3.0 pretty extensively, took a break and came back from ShB.

2. Keyboard/Mouse

3. VERY boring. Upwards of 90% of my GCDs are the same ability (broil). I have plenty of oGCDs but they are all heals and there just is so little need to actually heal anything.

4. Dungeons, Raids, Trails... everything.

5. Just 1, SCH. I couldn't even manage to stick with WHM as it was even more boring and I really dislike AST's aesthetics although from what I've read and seen it is probably more engaging.

1) 1.0 for a week and the Beta ARR - Saw scholar had a faerie and was like right I need that in my life.

2) I recently got a PS5 and wanted to play in bed and forced myself to learn and started with RDM (fell a bit in love) and then back to scholar to try healing. I cant use KB + Mouse on PC anymore. I use controller, kb and mouse if on PC.

3/4) I love healing but it isn't a challenge as it was but the Healer/DPS and the simplicity of it I am going to steer clear of that debate as it it endless like the apple/android argument. I am all about the story personally. I will say I love ARR/ HW/SB Scholar as it kept me feeling busy and i liked the Dots. Totally get both sides of the conversation about simplicity, over complication etc. I suppose I like the busy feeling with little gain. I am used to the EQ days of camping and the very hard days of grind so am a bit more willing to invest in getting something.

5) I maxed out all healers - I dislike WHM the most because i dislike like reactive healing of all types. I didn't mind NOCT AST but the card system isn't to my liking. Scholar I wish was more preventative healing orientated as I am a person who likes to mitigate things and its true to life.

Going to level RDM (i did think SMN) and switch to scholar when I hit 90 and see what happens with healing. I will never give up scholar but may play it less.

Since late 1.0/early 2.0

Controller (PS player)

3) Do you find healing too boring, too hectic, or just right?
Healing is fine and generally every kit is (nearly) complete. Personal DPS and job mechanics are unfulfilling on WHM, clunky on SCH, and too homogenized and doing the bare minimum on AST.

Solo, PVP, Roulettes, Ex/Sav

5) How many healers have you maxed and which is your preferred to play? Which is your least preferred?
All classes at 80. I have mained WHM since 2.0 because of its more potent party saving ability. If I keep healing aim EW, likely will be SGE.

1) Been playing since release using all roles equally

2) Mouse/Keyboard - tried to use controller but I just never could get the hang of targeting as I was used to F1-F4 from previous games

3) I wouldn't call it boring per se, AST seems to have solved the battle flow style the best imo

4) I'm playing mostly 24man raids as healers so anything can happen at any given time so I can see players thinking healing is boring if you got your perfect static that plays the game perfectly

5) Leveled all 3, I think it depends on the level range so far. I found AST to be again the most balanced while WHM is just ridiculously strong in dungeons. While I used to play Scholar a lot (we're speaking of times where you could shield up the tank, cleric stance dot bane while you manually could cast embrace with fairy here), I think their current toolkit is TOO specific and overkill for normal content. It really lacks the 30s instant barrier type which the pure healers have as it aligns with tank busters most of the time which is very satisfying. I think Scholar would benefit greatly if Adlo/Succor were pure barriers which can be turned into pure healing versions via Emergency Tactics instead of being mixed.

I started with the open beta but stopped for a number of years - I've had spurts of playing here and there so it's hard to tally it all up.

All of it, at the moment. I'm still working through ARR and dusting the rust off my playstyle so I'm still learning a lot. I stopped playing shortly before Heavensward came out IIRC and I've either forgotten a lot of my strats or so much has changed that the strats I do remember aren't viable anymore.

5) How many healers have you maxed and which is your preferred to play? Which is your least preferred?
None yet, but I'm putting most of my time and effort into WHM

1) Played briefly in 1.0 but have played EXTENSIVELY since ARR
2) For the most part controller
3) I don’t find healing boring exactly but I also don’t find overly satisfying the higher item levels get during a content cycle
4) I used to do the more hardcore raiding but I’ve become rather casual over the last couple years
5) All of them and I’ve mained SCH since literally forever. And WHM is the one I play the least.
