You get to see your character going to sleep/waking up if you log out via your bed/log in into the inn.

Makes me curious how they'd set it up..,
unless while placing beds, you'd have to access a separate menu to set up the zone for the sleep animation. since if it auto places it, it may make a buggy screen, clipping, etc.
Place Bed->Access Bed Settings in Furniture->Set which side of bed to climb into from.
Might give them reason to add new types of beds.., Even sunken/In-furniture options.[aka in floor, no corners/posts, in Furniture with steps, etc] where you can set up to climb on top from either side, bottom, top of the bed.
(But I'm getting too far into that idea, since it ain't fully what the thread is about. Which is a Bed/Sleep-Nightwear/Glamour Switch on animation.)
It would be nice – the "warp to standing on bed then get down" animation is always a bit silly – but I would guess that we don't have it because housing beds come in various shapes and sizes so the animation isn't guaranteed to work correctly.
I wonder if they could just do some kind of fade out thing where your character vanishes from their position and appears again already lying down on the bed. If you're going to shift position anyway, it might as well be straight into sleep mode.
Related thought: with graphics improvements since the game was created, I wonder if they could update those animations to include actually pulling up the bedsheets instead of always sleeping on top of them?
