I wonder if the nightmare with Van Darnus is triggered from beating Garuda, since he shows up in the cs to mock your efforts (again)

Garuda(Hard?) or easy, I have yet to due either still. if its easy mode I beieve more here would mention it. I am not good at checking what people have completed. so the two people who mentioned getting the dream can you tell if they have completed Garuda on hard? sorry for my incompetence on that matter.

if not you, can someone check the two people seeing if they beat her on hard?

I checked Arland Richter the character who posted the screens, and only see:
"Arland Richter has completed the Maelstrom quest “In for Garuda Wakening (Limsa Lominsa)”!"

which I think is just easy mode...

Well if they use any sort of logic, you'd have to have at least seen em once (cant dream about who you don't even know, not even subconsciously) so if anything, probably from at least doing it kills with fire.

Though still could be completely random.

Just looked through the list and couldn't find it. :(

My character awoke from a nightmare when i logged in after the emergency maintenance. The nightmare started with a view of Dalamud from Mor Dhona then showing myself waking up with many dead soldiers around me, As i knelt down Nael Van Darnus points his spear at me and then thrusts it, The screen goes black. Then i wake up :3

Edit: I also couldn't find it in my 'The Unending Journey'... I don't think its re-playable that way. Everyone will just have to sleep a lot until they find it.

i knew there where dreams but i didint know there where ones you'd actually "See"...the only one i got was something about a "brilliant light of Succor" lol.

i've also been getting items from examining the bed though its only been a pretzel and a potion so far.

I had the nightmare too!

but the Echo was used to see just slightly into the past only from what I can remember. I think this is nightmare not echo -- but I see why you are saying it now that I read the post you quoted

As a male lala all I could think was "ohmygodmylegsareNOTthatfat!" and "close your legs you tart!"

These sequences are really cute. ('-' ) I didn't even realize they'd been implemented! I am going to try this out just for kicks right now.

I asked in the other topic, but I might as well as here.

For those that got the nightmare sequence, did you happen to visit Mor Dhona prior to logging out? I just wandered over to the Imperial Stronghold entrance and returned back to rest for a few hours to see what happens..

It'd be cool if there was a bunch of these cutscenes of dreams/nightmares that require you to do certain things.

Example: Kill Downy Dunstan - Witness a dream about Karakuls jumping over Ifrits.

Just to add to the wacky factor. :P

It shows all three, I believe. I think the one before Merlwyb (that's how you spell it) is Kan-E-Senna (the one in the white robe right beforehand). I could be wrong, but the white robe just gave me the impression that it was Kan-E-Senna, so going by that, all three should be dead somewhere in there.

(I could be wrong. o.o)

Last night our Linkshell group tackled Garuda (easy) quest and then I logged off for the night, then logged in this morning having that nightmare.

Bed animations were a very nice touch for this patch. And best of all, I can store my reindeer suit in my armoire so I can wear it to bed.

I like the elzen female's sleep animation ^^ I think it's pretty funny to see the taru females though, have some discretion! Even if you are in your own room >_>"

I was referring to the easy fight, and I'm convinced it's a requirement now, since I just had the same nightmare.

I received the nightmare cut scene before finishing the Machina quest at the end of the Primary Story Arc.
I don't believe there is any other per-requisite besides going to sleep for an extended period of time in an inn bedroom.

Elezen males look FABULOUS in bed.
