I'd be more inclined to believe that take if it weren't for the various accounts having all their crafters levelled, because that's a lot of unnecessary levelling just to get a fake account up and running for forum posting.

It still could be multiple people, but it looks like the characters are being used for other purposes.

You may well be right .

I do still think its a co-ordinated effort by multiple people. The timing of posts ,the amount of accounts involved, replying to their old threads that were created by old now seemingly unused accounts that were also well known for doing the same, which have topics of nerve touching subjects that seem to tie in with a subject or controversy of the week/month .

He's a popular WoW streamer.

He's also playing on the Aether data center. You won't see him unless he breaks down and makes a Crystal alt to visit Balmung.

Ignoring the entire thread but posting this one tidbit. By making a thread about Asmongold you're still bringing attention to him regardless of intention. I take a much simpler approach.

He streams? Good for him. None of my business otherwise.

So sick of these lame posts. His toxic moonies have overrun the forums. yet more WoW refugees ruining FFXIV.

Don't worry OP I honestly can't see Asmongold sticking around in the long run, he's having fun now but so is everyone who starts for the first time, the cracks will eventually show though and he will criticise the things he doesn't like about the game and I fully expect that to start WW3.

IMO his sticking around is going to boil down to whether or not he likes the endgame and how we do our raids, and if there's a way for him to flex. I also don't see how his mount offs would work in FFXIV because of how we generally don't allow mounts in an instanced area and it's got to be in the open world.

The guy is a cult leader; his followers are acolytes. His arrival here should be seen as nothing more significant than a bunch of fanatics hauling into port for a few days. They'll soon tire themselves out and drift off somewhere else.

They are bitches. They couldn't handle someone who is blunt, doesn't sugar coat things and calls them as he sees them and god forbid, has a different opinion than them. I've seen far more toxicity from this community towards him than he has shown since he started playing.

Right but when someone else does it, they get banned, its not secret asmogold is getting "special treatment" from SE

But if it was a regular streamer, doing what asmogold is doing and saying in that video, they would get a warning or a suspension.

Arthars slandered the player on-stream, over their parse. You'd get banned for doing that in-game text too. Current ToS allows them to address it in anyway possible.

Asmon doesn't slander people on-stream.

Even in his WoW raid stream yesterday he didn't slander people he kicked out of his raid. He gave them warnings they couldn't wipe again, or continue to mess up mechanics. He even explained to some of this newer/XIV viewers that he doesn't belittle people, he tells them what the problem was and why they have to leave and be replaced. Heroic and above raiding has a lot of personal responsibility.

The difference here is what happens in game. They were breaking CoC within FFXIV and that's stupid.

I mean, if it's out of game, and not on any SE site, then it honestly doesn't matter.

Indeed it does as does the top difficulty in any multiplayer game , this one included. These modes require absolute dedication and you have to be on top of your game or it fails .

No good manager of a football/soccor allows someone to slack off especially if they are in the top 3 of say the UK premiere league . If a player isn't up to the task for whatever reason they get substituted or sidelined on the bench not even taking to the pitch and the manager there will have stern words with the players that do mess up .


Its the nature of top difficulty teams/tiers/leagues.
