I will say congrats when I see something other than BLM stacking, BLM stacking = too weak, thanks for making other jobs useless BG all your fault because people think BG strat is the only way.

Why don't you be the difference maker then?

You could try a chill-pill. When you're fighting an unknown monster it's often easier to use a safe strategy (ie. ranged damage) to go for the "first kill." No one is forcing anyone to use BLM, and I'm sure adjustments will be made as things are better known :P

PS. Please WHM stack for next screenshot so everyone freaks out.

We actually tried every single job out, we went with the setup we found was best suited for our style of strategy and it worked.

I wouldn't say this fight is impossible if you use different classes because it really isn't, and if people feel the need to use the same setup as us than that is their fault not ours.

We actually used all of the jobs (except Paladin) due to it's underbalanced state. We used DRG/MNK for Garuda DPS but the fact that she scoots around a lot when using abilities makes landing directional combos on her a real nerv-wrecker when 70% of the fight is a DPS race or you LOSE. COMPLETELY. No mulligans. You will come to understand this in time.

Will it be killed with a melee setup eventually? Sure will. Will we do that? Sure will because we love the fk out of MNK.

I mean hell, that is more or less why my LS is 'stacking' Dragoons on Ifrit right now (we don't dedicate much time to endgame content, okay? Also it's more like the real reason is that most of our players have LNC at level 50 and nothing else >>)

DH, ARC THM only dds (took me atleast 1 month to get one run because I had LNC 50 only at that time)

Ifrit at first LNC only, then THM only,

AV BLM BRD only,

CC BLM BRD only

Now it will be Garuda BLM (Possibly BRD) only.

Noticing a pattern here? I am lucky enough to be in a linkshell that does balanced parties rather than stacking but I have been in plenty that basicly say BG's jobs only.

Shout group for Ifrit after the class reforms in 1.20 (think it was then) I say I have LNC and alot of experiance playing it there and know the fight and they say sorry THM onry.

I for one would like to see videos of balanced fights because most people go with tried and tested strats, ie BG's BLM BRD only strats.

People still do moogle with all archers. Nearly every party I ever did moogle with said "archer or GTFO" because that was the accepted "norm" because that's what people did first.
Though I didn't care seeing as ARC is my favorite DD class lol

I see his concern because of the sheer amount of players who only use the original strategy and say GTFO to everything else. (don't take this the wrong way, I don't agree with how they said it and a big grats to BG on this ;P)

now as far as the contest, i dont think its fair of SE to count the two "playable" hours prior to the maint. due to server crashes, player crashes, patcher problems, etc.

IMO the kill time should be in the 5h40m period. not 7h40m.

edit: and yeah my guess was 5hr 27min....so i guess i am a little biased about it lol.

Class stack wahhhh, I waited all night for someone else to win so I can copy their strategy but as it happens it's not one I like! Now I will cry forever on the forums about it! I'm an entitled dickehead!

Whats hilarious is the only fights we've ever "stacked" BLM on are Coincounter and Chimera. Mistress we use 1 BLM. Princess/Myrmidon we use 0 BLM. This guy is a treasure trove of knowledgeable information apparently.

My fave job is DRG, and I go to ANY endgame say I have DRG MNK BLM (because I like all of them) and its BLM BLM BLM BLM BLM BLM BLM, I will do a balanced party when I get to Garuda and I know it will be possible, I prefer DRG but can never use it because everyone sticks to BG strats like they are law.

Congrats BG! I'm personally only upset @ SE over the false promises of this fight being melee centric ideally.

And watch in a week or two...
