I'm in my 20s and I can't think of it either. Would I collapse in on myself? Would I go to family or isolate? Would I loot or would I try to find some semblance of order? I genuinely don't know.

I'd clear my browser history. Don't need some alien xenoarcheologist in the distant future stumbling across that.
Well, I won't spoil anything but I'm pretty happy with the MSQ's this time around. It kept my attention throughout and I'm eager to see where things go next.
I did some gathering and crafting to make some of the new housing items. Along with other additions, I made a mini-bar in my character's basement:

As humans, we're always in a final days scenario as individuals. Any breath could be your last. It's the human condition.
Now, to answer the actual question posed... I'd just cling to the woman I love, and try to avoid areas where mass hysteria is going down. If we were the only ones to know, then I would make sure to go eat at my favorite Chinese restaurant, and maybe visit my mom's grave. Let her know I'll be seeing her soon.
I never know what to do with myself during emergency maintenances... ;n;
Good suggestion! I'll craft one later tonight.
The basement is proving to be the hardest part to decorate - there's so much space, but only so much furniture that I'm likely to use. I'm considering moving the kitchen from the top floor to the rear of the basement, but then that still means I'd need to figure out what to do with the space upstairs. >_>

Hmmmmmm... A cool/chill lounge with a fireplace or a cozy library?
I always get inspiration online, it‘s pretty neat what people accomplish with the stuff given! I‘m sure with what ever you come up with tho, it‘s going to look as slick as your bar. ;)
That's a good idea! Yeah, I think a library would work well. I'm mostly going for a 'manor house' aesthetic, so that'd fit nicely. My housing ward is dead, so I never see my neighbours and hardly anyone comes to visit...so it's nice to talk about it here.
I'm terrible at getting the clipping bug to work and I'd prefer to work within the confines of what it legit rather than mash things together. I also want to leave some breathing room to avoid filling space just to fill space. The latest patch added a bunch of furniture I happened to be eager to use, so hopefully that continues to be the case in upcoming content drops as well.
This is my attempt at an entrance hall:

Losing my mind farming Delubrum Reginae for the relic. Someone please end me...
On the plus side after 75 runs I got the mount. Also I have to say I'm not in love with the Law Relics. The BRD one is nice though. I love the cello-like look it has and it's a beautiful color to start with.
Easily done! I think we're on the same data centre? Feel free to send me a message sometime and we can hang out!
I really like the raid itself, though I've definitely got burn out. I've finished my RDM relic, though I'm slowly working on DRK, MCH and PLD as well.
My OCD kills me when I see some of the ways people clip items to make their houses look more unique. Like, I'll see this huge mess of excess objects around the side, or whatever. It actually bothers me. Hopefully someday, SE can not only make housing easier to attain, but easier to decorate.
You have a huge amount of work to do decorating that house, I both envy you for the size of that house, and don't envy you for what it would take to make it look great(er).
This 1000% ^^^
Big house? GREAT! ... decorating said big house?...
ahah...
It's a struggle. I'm hoping we get the ability to remove permanent pillars and change the interior features regardless of location.
I'm also crossing my fingers for a lot more Ishgardian furniture to be made available once Ishgardian housing is released. I doubt I'll move there, though - I like the city itself and the aesthetics but I live next to a forest in the real world so Lavender Beds is just more comfortable for me. :p
Been making the new campfire minion for a few friends :)
I wish one day SE massively ups the item count for large homes, and also allows removes the limit on how many sets of armor one can have on display. Part of the reason I do not bother to deco my large plot since what I want to do cannot really be done with the item limits.
Though the new campfire emote is awesome. Was talking to people how I wish this game had a campfire emote like in WoW.
Out of game: I went hiking behind my house today - as I do every Saturday. It was fun, since the weather was sunny and a lot of the wildflowers were in full bloom.
In game: I did a few roulettes and some crafting. Made myself the campfire minion as well, since I forget that was a thing until I saw it mentioned here. So thanks. :P
Scotland :o
Very pretty!
Nothing close to where I live is that scenic. Well, at least that I can think of, hehe.
I went to Greece once, about 12 years ago.
I mostly wound up photographing animals/pets and scenery.

Is it sad that since I haven’t been able to log in to XIV in a while (few days), I’ve been regularly lurking in forum threads to get a somewhat sense of satisfaction?
I tripped over my ethernet cable and broke it, so I have no internet on my PC until thursday, and this happened sunday. AAAAAGH.
Yup, very cute cats! I adore cats in general. I've one myself - she's very affectionate and friendly. She likes sitting on the bookcase next to my PC and watches me play FFXIV from time to time.
I've mostly been idling in-game lately, though. I plan to fill the time between now and the expansion by slowly working my way through all of the 5.0 relic weapons and polishing off various achievements that aren't too terrible to pursue.
I guess I'll be more in the right mindset for that when the May patch is out, though.
Ever heard a song that hits waaay different than it should the second time around you hear it?
Was playing nba2k with my brother yesterday and one of the songs that was playing was Control by Aaron Taos. The way the lyrics fit perfectly in the times we live in made check the released date and it came out in 2018.
Either this guy predicted it or it's just eerily coincidental.
Edit: I guess now that I think about it, this song was more sbout depression and/or anxiety, which both subjects are unfortunate byproducts of Covid :/
There’s plenty of songs that are like that! Handlebars by the flobots was it for me. Before I used to view it as a third-person narrative (never really related to it but saw it as a cool story of how anyone can be corrupted, they all start off as kids riding bikes with no handlebars), but found myself relating to it a little bit years later and viewed it more as a 1st person narrative.
Dwarves are the best beast tribe ever. Second are Pixies.
Have to say Im enjoying myself, decided to have a go at some of the older ARR recipes, and oddly enough, was actually ABLE to get my hands on some of the more esoteric mats LOL...Ive made a few of the Round weps for glamour...crafting is a BLAST.
A shiny PLD and a DRK with a lightblade...whats not to love? :p
Beautiful scenery!
I want to visit Scotland one day and will definitely go hiking there. From the pictures I've seen over the years it has some spectacular views.
Might take a while until things have calmed down though.. we have a full lockdown here with curfew between late evening and early morning hours. It's strange to see such a big and lively city become a complete ghost town after a certain time of the day.
