Yeah, no. If people want to advocate for some further merit test for Savage and gate-keep there, fine, have at it.

Leave the normal game alone. If someone is new to healing, maybe instead of being in a such a damned impatient rush, have a little patience if they're faltering. Be kind and understanding. Offer to help if you have experience but respect if they learn better figuring it out on their own. And if you can't handle that the game might give you someone less than perfect, don't let it match you with people! Go with a pre-made. We don't get to choose who the game gives us and we can either be adults and work with it or whine like children that we didn't get exactly what we wanted when we left our fate up to a random matching system.

But because people don't understand something so simple.
Why should we care if these people can't progress or get out of the game for making this mandatory? If people are lazy to read your skills and endlessly stick to a test, why should I worry?

Some here are worrying about people who have never cared about themselves or others, because if they were really worried about others they would know that their problem affects EVERYONE who plays with them and unfortunately this is a damn MMO and if you have the laziness of not knowing how to make an aoe with a Red Mage is affecting me when I play with you.

So, if they don't care about other people, why should I worry if they can't pass a test that only requires you to know how to cast an aoe?

Simply No. The OP argument has no solid evidence that this will be the case. Look at GNB and how successful that job was and it started at 60. I have no doubt that SGE will bring in new successful healers. Its probably the healthiest added job cycle we have got since HW.

I would love new solo challenges but making it mandatory is not good for the game. Maybe give some hair styles and glamours as a reward and most people would feel the need to complete it.

No not needed. Mandatory absolutely not. The game works just fine right now. Rarely issues in duties I run and I run plenty.

Good idea considering that a lot of people by level 80 still don't know what the stack marker is.
