Think we will ever get more hairstyles?

IDC about if it clips- we just don't have any good long hairstyles, any good wavy hairstyles or any good long hairstyles with bangs like Gaia's

That's abit presumptuous.

Let me help you out: Those of us who want longer hairstyles don't mind clipping.
Especially when the best glamours aren't bulky and provide minimal clipping at most

I did read that there was the Twins hairstyle listed somewhere, it was late but I did see it.

I am not a big fan of the twins or their hair >.>

I mean, the patch isn't over. We didn't get one with 5.3 either, because we got it in Bozja with 5.35, and before it we got one with 5.21. That said, there are still 5.41 and 5.45.

The big thing also is... they NEED to stop giving us the same thing. We have a lot of hairstyles regardless of being good or not, as that is subjective... but objectively we keep getting the same silhouettes over and over.

I’d love to have new wavy or even curly styles.

I'd like SE to take a look at popular FF characters hairstyles & implement them
like Tifa's hair or Irvine's hair

you will get another braided hair and short spikey one again and will like it!

New hairstyles? Sure. New LONG hairstyles probably not, at least not longer than what we have now. Though I like that they added more cpose options this patch that was unexpected and cool. I hope they do more of that going forward.

I hope the notion of them adding some new poses etc, is a sign of glamours & cosmetics to come
I think if the designers who give us hairstyles will give us atleast cuter, pretty/ more glamorous hairstyles (like Emet-Selch's, Hilda's & Gaia's)- but also a large variety rather than these flat, ugly short spikey hairs

We are getting a (imo cute) new mid-length hair style this patch that is very feminine. All of the hair they have released this expansion that I can recall have been from the hairstyle contest, but this upcoming one is the last one that they have yet to release. After that perhaps they’ll begin working on NPC styles becoming available or even new designs entirely- hopefully some of the stuff players have been requesting for a while. Masculine short cuts, ultra feminine long styles, and updos.

But yeah- two new hairs this patch. One mogstation (twins hair) and one from Ishgard (mid length with a little braid to the side).

Heya I have heard about the new Twins hairstyle but not my cup of tea, the other you mention I have no heard anything about yet.
Do you know where it was said that we will get those and when? the contest one looks nice I hope they port it into the game well :)

Seems it was found it in the patch data. :) I say it’s from Ishgard as it’s not available in game yet and the other Ishgard installments all had a contest hair as a reward, so I’m 99% with the content left to release that it’ll be from there.

If they're going to force us to stomach new hairstyles that are very similar to existing ones, I don't see why they can't just tweak some of the shorter hairstyles to give us a bit more variety. I wish they'd stop leaning on the hairstyle contest, too. Especially when so many entries ignored the established rules and pushed many of the 'male' entries to be feminine/androgynous.

That Hrothgar and Viera can't even use most is just added salt on the wound. Why not skip adding any new hairstyles for a while in favour of different customisation features...?

Well, luckily after this patch the hairstyle contest designs will have run out. I’m with you on that last part- would love to see them pour more love in CC and new hair designs for all races/genders moving forward. Maybe I’m getting my hopes up but I’m really holding my breath for the Feb announcement. Without new races to contend with, I’m hoping that they have resources to turn their attention toward customization in 6.0.

Thank you so much :) Its just waiting and seeing now when it will be added haha. I do wish they would unlock all hair for everyone there would be more variety ^^

No joke. I'd rather them work on.. anything else.. in the character creator if they are going to continue releasing poopy styles. God forbid, we EVER get anything for Viera/hrothgar. I'm still holding out hope for the next expansion, because I would be really surprised if they release anything before. If they don't release anything then, I don't think we are getting anything for them..

Before they add more hairstyles, they should be adapting old hairstyles for viera + giving hrothgar new options. They dropped two half-finished races and haven't touched or even talked about improving the options for them since. It's frustrating to hear nothing about it every developer update. Hopefully we get more options next expac.

I'm also fine with them doing gender neutral hairstyles as long as they look good? Though I think there are other, higher priority things in the character creator that need to be taken care of first.

If I can ever win the Cloud one, I'd be satisfied to be honest. I have a fantastic idea for my character if I win it. Two contests in the span of three months, hope they have more down the road.

Cloud hair is the best Male hairstyle in the game it sucks so hard 0.1% of the playerbase has it, hopefully they add it for mogstation or something.

Yeah, I kind of like the Twin's hairstyle. And judging by the icon on Garlandtools website, I think the female version is mirrored like Alisaie's. The side braid is just the last entry from the old hairstyle contest, so they are kind of done with. Although I'm not mad at the styles that won and got implemented, I really think most of them kind of share a similar vibe, so I hope with them out of the way, the developers can deliver more unique silhouettes or styles that aren't just straight blowdried short hair.

I wish they used Eden's raids as a an opportunity to include FFVIII hairstyles : Quistis, Squalls, Rihnoa, Selphie even Laguna's ♥

You can get pretty dang close to Squall's hairstyle with a couple of the options available to us. Other than that yeah, I would love to see some FF 8 hairstyles.
