Yes. I really don't care if they add new jobs. I already think we have to many right now.

Eventually they’re gonna have to stop. Balancing will become impossible
20 is a nice round even number. 4 tanks, 4 healers, 4 ranged, 4 mage, 4 melee
Yes, I would keep playing. Not having any new jobs in the future is okay by me.
Of course I'd keep playing. I love the variety of jobs we have available currently, but many of them could use some major and minor overhauls. Honestly I'd rather they fix the jobs we have than keep adding new ones that are also flawed.
Yes, it would give them the opportunity to expand, or refine upon the preexisting jobs.
I only play Ninja so I'm good.
Yes. I would only stop playing if they stop adding glams. Otherwise what we have is good enough for me to keep subbing.
To echo several others in this thread: It would greatly depend on the treatment they give to the other jobs (healers especially, as that is my usual go to).
I will say, I do think the game needs at least one new healer though. >w>
I want more jobs, and I don't care about balance. The incessant balancing has ruined enough as it is. But I wouldn't say no to no new jobs but more stuff for the existing ones. Like... good stuff? Not more homogeneity.
I'll keep playing but it will be a bit...annoying to have only 3 healers still lol
Tbh yes i would, because we dont have all the ff classic jobs and id just switch over to ffxi, which honestly feels better like a real final fantasy game, and its a mmo, but this game ... with no hopd for a job to feel like a real final fantasy job ya id quit, they focus way to much on the mmo aspect qnd not enough time and effort on the final fantasy part.
I wouldn’t mind it. After they added time mage.
If keep playing. There are currently 18 jobs in the game and they're constantly being tweaked in between patches and expansions. New skills, mechanic changes, etc.
What I always recommend is for people to try jobs even if they think they won't like them. I main tank and dabble in melee DPS. I generally hate mage jobs but I've discovered that I really enjoy SMN and RDM. I started playing BRD because I liked the perform system and ended up falling in love with it which lead me to try MCH and I ended up liking that too.
more jobs please
Probably, but I would hope they would do something to diversify jobs. Maybe have them split off or gain customization.
Absolutely. There is only one job I am able to take to raids comfortably.
I do not really care to grind them all to level cap. I have other things to do.
If we don't get at least a 4th healer, maybe. It might be more of a situation where I come back for story content but otherwise unsub.
I would still play but I prefer they add more jobs just to balance the number of each jobs in a role and after implementing as much as many Final Fantasy jobs. But at the same time, balance among the job utilization should still be sustained. I know that's a lot of work but it's a challenge that I think the devs can handle. :)
I’m 50/50 on new jobs. Half of me wants new jobs (highest on my list would be a healer), but the other half of me has seen their vain efforts to homogenize the current jobs we have to “...be found three weeks later, half-eaten by wild dogs.” Bard lost its support identity almost entirely to dancer, AST lost a large portion of the lore it was founded on, SCH lost a faerie and debuffing by using dots lore, healers in general literally have a two button dps rotation, tanks have their own issues and a lot of sameness now.
If the past is any indication, do we really want more of the same in the future? Another green dps with a two button dps rotation, some flashy effects that are carbon copies of one of the other healers skills? I don’t know. Same can be said for tanks I guess, though with dps there’s more variety and to me the jobs are more intuitive.
If I had the choice, I’d rather them add the lore back to our old jobs so they don’t have to feel so identical OR the new job(s) have something different to set them apart from what we currently have. I probably won’t stop playing whether we get new jobs or not, but I’d hope we’d get something added to the game in return for not giving us any new jobs.
All I want is one expansion where they reanalyze the jobs and make massive adjustments to unhomogenize them. This is Final Fantasy 14 not Club penguin I dont wish for jobs that only have 5 buttons going for them or play exactly the same as 2/3 other jobs.
Yes because my favorite job was already implemented back in HW. Any jobs they add now is simply extra and not needed for me. However if they do stop adding jobs they need to use that time to add more battle content into the game.
I hope they keep added jobs and limit jobs
Probably not - since every time we 'lose' content what we end up getting in its place isn't nearly as bold as I'd like it to be.
Wouldn't quit, but it's a deterrent. Picking up a new expansion and realizing you absolutely love AST or GNB lasts a lot longer than that patch's MSQ or dungeons.
It would depend on how they handled combat and the current jobs. Most likely though, probably would stop playing eventually because I doubt theyd make up the lack of more content with a very good overhaul of the current jobs system. It doesnt have very much depth and if it did, it would probably take them 2 or 3 expansions worth of time to implement the changes that would make up for the lack of new jobs to begin with. They could surprise me, but I just don't see it. The least they can do is push a new job till they decide to tear it to pieces and give all its identity to the rest of the role 2 expansions later.
After seeing what Dnc and Gnb has gotten, it does seem to show devs struggling with gear and weapons, a few more new jobs they'll prolly end up stopping. Feel like the only way they'll continue beyond that is if classes end up sharing weapons.
Yes. I am so so so sick of levelling and sick of it being the content that everything is geared towards. All rewards= exp. ENOUGH gives us more interesting rewards please, and if that means less jobs, good.
“I don’t think we’ll ever get to the point where we want to stop adding jobs,” director Naoki Yoshida told Polygon. “For future expansions, adding jobs is really important. We couldn’t imagine not having new jobs. It’s part of the Final Fantasy series, and everybody loves jobs.”

Though the interview is three years old now I agree.
The reality of a MMO is that FFXIV 7 years old now and starting on it's final leg of the journey. I wouldn't be surprised if SE is already thinking and developing it's successor. I'm pretty sure the devs would love a new game engine and netcode to work with and fix the short falls that FFXIV has.
Well, I think they are doing an absolutely terrible job. I've been an AST main since 3.0 and I never felt more discouraged to heal. And tanking is boring. In FATEs or dungeon trash pulls I literally just use AoE #1 followed by AoE #2. That is not good design. And I'm not optimistic. The last few changes have seen to that.
As long as they continued to put out awesome story like they have this expansion not only yes but heck yes.
A new Job / Race is a lot of work. And it's works every patch because of new gear sets and balancing. I would gladly take more content IE 2 EX dungeons a patch vs 1, or something to drive people to open world content.
I'm in a weird position where I don't play much due to lack of overall enjoyment with the game right now. I actually enjoy leveling up a lot and I feel like getting all jobs from 70-80 went by a LOT faster than 60-70 did - even with the addition of 2 new jobs. So my answer is probably still yes, if they don't make the parts of the game I like even more scarce.
But, I have to admit if they don't add a full nature themed job and then announce no new jobs... I'll probably stop. It's the one theme I want to play most of all and it's been discouraging to not have anything happen in that department - and to have what little elements existed stripped from WHM.
I've been a WHM main since 2014. New Jobs are fun to play around with but I don't need them.
