Beastmaster as a non limited job, I do like the Blu content and don't mind some others going this route but I wanna main beast master and can't do that if it's a limited job.
1. A viking berserker type class, wielding two one handed axes. Preferably a dps, but tank works as well.
2. Updated character customization. Beards, a body hair texture toggle or slider. Updated textures and better short hair options.
3. More exciting dungeons. I'm not sure how to achieve this unless they change the formula and add some sort of "exploration dungeon" section. I'd love some bigger and more open dungeons.
4. Overall graphics overhaul.
5. Character battle voices in character creation.
These are just some ideas, in no particular order and some may not be possible but here's hoping!
I kind of actually want to see more of mixed races since Hilda is like that. I wouldn't think it would be that difficult to do really since that would just require new additions to character facial choices (like replacing Hyur ears with Elezen Ears) as a choice or say a Hyur with some Roe traits or a Hyur with Miqote Tails and Cat Eyes.
However they want to do it really; though such a request would be a slim chance since it looks like FFXIV is nearing the end (in my opinion, idk).
Other than that the implementation of the Geomancer as the final Magical Ranged DPS (Healer doesn't make sense IMO).
I second the Viking Class from Arngrim's post as a DPS; it will be like a alternate Marauder/Warrior Job that isn't tank based.
How about the obscure Green Mage? Hell we got almost of the rainbow at this point that exists in the FFverse; lets throw in the Green Mage to complete the set.

(Shouldn't have to add, but due to recent developments...) Male and Female options
- Bigger butts to everyone, Lalafells included
- more poligons on body models (because those realy look from PS2 )
- More faces/jaws/eyes/cheecks/noses/mouths to choose from
- better hair textures
- the option to select the voices, and animations, from a different race (like being a female Midlander with the emote animations of a female Miqo'te)
- More slots in the Glamour dresser; or unlimited slots if posible (maybe keep increasing the available space by buying It with Gil and after a certain amount of increases, start using something related to bicolor gemstones)
I want to see glamour levels.
So basically once you reach max lvl, the xp after that will go towards glamour levels which have rewards for each level which include, dyes, mounts, glamour and items.
Really I just hope they use the extra time to implement more content into the game or at least add more character customization options if they dont add the other genders.
Increased customization options for existing races would definitely be high on my list from an aesthetic perspective.
Battle wise, I would be stoked if they announced a proper overhaul of both healers and tanks to better incorporate job identity and finally pick a lane on what healers should be (combat medics or support) even if such a decision meant no new jobs at all. Granted, I think they might get crucified if no healer is announced.

Specially now that the minimum requirement for RAM memory to run FFXIV is above 4GB. And the VRAM requirements are much higher now so loading the entirety of Ul'dah shouldn't be a problem. They just have to remap the paths in the server architecture.
I'd really like to see those zones joined. It definitely looks possible from what we've seen in newer cities, unless perhaps the GC takes up a lot of memory or something.
It would also mean Ishgard gets left out on its own with needing separate zones for the two types of music? And/or keeping them vertically separated enough - I don't think you can see Foundation from the upper lookouts. I think it's implied there's some distance between each of the zone transition spots, whereas the starter cities fit together more tightly.
Combining them would still add some extra distance to ramps and tunnels, however that would add up vs the time taken by loading screens.
I'd like anything gameplay related. I'm one of these persons to whom graphics and glamour don't matter that much. Sure it's nice to have it, but I'd rather have most of the dev resourcesgo to things I can play regularly, which is what I want out of an MMO. If we had a character creation overhaul, I might pop a fantasia there to get some refinements, but tha tisn't something that I'd consider a worthy addition to the game. It would not keep me logged in regularly.
I want new forms of content, or scrapping existing dogmas and rebuilding them (dungeons, trials, raids). Open world content. More side-quests for the lore. More things to collect (minions, mounts, whatever). The problem since 5.0 landed for me is that we know what upcoming for each patch due to the clockwork cycle, and nothing is that engaging anymore...
TL;DR : I don't care about a pretty wrapping when the item inside is lackluster.
Personally instead of Hrothgar, they should have added the Lupin instead.
I'd like to think they're working on improving character creation in their spare time.
Personally, I would like any type of more Open World content. I'm looking forward to Eureka, because everyone has told me it is similar to the open world of Final Fantasy.
I would like more things akin to FATEs. And more rewards for FATEs outside of Shadowbringers. I really like the FATEs where you protect a village. It reminds me a tiny bit of one of the best features of 1.0, Hamlet Defense. Even though they're a highly inefficient way of gaining Exp., gil, and Flame Seals, I do them anyway, because I find them a lot more fun than running dungeons. Duty Finder takes me a little bit out of the world, whereas FATEs are far more immersive. The way enemies are places in dungeons, they feel like a game mechanic, I'm taken out of the location I'm in with Duty Finder. And by the time they're over, I've grown tired of fighting the same enemies over and over. Unlike Trials where it's one long, interesting fight, dungeons feel repetitive by the time I'm done with them. And I have to be very careful not to burn myself out on them. I can't deal with doing very many per day.
I don't tire of doing side quests and FATEs, on the other hand. Being out and about doing things like Beast Tribe Quests or FATEs makes me more feel a part of the world. I wish there was more content like it. Instanced content makes things feel disjointed and less immersive. I'll take more of any kind of content, anything at all, at this point, that isn't instanced. I wish we could have some open world dungeons out in the world map, that anyone can share in, similar to FATEs, not requiring a party.
In 1.0, there was also rumors of plans to add a Disciple of Land Shepard job, one that would allow you to tend to creatures. It would be a lot more fun way of getting milk or wool than fighting monsters. And I want more non-combat content. It would make me so happy if I could tend to a field of Karakul and pet them. And doing something gentle.
And speaking of a farming lifestyle or content. Shadowbringers has brought up a need for fields and fieldworkers to feed people in Eulmore. Botany is nice, albeit your repeating static textures where the only thing that changes is whether they are shining. And so is being able to grow seeds in a Player Housing area. But it would be nice to tend fields Story of Seasons style. I would love to tend to a realistic feeling rice field or wheat field. Where it really feels like I'm really watering and growing things.
Sometimes, I don't want to feel like Warrior of LightDark, saviour of worlds. Sometimes I just want to feel like Old McLalafell, who had a farm.
I also feel like Grand Company content has been somewhat neglected. More quests, hunts, and all sorts of things, anything, would be nice for Grand Companies. I would really like to do more for my Grand Company, and express my national pride.
Speaking of the new eureka
Make every new zone an eureka zone in the next expansion
Start relics from the beginning of the new expansion; you get a basic relic at the beginning of the 6.0 msq which you level up in the same way you level them up in an eureka zone.
Why make separate eureka zones when you can just use the 6 expansion zones for it?
The 6 zones are only used for msq and gathering; as we've seen...with TRUSTS and dungeons being a better leveling option, the open world is irrelevant to the game. Give it some relevance by making them relic zones.

- Upgraded engine so quests etc... work dynamically and won't require those stupid ground clicks to activate etc...
- Upgraded UI so you can actually do stuff if you have duty popped, retainer open, glamour plate open etc...
- More character customization
- Different playstyles for all classes

Just adding derplander's stubble seems to be causing issues so aside from maybe more hairstyles [*cries in Hrothgar*] I kinda doubt we'll be seeing more character customizations anytime soon, but one can always stay optimistic.

They said they wouldn't (or might not) be adding any more new races? Fine by me! I'd love it if they instead put work on the races already present.
Ah I see...they designed A Realm Reborn without foresight, in terms of mapping it on the server so it corresponds to what we see on the map. Gridania's New Gridania might exist below Ul'dah's Steps of Thal in the server paths
Yeah, well...they could still fix it if they put time into it, the graphical assets are already there, they'd just have to spend extra time working on the server configuration for the game. Which won't be easy but if they're not adding the missing genders, they might be able to allocate that money into this.
If the missing genders are not added I'd like to see extra voice options for the existing races/genders. I'd personally appreciate more consistency in the voice choices, like having a specific design to them. With some races you only get that blueprint in like 5 voices, then the rest are just random voices that don't align. Would just appreciate more choices here.
No helmets hats = more Hairstyles
If the missing genders are not added and the helmets/hats situation for female Viera and male Hrothgar will not change I'd like them to get a lot of new hairstyles for the start of the next expansion to make up for the lack of hats.

If 5.3 concludes the ShB story then obviously they will probably showcase some stuff for the next expansion.

2. All i want is a massive update on the character creator for ALL races currently with new faces/hairstyles and any sort of option possible[fix hrothgar/viera obviously included here]
3. Hair Clipping, this is the first game i use short hair and liking them, but long hair are my preference and i feel like im punished for using them with my prefered glams

Gpose graphics quality, detail, and physics engine as an option in the Graphics settings.
