Rescue is 2.0's grass.
It needs to be discussed at length, we need multiple threads to ensure that all angles are properly handled before being ignored by the dev team.
If one of the thread falls to page 3, they shall be bumped for maximum awareness.

Rescue threads need to be...rescued.

Yeah that's pretty much my experience aswell. I got a couple of "sorry wanted to test it xD" and "whoops misclick" but the majority of it was genuinly well-meant and had I been in their shoes I probably wouldn't have trusted me to get somewhere in time either because I tend to cut it really, really close. Or I was in Don Mheg and the healer didn't know that you can't Rescue people to the other side after the tightrope walk.
The only runs where I see Rescue get used every time and usually multiple times is in Copied Factory because of the sheer amount of people who are about to get themselves killed. Marx Smash and the box drop on the 2nd (?) boss are almost guaranteed to kill someone.

People actively trying to cause problems for randoms is something I only see rarely and never without a very vocal disagreement in party chat beforehand. Of course if people queue together they may troll each other and them not being on the same server isn't really an indicator that they are strangers. So as long as it's not directed at me and I'm not bothered by it, I'll keep quiet. If they feel bothered, they are free to speak up. If not, they are probably premade.

Eh, I added one because the first thread seemed to just be griping about Rescue being terrible and how tanks should figure out how to most effectively kill off any healer who even has it on their hotbar. Because I felt "if you think Rescue needs to be removed, what would you give healers instead to ensure they still have some options for saving folks in situations where Rescue is currently the way to do that" was a more productive topic (and a better use of creative energy) than just "I hate Rescue, and healers are all awful trolls; how can tanks most effectively kill them?"

But I grant that in hindsight, trying to actually start productive discussion on the topic might've been a mistake, since the whole thing just keeps spiraling and each thread basically turns into some variant of the same thing. :/

Remove it from the game, very few use it for good, I have seen people pull tank off the edge just to wipe the entire party or even yank them into aoe's on purpose.
To those who use it correctly will defend it but you cannot defend those who use it the wrong way.

It gets old because every other dungeon has that one person who is itching to cause problems who doesn't care and they don't get in trouble due to the fact its a mechanic in the game.
best option is either remove it or remove the option for it to target tanks.

This was not meant to be a complain thread, I enjoy rescue and with all the negative threads around recuse I figured one thread showing the cool things behind rescue would be nice.

Guess the disdain for the skill goes beyond the useful applications. People do tend to remeber negative experiences and wish to share said experiences over the positive ones.

Take it off the hotbar and never put it back on.
