The night before the servers went down I looked at my ARM SP and thought, "hey, just 130k till I'm finished. I'll wait until my fatigue resets tomorrow and grind out the rest." Yeah...about that.

After I ding 50 I'll probably celebrate by porting around the world a few times with all that beautiful anima that will be waiting for me.

Its going to be nice to log on and have plenty of anima, not be fatigued in 3 classes! With still so many changes expected still on the way i still missed playing FFXIV as the game is now.

Hmm not much to choose from... If I had to then I would say....

A message to you and to the moderator who took my post down. Please go ahead and ban me, why would I ever want to be part of a community where even the "MODERATORS" can't take a persons opinion for exactly that....an opinion. I understand that you know your game needs work SE, or at least you should know. That should be more of a reason for less talk more action. It has been 6 months I mean common. When a game that just came out already has 12x the amount of players that you guys can get on a GREAT day then obviously you never learned anything from FFXI. Don't get me wrong I am an avid FFXI fan pre Abysea, but I am not a fanboy that will turn a blind eye to what this game is. So yes IN MY PERSONAL OPINION this game is boring in it's current state and Rift has a million more things to keep more occupied and enjoying my time. Also, if THIS post gets deleted under the same vague ruling of "Posting aimed to create a negative impact on the community or its members." that would be a complete lie. Well I just bought this game yesterday (Monday) so the first thing I will do when the servers are online is create a character!

I'll probly hop on and start leveling my new character on Fabul or maybe get on and chat it up with my LS on Trabia. Then I'll be headed to XI to chat it up and check up on my friends on Ifrit.

Make sure I still have all my hq items I crafted just prior to the servers being off line. After that back to farming steel nuggets, and hq oak lumber.

Your original post was pointless and unnecessary and would be considered by most to be a troll post. So yes, of course it would be removed as there was nothing remotely constructive about it. All it would do would incite negative responses.

Popularity != Quality. History demonstrated that the popularity of wow clones is always short lived.

lol my first day will be cursed, i desided to do a full windows redownload on my pc cause it been running slugish and couldn't figure out why. a week or2 from no mmo's sounded like a fitting time to do so. but i forgot to save my macro's. so i gotta do them alllllll over again, so waisting a few hours on that crap.

on top that i need to redownload all the patches from scratch>< ...also my game control needs redo'ing. i can do that while it's offline but i messed half of it up lol.

but when i'm done with that i'll gallop around in joy, i'll stare at my 100anima and maybe fap one out then do my leves or something lol.

Set up my retainers and grind some carpentry while I wait for leve group to log on.

First thing I plan to do when I log in will be to try and find out how many of my LS friends havent quit the game while the servers were down for almost 2 weeks.

Seems like people have gone one of two ways with the servers down. They either moved on to other games and will likely wait it out for the major patches, or they realized how much they enjoy the game already despite the lack of content and fixes that are needed.

On the contrary I am very open to any opinion anyone would have to offer, however, I don't see you stating any opinions. Also it is not for you or anyone else to accept my opinion at all and tbh I could care less if you did. I was simply using my freedoms to express an opinion. I get extremely frustrated with all the fanboy's saying "WoW clone" or "WoW sucks" both of those statements are false. Rift is a completely different game while yes it has things very similar to WoW it also has things very similar to EVERY OTHER MMO IN HISTORY including FFXI and FFXIV (just like every other gaming company has done with every other genre...take whats good and make it better). The whole WoW sucks argument can also be completely thrown out as numbers show WoW does not suck.....and number don't lie. It is simply a matter of preference and that is it. Oh and before you go off on a rant about popularity != quality again because of my numbers comment really think about it. Would it be popular if it was not good? And do you think FFXIV is quality in it's current state?

WoW doesn't suck (in itself, it's community does, but that's another matter). But WoW clones will always have and always had a very short lived popularity, because they offer pretty much exactly the same experience, and people don't leave their level 85 character on wow (in which they literally invested years of their life) behind for too long if there's nothing different to keep them elsewhere. Once the novelty factor fades, initial content is devoured, and the flaws start to surface, it's back to wow.
That's simply how the market works, how it worked so far, and how it'll work for rift.

Ummm... your post was taken down so I don't know what ALL of it touched on, but basing it off of the debates you're having with other people. FFXIV vs WoW and whatnot, I assume it had a lot to do with that.

I mean, I included an on topic remark at the end of my post prior to this, but according to the rules, my post can be taken down as well for addressing your derailing debate or argument. Just because you may have included something that was on topic doesn't mean it didn't have derailing potential.

i dont know if you'll read this but you wont need to download all patches from start, you'll do like 2 then it'll zoom ahead to the most recent ones that are required. You wont download every little one, the patches are quite good.

Hmm.. probably craft craft craft.. oh and level my Lancer and Archer as much as I can until school starts again!
