Absolutely! It's more the fact that many other exclusives have been added throughout the years from both the China and Korean games, so was merely asking if we could expect to receive this one at all - and if there had been any news on it? (As 3 years is a long time :) )

Thanks PacketDancer for your description! Interesting read...we have had other exclusives over from Korea, however, so it would seem weird for Actoz to only have licencing issues with certain outfits (unless they are paired with some designer promotion, or specific company promotion, which this may well have been as I can't even seem to find the name of the dress, let alone more information regarding it). I would also assume that SE would still have overall power - but again, as you said, it's kind of impossible to tell the real reason without having a member of SE comment themselves. Hopefully it is just the fact it maybe hasn't been spoken/hyped about as much in the 3 years since its initial release. Still, thanks for your detailed answers - definitely food for thought :)

Yeah, you got a point there. So it really wouldn't matter if it clips throught mounts lol. All dresses do.

Exactly, and most things clip awkwardly regardless nowadays, especially with tails/hairstyles. As it's likely to be released mogstation side (if released at all that is,) so people have the choice of buying if they don't mind a bit of clipping.

So like when is NA ever going to start getting exclusive outfits like China and Korea gets.

Clipping isn't a good excuse anymore - Exclusivity whether only an NPC can wear it or whatever reason; SE needs to stop making excuses about clipping being an issue when everything clips something in the game. Or maybe they forgot that they actually created Au Ra that could somehow fit helmets over their horns?

The dress is really ridiculous imo & I'd rather more dark fantasy/ steampunk related armors but that's just me.

Clipping is an awful excuse - so I'm hoping that this outfit is planned to be released soon, or at least there is another reason why we haven't had any news on it in over 3 years. We've had a number of other exclusives from Korea/China, so wonder why this one was ignored.

Hm...personally I'd prefer to avoid any more regional exclusives in general (it seems rather pointless if they're added at a later date regardless)

They actually aren't. You'll notice pretty key differences with the male outfit, different beading and scarves on the belt, and the female outfit doesn't look similar at all.

Never. NA/JP/EU is the primary version run by SE while the CN and KN versions are done by second parties that commission exclusive outfits and mounts that we end up getting at a later date.

Never, because korea and china are on completely different servers, while NA, EU, and JP all share the same servers. So any "NA exclusive" would just be something everyone gets. Along the same lines, there aren't JP exclusives either, NA and EU get everything JP gets.

Korea and China are also have a delayed release schedule for content compared to the normal servers and a lot of these little 'extras' are there to keep their fanbases happy in spite of issues such as that. While it might be frustrating, to date we've gotten almost every exclusive item they received so there's no reason to think that this dress won't eventually be sent on down the proverbial pipeline. It just might take awhile given the need to purchase rights and any other extenuating factors surrounding the acquisition.

Honestly one fix that ewould help is allow there to be a /cpose for mounts. The side saddle pose is already in the game with the wedding chocobo and some races sit like that on the ARR primal ponies.

The Maid/Butler, Black Fat Chocobo and Eastern Journey (aka Monkey King cosplay) were delayed due to SE having a harder time finding partners in North America and Europe that the majority of players in those areas could access for the Promotion. The items were never server exclusive. Someone with a JP account could transfer to or create a character on a NA or EU server and would still have those items.

As someone mentioned, this is not the Traditional Matriachs Attire (just google it to look), and is not available from the MogStation unfortunately - hence the creation of this thread! Hopefully soon though! There is clearly a want for it (especially the shoes)

And once again a version exclusive (the peacock mount) has been released despite it being under a year old (?), whereas this exclusive from 2017 has been ignored. :(

Taht would actually be a great idea. We already have a /cpose when sitting on the ground and on chairs, sofas, etc, so why not on mounts ?

Because they would need to re-do every mount for that as most of them have unique riding-positions and some of them are even different depending on the race you play. I don't see that happening. Way too much work.

I agree, I'm not sure if it's particularly worth their effort - especially when so many things clip regardless (look at the WHM af1 hood for example interfering with every single cane). I'd rather they just continue to work on adding new glamours/releasing old glamours like this dress than worrying about things we've learnt to accept. (Hairstyles are a LOT worse than glamours/mounts)

It's a cute dress, clipping or not. I mean clipping is an issue with most dresses. I wouldn't want them to not add it just because of the clipping issue.

Absolutely! Any dress/robe nowadays clips with hair that isn't short -- let alone on a mount!

But alas... another patch, no news on this dress :(

It's a low quality dress in terms of "bones" design. They need to find a way to add more "bones" to the dress so that when you sit the dress doesn't clip your face.

The dress is nice and all—but I really just want those cute shoes that come with it.

Maybe after we get Hilda's, Yugiri's, Hiens, Ysayles, Rynes, Gaia's, Zenos', Emet Selchs hairstyles- or whenever Viera & hrothgar get their final updates & can wear most hats.
The dress looks like a fancy table cloth & probably clips like mad--- I don't mind clipping, I have enough brain cells to adjust my glams or character in any way to avoid the clipping, but because of people complaining so much about clipping, we will only ever get more short hairstyles & metro-male outfits.

There are soooo many things in game that are not from the Mogstation that clips if you do certain movements. I hope they bring this, I have the red Korean dress and I love it. I don’t care if it clips, it is just beautiful!!! PLEASE bring it!

I agree with this so much, and as I've explained earlier in this thread -- the clipping is only on certain poses, and it's hard to argue the clipping is the main issue when literally SO many hairstyles clip with everything nowadays (I posted a collection of images on page 3 of things in the game that clip awfully). All BLM and WHM weapons pretty much poke through hats too.

I really just wish we could get a yes or a no from someone in Square and a reason as to why.
