Sure why not? if one race gets it then i don't see why the others can't. I've been hoping the next expansion may bring us existing character updates instead of new ones.

I play Miqo'te, they're the next best thing. I also love Au'ra, they're adorable but i like the cat ears a bit more. But i'd like to play just a normal human.. its just the run that puts me off really, and it really bugs me.. nothing i can do about it.

That's true, it is cute.. but there's a limit for me.. also, that's weird, I've always thought the au'ra run was pretty fluid.

This animation has pretty much become the signature of the Midlander female.

It is cute but it also doesn't appeal to allot of people as well, me included after a while.. though, if they do change it, it will most likely be an optional change like change pose.

Well.. yes they're cute.. it's hard to explain really, preference i guess. When i run, i run in a jogging motion which is natural to me.. when i see someone run like that i just think "de hek dey doin?"

I don't see this happening. While I do personally dislike it, that change may upset people that DO like the current animation so I'd feel selfish asking for it to be changed.

Adding in alternate animations for character models, I don't see why female midlanders should be singled out to get more options. Maybe if it were part of a larger set of optional animations but I really don't see the dev team putting the effort into that instead of new npc/enemy/player emote animations they could be doing instead.

Maybe, maybe not. time will tell. if we do get it i doubt only one race will get changes. with the change pose already a thing it's more than likely that if they do, it would be an option.

You're right, there are some cut-scenes with pre determined animations.. But yeah that's a great idea. adjusted running animations for all the races to use would be pretty good. Miqo'te do have the running animation in my opinion.

Princess run was the reason why I ended up playing a miqo'te even though I usually play the most human looking race...

I think criticism towards the general display of feebleness is why female highlanders came out the way that they did, not being added until 2.0. They are the same race, yet they are everything the midlander is not. Middies are meek and scrawny, highlanders are tough and rugged. Middies are cutesy and can pull off goofy looks, highlanders are handsome and carry their armour like a hero. Middies run like incompetent anime schoolgirls dropped into a fantasy epic, highlanders strut like seasoned warriors.

For the time being, you are on two extremes, and you have to choose. Maybe, some day, they will migrate the /changepose options to some kind of new UI where we can customize the personality of our character, and include some new areas like how we run or how we mount.

nah it's pretty stiff... hey you're on my data center. I can visit you and show you how stiff it is. The most fluid run I've seen is Miqo'tes. They even have a cute little head bounce when they run. But yeah, au ra run is really stiff to me. Literally like there's a stick up my ass T.T

I used to hate the run in Version one and always avoided it. Then I got tired of all the same clones running round and decided to be a Midlander.

They are much better with the 2b bottoms makes them look better shape wise and not flat.

I really love my Hyur girl, she is curvy and pretty and nicer than most races in my opinion.

I tend to try ignore the run I find it a trade off as with every race there is something I dislike.

Au Ra run is not great as they tend to stoop like they have a bad back.

But everyone likes what they like and it is true we should be able to choose would be nice, if I could switch to a better run then I would, but I love my Midlander.

I haven't read the rest of the thread (yet)but giving all races ability to switch around running animation styles would be nice.

It'd be a good way to adjust one's character to the way they think they would run.

And maybe this function could be added into Emote section of our menu screen and be treated as something similar to Change Pose emote.
