More Short Hairstyles.

I'd love for there to be more hairstyles, too! Of all lengths and varieties too, not only the spikey and floofy hairs!

NPCs get better hairstyles & people want to vote for a hairstyle for Manager/emo memes

We could have a nice long hairstyle that has bangs or pretty up-do's or have more people riot for NPC exclusive hair but no, they'd rather cosplay as someone who wants to speak to a manager.

Looks like a Karen hairstyle for sure haha...

Yes please, I'm so exhausted of seeing long and/or medium hairstyles being requested when short contemporary hairstyles practically don't exist in XIV, there's maybe three since ARR.

This is actually why the dev's don't let us vote anymore believe it or not.
The hairstyle Vote was such an outcry because people voted for who had the best art basically instead of who actually had a good hairstyle. So now the devs decide who wins because people will most likely pick who has the best art again.

I don't even have a reaction at this point for the types of hairstyles we've been getting over the years anymore... It's just pathetic really.

I mean, it's nice, but it's really just something I'd wear for two seconds and then either forget or cringe at it as I scroll on my alt through the sea of generic hairstyles we've gotten over the years.

It looks like Ravel keeper's gear (the armbands certainly are) but the exact design isn't familiar. Something to do with the Qitari tribe maybe? Are we due for new gathering gear? Or it could be the crafted glamour.

I don't mind that they have so many short hair options, gives everyone who likes them more to choose from. I however am not one of those people.

I do wish they would add more curly hair options and not just the one fro. I play a Hyur for a reason but I am left with very few options.

Give me curls and waves please. Long in and out of a ponytail without a big dumb bow or barrette. I'm sure I can't be the only one who wants more curls and longer hair choices in general.

I wouldn't mind more short militaristic hairstyles tbh. Things like flattops and crew cuts. For both genders.

IMO the long hairstyles just never feel good to me in this game, but I can understand people wanting more of them.

We should all wear it and start an army of Karens and demand to speak to the manager devs about some long hair too.

Or start Eorzea's first MLM scheme.

I kinda wish there were more styles that were similar to each other, or like alterations of existing ones.

Like I have two hairstyles I flip between, one a "hair up" and another "hair down" sorta feel, because the lengths and cuts are similar enough that they could both be his hair without actually involving a haircut. Thanks for letting me borrow your hair tie and clips, Jandilaine, but the scissors aren't necessary this time.

Agreed. It's partly why I don't change my characters' hairstyles - there's hardly anything that doesn't also change the length, thickness, and also the hairline, which has a huge effect on the apparent shape of the face. Most hairstyles alter the face enough that they don't look like quite the same person, at least to me.

I'd like it if they unlocked a few hairstyles too, from being racially exclusive. I'm sure most of them would work without major alterations. For instance there is the default Hyur hair (Ardbert's) and I'd really like to see how it would look on me, as a lala. Only time will tell. They could actually save some resources by unlocking some hair instead of adding new ones. It's still "new" hair to some of us.

I want longer hair cause the necks on characters in this game are WAY too long, and the heads are stupidly too small.

I liked number 11 in the competition, really pretty nice length and plaits on each side.

We need more longer mid length and braids...I am not sure on this one feels they add way too many short styles.

Not just that, the short styles they add all look very similar. Side part, slightly longer on one side, possibly covering the eye. Only difference is how straight and sleek or spiky they are.

Yeh they are very samey :( I love my cat I wanted to try make a Mithra type and the number 11 hair would have been awesome ^^

Miss those days when we got like 2-4 hairstyles at once, now it's just contest winners every major patch like SE can't you create hair? And these short hairs look so similar and all straight, I want curls!

The "Lexen-tails Hairstyle" and "Great Lengths Hairstyle" were both not from the contest.

Seems that they realize that all the contest winners are short and take it upon themselves to make some long hairs sometimes.

I love short hair but I fully agree with you OP. It would not be a problem if we got more styles per patch and one is always short while another is always long..but its just so many short ones..

I like the new haircut, it looks nice. I just hope it won't be locked behind the new Diadem or what, but you bet it's going to be something like that.

People that want longer hairstyles don't care about the clipping and the people that do care about clipping are free to not use it and they have like 30+ short hairs to pick from. From anime protag to rockstar.
