[Request] Premium Servers!

What if you make a data center just for all the players that want to own more than one house?

No thank you. There is already enough things in this P2P game that may further pull some people into their addiction (yes whales are not always just people with lots of money, they are also people with addiction that are preyed upon by these companies to spent more money).

If you think you are better and deserve a premium server just because you own too much money to spend it on something like that..then no...maybe take that money and give it to Fallout 76 100 $ sub..

But hey if they decide to do something then please restrict use of everything to the server itself. You can only find groups from that one server, you can only access MB on that server..wonder how fast those would suddenly complain that they cant do stuff because maybe most people wont simply just through their money away like that.

Things like this is why we should give comunism a second try. :P

Hmm, the base idea is not bad.
Imagine a server without RMT shouts.
With no bots killing/ farming in lightspeed.
No corrupted server prices.

I would pay a server transfer to join a server like that.

People can already transfer to a server with available houses but maybe the extra price would encourage those who tie their worth to how much they spend.

Like a gated community, it would also come with the equivalent of an HOA. A bunch of self-appointed players who would create all kinds of stupid rules dictating what mounts you can use, gear you're allowed to wear, what you can have in the yard of your house and so on..

I approve of this but only if I get a title that says Whale Of Darkness and the icon is a bunch of green stacks.

This could be great. Just make sure to make it so they can only play on those servers and you'll have my support.

We already have premium servers. Its called a monthly sub. And lets not pretend that such a server wouldn't come with additional perks, that most players would want. Thus leading them to buy into the premium server and reducing its exclusivity. Then premium servers become normal servers that you just have to pay more for. No Thanks.

Nah... I'm sure you would still get gil farming and market board bots regardless.

I suspect a major expansion to data centers, but unfortunately not anytime soon. Im sure they would love do so asap with the sudden boom, but covid not to mention a lots of major hardware shortages will delay most major improvements. Unlike a lot if western regions, the Japanese gov kinda focused too much on the Olympics so barely anything was done to speed up vaccination roll outs and improve medical, sooo yeah... going to need to hold on for long while before we see the big change FFXIV truely needs.

This guy must have maxed out his fishing job. XD

it's just...crazy and contrary to FFXIV philosophy that is all about friendship and contact.

We've opened the "Whale", "Pigeon", "The Kardashians", "2Hot2Famous", "VIP Elite Business Masterclass", "The 1%" and "Who's gonna carry now?" servers.

Obviously, this idea is DOA. We spent months chafing under Legacy Exclusive servers trying to open them up. I severely doubt they'll permit any exclusivity now. They're headed in the opposite direction here.

I tend to post in between doing various in-game activities such as PvP, crafting/gathering and achievement hunting. This is indeed an older thread that was given a nudge, though.

Some of my suggestions carry more weight and enthusiasm behind them than others, I suppose.

Though when one finds that even constructive threads are neither acknowledged or apparently sent to the development team, one does grow prone to bouts of playfulness.

Supply the semiconductors then.
