Thanks for posting. The rewards seem great to me, i guess people will complain just to complain

Just because you're not raiding, that does not give you an excuse not to use Grade 8 materia. That's like not upgrading from ilvl 440 gear to 450 gear because "It's not needed" - If you're not using grade 8 materia you're purposefully gimping yourself. Any extra you dont need can be sold for gil.
You already get exp, story, and something to do as a baseline in beast tribes, and as you rank up you're going to get a mount (for FREE mind you, unlike old beast tribe mounts where you needed to buy them for 200k gil each), emotes, minions, crafting matts, orchestrion rolls and furniture. I think as far as mostly braindead 3 quests a day go the rewards are rather generous. Like really what else do you want? Raid level weapons? come on.
Add on that you can also sell the VII/VIII materia for a pretty good amount. Myself I sold a stack of 70 VIII battle materia on the MBand got about 700K off of it. Stuff I was never going to use for my main raiding job and I can always get more.
I don't raid and rarely hunt (I'll jump in a passing hunt train if they're recruiting, but I don't watch the PF looking for one and haven't joined any linkshells). I have half a bag full of grade 7 and 8 materia, after gemming most of my gear, even for jobs I rarely ever play. This expansion drowns you in materia.
I'm personally content with the rewards myself. Tiny bit bummed this round doesn't seem to come with a dance/emote, but I'll live :p
I'd rather sit on any excess tokens so I'll have them to spend on potential Allied rewards in the far future than spend a single one on materia.
But I'll probably end up spending them all on macarons anyway.
I wish more of the assets were available as furniture.
