Moogle tomes are back but why not add to the higher lvl 24 mans?

It's just feedback.

They've provided an event, they obviously want us to play it, if we find it unenjoyable we'll post our opinions. In the same way your opinion that it's fine and you like it is valuable to them, they can get an overall assessment of what we enjoy or not for future content.

On a side note I did make a thread almost six months ago asking for Aquapolis songs to be earned through newer content means. http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...content-means.

I cannot help but wonder if the overall frontlines experience is going to enhanced or hindered by the increased interest this event is going to generate.

They ought to have had higher tomestone rewards for the winners to encourage people to actually try, though.

yeah this happen with SB when it was real good EXP
then after the nerf que just died

I dont see it helping Hidden gorge que though

If they keep doing these mogtome events I hope they add the cloud mount and the Whisper-go mounts in the future. Best way for new players to get those mounts they couldn't get for starting late.

The Whisper-Go mounts might be problematic, since they're based on another company's property. Would depend on how the licensing for the Yokai Watch event works.

I'll be the first one to give you thanks for that. The 3 songs from the Aquapolis in the MB are hilariously expensive on the Primal servers, that I'm grateful that the Moogle tome event will give me a much cheaper alternative to earn, use, and listen to all 3 of them.

yeah...just subbing to the game is just as demanding as being a top ranking feaster.

I will say I do like that they will encourage the PVP traffic in order to make those trying to finish Garo Event a little better off.

But yes, perhaps the level 70 ones should have been worth a load of them, and the 60 a half load, and the 50 a lot less. This would have gotten the servers ready to handle the increased mechanics of the Yorha Raid that's one the way.

Well if they want ques for other raids to be better just need a gift of the Archmagus quest for them

Similar rewards as proto ultima quest
Good accessory and some glamor option

I don't think people will run ivalice unless its like 20 but then thats not really fair on newer players who are not in hw or Sb yet

I think they should add any mount or pet that you cant get ingame anymore. This way people still need to run content ingame to earn them and people still had enough time to be special with their mounts. I mean the Falcon was something you earned by giving them money. So if they can bring back that thing, then I see no reason to leave the PVP mounts exclusive..

In both cases its a mount that people wont be able to get anymore. And if that one reward that was giving as a thank you for subbing at that time can be given away for such a low amount of tomes then PVP ones should be too.

Just remember don't get any tomes if you run it unsynced the duty. I just queue each day for main story roulette to get the dog earrings and then be done with it. If you queue as a healer it be instant queues which save lots of time.

Pretty much what I'll be doing just run in praetorium every day for like 4 times for all The Tomes that I need for what I want.

The last one unsynced was a way to get good rewards in good time, at least they made it require less runs as compensation for that, but still...

Also, notice, no "in progress" so folks are going to be turning that off until it's done. No more help once people leave a mission due to that. Going to make it even harder to run unpopular things. Do not try to plan to do anything hard for a month folks, it aint happening.

5.1 is taking way to long...
Why not include nicer new dungeons so people have fun and get something nice like Orbonne?
When I get it now people leave immediatly because they only want the 50 alliances now...
Or like hey ShB dungeons where you actually have most of your skills.

Agreed. This whole thing is so out of touch that it's baffling. The absolute LAST thing we need is more reason for people to exploit the roulette to get Crystal Tower. That already happens 95% of the time. They should do this the other way around and only put them on the 70 raids, with more of them on the higher tier ones.

If I have to do Labyrinth 7 days in a row again I'm going to fall asleep halfway through.

I'm more grateful those three songs are picked because they represent 1.0 as a whole for each of three areas. Twilight Over Thanalan specifically is just an amazing song and I'm glad we're allowing more people to get access to it. SE has been making more strides to include his 1.0 music through Eureka, Holiday Events, and MSQ cutscenes and it's really nice to see.

The market for these 3 rolls will drop a bit since everyone can grab them but once the event ends they'll go back to their normal prices so it's no harm no foul.

Here's hoping we can get Breaking Boundaries (The Job Quest battle song), Unspoken (1.0 Coerthas them), and Calamity Unbound (Coils boss theme).

Maybe japan does not have this problem where people lower their item level, they propably do not rage quit either.

Oh, joy. This will pretty much kill of the last 10% chance of getting something besides Snore of the Ancients and Bore Tower

I prefer the quicker runs of the lvl 50 raids but don't mind doing orbonne to get more practice in with mechs for thunder god.

I'm just tired of it being nothing but those two. Even Void Ark is a welcome relief now despite it being pretty dull.

Personally, they could make every 24man, 8man and 4man give tomes and i still wouldn't join in on the event at this point. I played FAR too much the first time around to get rewards because i thought it was (and they gave no inclination that it wouldn't be) the only chance i had to get those items.
If they gave even the slightest hint to me that i'd have a second chance to earn more moogle tomes, i would have paced myself and took the chance i could get some items on the return event.

I'm pretty happy about the rewards in PVP. I got into PVP with the announcement of GARO ending and srsly it's pretty fun. Every match is a different game so it never really gets boring. So now i get to enjoy PVP AND get some tomes :D just today I farmed 25 from 5 frontline matches in 1.5 hrs of fun, didn't feel like a chore at all.

Well, that's the thing, isn't it? What they had the last time around was not fun. It was hours upon hours of Syrcus tower (As nothing gave more than 3 tomes before and it was the best bang for your buck in terms of tome gathering) to the point where i forced myself to keep doing it in the time i had to play because it was a limited time event with no hint that it would return; so i got rarer things that i didn't have out of the assumption that i wouldn't have a chance like that to get it again.
Then this event comes around again (not two months later) and shows me the only thing that i should have been concerned about not being able to get again was the Namazu earring.

The only thing I find strange about this is they need to use a different kind of tome from last time. Just have the same tomes, keep it going, let people who need them collect some older rewards. And yeah, when most content gives you 3, 100 tomes for an item is a stretch.

They are likely cycling the rewards. The change is to prevent stockpiling. Next time they will be Irregular Tomestones of Soldiery with a different Earring, Whistles and Materials. Last month of each patch from now on will likely have an Irregular Tomestone phase from now on.

I'm gonna use it as a combo to level some classes and get the old rep reward mounts from arr reps since i joined after arr so have not got them done, plus i need one of the 3 hw mounts and two trial mounts.
Main scenario roulette: 7-10 tomes
Alliance roulette: 3 tomes

So that gives me 10-13 tomes a day depending on which main scenario i get, since i have the non rep mounts currently up that means i need 250 tomes total. Doing it this way will get me the rep and trial mounts in 20-25 days.

On top of that the exp again depending on which main pops will be an average of 2/3 to 1 levels worth of exp per day, so i can level up 2-3 classes assuming it runs for a month in synched 50 content allowing me to use the i400 gear all the way so no gear upgrades needed. Since ast is the only healer i got left and dancer the only ranged dps, i can do those two while earning the tomes then chuck two sets of 70 gear away since i already have 80 sets for both class types.

I cannot stand the idea of hard grinding for the tomes, but leveling some classes while earning tomes for mounts for about an hour a day will work fine.

Got 101 tomes today. Castrum farm party gave me 35 in 2.5 hrs. Frontlines got me 50 in 2 hrs (inc queue time) they both seem most efficient way this turn

oh god roulettes will be fun with the trolls, assholes and speedrunners trying to farm these tomes

thank god Destiny 2 shadowkeep comes out tomorrow, i can avoid roulette like the plague by playing that.

I'm just gonna collect them as I do my regular daily roulettes and see what I can get at the end. The only things that interest me are the two birds, and if I really wanted them that badly, I would've started farming the fights for them by now.

I recreated my main and she doesn't even have prae unlocked...so I'm guessing pvp it is...this will be a struggle but at least I can work towards 2 mounts at once the birds and the 20,000 wolf mark one...

pvp is def the way to go (if you don't want the same mind numbing thing over and over) At least with pvp each encounter is different. (meaning that they are never 100% the same) different contact/battle situations or if im in a sneaky mood I can ninja around. Either way you get more tomes for a little less time in the end. ( I was getting 5min que's up until about an hour ago so.

Kinda disapointed the crystal tower raids are the ones giving rewards. As if people need yet another excuse to cheese their ilv to force it to pick those in roulette. They should of added Ivalice to the list since the queues for that are routinely 30m-1hr.
