Are you upset because it's something that could be implemented that wouldn't help you because you choose not to use it?

That interview talked about joint crafting a cake, and yes, it was mentioned that group crafting was something they wanted to pursue. But that response did not tell us that joint crafting would be part of player-run companies. I do not see any reason to believe that the joint crafting would be part of anything other than the Grand Companies, or possibly some other type of quest. Ever since the very first Letter from the Producer, the planned changes in the "Companies" section has only been regarding public companies, now renamed Grand Companies.
Of course, the last producer's letter said:
Maybe we'll get some mention of player run companies when that happens, but honestly, I don't think linkshell-type companies are planned for this game at all anymore.Quote:
In my next letter, I’ll be sure to update the list of game changes. (Sorry it’s been so long...)
And that's why we need linkshell banks. ;)
In that interview, no, they didn't specifically mention companies. But the original presentation back in mid-September where groups crafting cakes were shown alongside cannons, boats, etc. as well as showing off company housing were examples of what players could expect of player-run companies. Of course, this was September, so I'm sure things have changed...but it's the closest we've gotten to any substantial information.
If we took that attitude the game would be in the same state it was in September.
Don't like guildleves? Don't use them?
Don't like SPing? Don't do it.
Don't like the craft system? Don't do it.
Don't like gathering? Don't do it.
Don't like the user interface? Don't play.
Don't like the market wards? Don't use them.
Don't like the battle system? Don't fight anything.
etc.
Thankfully we have people here who oppose certain decisions by SE so that the game isn't completely dead yet.
LS / Company guild bank , im for it.
With options to set how much/many items a member can take out daily etc.
Unlock / Lock gil loan. (for repairs maybe etc)
Bank tabs, to sort & rearrange items. (hellz ya just steal WoWs idea, no one will care anyway. Not like they got copyright on storage & banking anyway)
im up for it as long as it can be controlled on a member level, dont want a new person to join grab everything and leave.
I could careless for a bank feature
but delivery box is a must
LS does need a bank feature, something where sacks can control things complete with a member log to see who deposited and withdrew what. Members should be able to deposit but only sacks should be able to withdraw.
I think a centralized ls bank could work for mass crafting mats with a feature that allows ls crafters to request mats with a predetermined price point. then those who have the mats but do not need them could deposit directly to that person's retainer. Very similar to the existing retainer system when one is looking for mats but at a heavily discounted ls price.
Example: ls member needs ice crystals for his leathercraft, submits a request for 500 crystals to the ls bank at a predetermined price of 50 per crystal. I, as an alchemist, check the ls bank request and deposit 500 crystals, and receive 25000 gil (minus any bank charges) for my trouble. The crafter is happy to spend minimum gil to rank up his craft and I am happy to help a fellow crafter, even when we cannot be on at the same time due to time differences.
Bumping due to lack of Dev Update
Bumping because I seriously need a way of distributing materials to my linkshell which is simple and no fuss involved.
LINKSHELL BANK, PLEASE!!
I am desperate for this feature to be added.
I am currently holding a few hundred million gil (our linkshell bank)
and I would prefer it was stored where it was:
1: Viewable by officers
2: Tracked, so that I don't have to make excel sheets
3: Safe, in case I get hacked
and so on...
LS banks?
/vote yes.
i'd like to see something like a bank, where we can all put stuff but also have some bank pages that are loner items. like anyone can store there gears even a best weapon in game +3 and if anyone uses it and it auto returns it back to the bank after a specific amount of time.only one that can take it out permanently is person that put it there, if need make space leaders can remove it but it just goes straight to players again. think this can be fun way to store stuff lol.
i don't really believe in ls banks, though they can be needed. i think they need new systems in place that do them automatically for us. like in warhammer it collected taxes from all players and i tcan be spent where it was needed only. was no way of spending it on anything else. like chosing to pay for the next dynamisis by a system where it took the coins droped in a run for the next run or something as a choice. or again a auto tax of those coints droped in the event to pay for it, but those specific coins were not usable for anything else. something like that.
other then that yeah i'd say no thanks to any leaders or small groups taking and hording gear, mats and gils for the "linkshell" i've seen 100's of millions get stolen from leaders running high and dry, and trust me rest of leaders acting like it was just one of them don't work, even though it's like the dkp dangles in your face like a knife like what you gonna do about it.
putting people you trust in acess to it when they need items that is all limit what they ca grab... point in case is this... eve online had a guild bank.. there needs to be mog house, ls housing, community housing too. mods you need to look at this and push it to yoshi p. certain takanaka would have added this if he had the chance.
