We were in an instance/dungeon when this happened btw. On discord he did not receive any notification only went straight to jail. Oh and he told me that this was more than just one offense but no details what the offenses were.
I love FF games in general and have been a huge fan since black screen "DOS" most of you probably never heard of. Im totally hooked on this game since I came back from beta and started back up last August.
My whole point of the thread is how can you justify and distinguish what is worthy of temp ban or perma ban. Seems to be Squenix is beyond implementing anything that could be just and fair because of over sensitivity and taking comments out of context.
My FC leader is not a jerk imo but others may think different I get that. Personalities are gonna clash on all MMO's within groups. This banning thing is bugging me and almost convinced to stop playing. -

Little Edit: At least to me its pretty clear that repeated offenses - which seems to be the case for your FC-leader? - are pretty good grounds for more severe or even perma bans. You got your warning, you continued with your behaviour so apparently the warning wasnt enough. -

In short, as ruled by the supreme court, Amendment constraints do not apply to private platforms. FFXIV is a private platform they own and control, thus anything you request in a legal matter is null and void. -

I wouldn't stop playing though. Like others have said, as long as you maintain respect for other gamers and keep controversial subject matter to private channels, then you will probably never have to worry about any type of bans. -

If your FC leader was pulled in game from an instance to the jail he violated ToS and SE will disclose what was violated and what the circumstances are. What they wont and will not do is explain why it is a violation. Its not a GMs job to hand hold at that point.
This is how SE opperates. Your FC leader will recieve an email with further information if its a ban, a means of appeal, and other information.
To avoid bans be decent. And dont violate the ToS.
