first I like to see the barrack folk get job training for example one could have scholar over a summoner in barrack. I like to see the barrack folks have ability to access a paladin instead gladitors

I would like see as I said dragonling which would have trust or friendship system the more you fight along side them the more you gain they trust by this you improve their skills similar of chocobo system but it be basic on earn they trust and exp aswell the grown stronger basic on exp they would start at lvl 1 and you have work them up to lvl 80

i suggest taken the exsist system and expand on it with dragonling. they come pre-generate name that was basic on they people language and you work on gain they trust and fight at they side and help them level up 1-80 as they level they would get stronger and could do more combat moves. as they get able to trust you more you gain quests where you learn more about them and they family and gain more exp with them.

a Cactuar or a Moogle. If i could have anything, a Quacho Queen.

I'd definitely run around with a Moogle. A battle cabbage would be cute aswell. I wouldn't even care if all of them had the same skills just with different names more appropriate for their race.

Also, Fat Cat. Player gets the skill "Squish thy enemy!" to throw the fat cat on the enemies. Major aoe damage from the impact of this obscenely overweight blob hitting them. You just have to pick it up before being able to throw it again because it's obviously to lazy to roll back to you.
And maybe mini Midgardsomr aswell? I mean, we have him as amount and a minion, having him as a compaion aswell would be cool. And we get our own private little dragon to fight with us.

Namazus are already carrying me (through the air) on a palanquin, so they could use swarm tactics on the battlefield too. Wasshoi!

iu still thing dragonling would be awesome it be great the introduce the little guy at same time they introduce the rebuilding of Ishgarde so the combat jobs have something they work on too

it be dragonling companion with a trust building quest system
the more you fight at his side the more you gain his trust and expand his skill he also take on different roles

if you are tank he could be a healer or dps

the more you gain his trust the more combat option could expand with him

If I had to pick from other mounts, gimme my Cavalry Drake. It already has full combat animations from all the enemy mobs that share the model.

the drake would make great beastmaster pet

I want to take squadron members into the overworld, similar to how WoW had a few garrison NPCs (which are what squadrons are essentially) designated as bodyguards which would follow you around.

Whatever it's shape is, I just want a companion that actually defends me in defender stance. I can be standing there with some monster trying to beat me to death, and my trusty defender companion just stands next to me and watches.

It needs to get involved the second the monster comes after me, not just after I've hit it, when all I want to do is run away because I know it will probably one shot me if I stick around.

dragonling at first and if need be others if the system would advance the companion system to be more interest such a companion friendship or trust system where you build up friendship with your companion. the goal with such system how far you can advance them and how much fun they can give to your players. dragonling with quests to gain more friendship and trust every time you a level of trust or friendship

through I would like see jobs such as beastmaster if it will become limit or blue mage have access to the Squardon dungeons this will easy up the struggle to level it and make easyer for limit jobs.

I'd take a mithra adventuring fellow in a heartbeat if SE offered.

I would legit ask to take my retainers.

Otherwise would be an absolute treat to go around killing things with Sadu Dotharl

A companion other than my chocobo... tough choice... first choice would be my combat retainer cause he's handsome and flirts with me, second choice would be Thancred because he's kinda sexy even if he does prefer the ladies (/sadface), and finally the Crystal Exarch because he's precious. >_>

Honestly, I'd have preferred that mounts had been limited to just those that are companionable, but of course also that that selection was greatly expanded -- Chocobo, Bear, Lion, Coeurl, Falcon, Amaro, etc. Up their value to about 40% of your own, but split EXP gains 70/30 or so as not to make them even more obligatory. Jump off mount, fight together, then get back on its back and go.

Though I'd also have greatly enjoyed being able to recruit NPCs from the open world's stories into my Squadron and take 1-2 Squadron mates with me wherever I like, assuming their AI could be improved (and the at least dozens of man hours necessary to make them feel decently responsive to situations in their dialogue). EXP splitting applies again.

I'd pick Iroha for sure. She had a great story both in 11 and 14. Y'Shtola would be nice too though. She's my favorite Scion.

I like this idea. I want to be able to have my retainer as a companion.

I think I'd like a Garnet Carbuncle or something similar to be a mount version of summoner's Ruby Carbuncle. That way we complete our trio of mounts and have a pet we can actually train!

Realistically speaking, members of your squadron. Or NPC's assigned to you from your grand company. I was actually really hoping we'd get something like that with Shadowbringer to give us an alternative to the birds but...no dice.
