This is actually a quite interesting topic - I'm Japanese and am around 5'2, the actual average for Japanese women. Japanese men are, on average, 5'7 or so. I think that many Asians are smaller in stature and such, but myself and most of my friends actually admire taller people, like Americans and Europeans who can be so tall that they look like models. Taller people in Japan aren't thought to be unfeminine, but, at least in my experience, to be more 'model' like. When almost everyone around you is 4'10 - 5'6 or so as a woman, and the men not all that tall, seeing or having tall friends is actually a lil exotic. Maybe it is just a difference in culture if some people find taller women unfeminine?

For the record, I'm a 5'10" American Black man so I'm pretty much shorter than normal (At least that's what media presents anyway) and I'm taller than my dad. I'm someone who's into both tall and short women and think that both can be feminine if not in their own way.
I'm interested in rolling a Viera when the expansion comes out (On an alt. Never switching out my catgirl again), though I'm still working on the face. Could they have added an option to make the Viera smaller? Sure. Just like they could've made both the Mi'qote and Au Ra girls taller (That was my one main disappointment when HW came out). Hell, the reason why I don't tend to stick with Femroes and Thighlanders is that I don't really care for the run animations and the Elezen it's the noodle-like proportions, but other than that, they have at least some appeal to me.
Where I'm getting at? What's the purpose of this post/rant? Dunno... Maybe it's just me trying to post more often and get out of my shell a bit. Maybe I just wanted to share my view on the topic at hand. Eh, it'll probably not mean much, but just felt that I had to speak my mind. -
