And I am not ok with someone attempting to sexualize something cute and innocent. One of us has a real issue, but it is not me.
Gotta love when someone doesn't make the difference between a game and reality.
Next time : those fights are making people violent, let's stop this !
Don't bring irl madness into a game ty~
Everyone looks at them as characters in game.
Not sure if the player who brought this topic did it because there was a previous discussion where players asked to match male Viera appearance on age with the adult female Viera appearance based on Fran design because the lore state they multiply, but if that was the cause there isn't even the need here because Miqo-te are really similar in fact so similar that when see male Miqo-te in dress can't distinguish character gender.
Oh thank god the OP isn't from Balmung. I was gonna have to pull my server aside and have as talking to about embarassing us. Continue on.
The game does sexualize Miqo'te and a few others sometimes, and players seem to like it.
But they are presented as of age, and up to acceptable standards in Eorzea.
Clear Troll after this.
Someone should also report this person and thread. Talking about sexualizing underage characters and stuff probably doesn't belong in these forums.
He's clearly trolling so lets not keep feeding him, let him look for the discarded scraps under the table in a public park instead.
Ok, first, you dont know what the hell youre talking about when it comes to demographics. Like for reals. What you have is a lack of data and a bunch of assumptions to fill that missing data that you then use to make sure you end up at the conclusion you want. So there's that.
Second, one of youre insinuations is that just because a female is short, she is a child when compared to a taller male. Way to slam women broadly, double so for women who are short and like to date tall men. Like really, youre quite literally saying if there is a substantial height difference between men and women, its wrong. What a load of crackers. Oh, and then there's the backhand comment that if a tall guy dates a short girl, hes secretly a deviant. That's nice, isnt it. Oh and way to dismiss peoples thoughts based on their character avatar, which is convenient cause any female avatar can be dismissed as being a dude in your eyes. So youre either assuming no women play this game, or using the argument that if your a man, that opinion is invalid. Good job.
Not sure if youre just a troll, or a person whos been so sheltered you think that anything outside your narrow scope of acceptability is somehow some deviant behavior. How about this: You dont like things like this in the game, dont play it. Best way to demonstrate you dont approve of design decisions is to stop paying for them. For the rest of the player base, theyll play characters they like, for whatever reason they want ,and that should be no ones business so long as everything is above board. Like seriously, I dont understand why people make it there business what other people do in a fantasy game as long as its legal. And if its illegal, then that is an SE issue that they need to address, not the player base. It is broadly not the responsibility of the player base to police the morality of our fellow players, unless we notice clearly illegal activity taking place. All this thread and the OP comes across as is weird moralizing and being a busybody while, honestly, adding a context to character models that isnt there.
Why would you make a morals argument on a race that might not have the same morals as you do?
Been my experience that the more somebody calls out somebody else for moral issues, the more skeletons they themselves have to hide.
By the way, you need to work harder on your bait - it's rather stale.
Oh boy.
*grabs popcorn
Not sure if Im misunderstanding you or your misunderstanding me. My criticism is pretty straight foward: The OP is dismissing opinions of female avatars because they are assuming theyre likely men. This position requires you either assume that there are no women who play female characters (which is super dumb assumption) and/or that men's opinions on the matter dont matter cause theyre men. In either case, its pretty stupid.
Pretty much it shouldnt matter what the player avatar is, or even the sex of the player behind the avatar, but only the thoughts they put forward.
nah. do i think it would be cool to alter them this way for the next ff mmo? hell yeah.
Aww man, r/ShitpostFFXIV leaked again.
The only thing that should be "aged up" is that weird boyish elezen face that makes the head way too small for his body.
Other than that, I seem to be age blind, as Miqo'te and Au Ra don't look any younger to me compared to other races.
You sure know how to rile up everyone with your threads..
The only thing that needs to be aged up is the OP.
For what it's worth, I do wish that there were options to make older-looking characters in this game. Back when I was first making my Retainers, I decided to make one of them look like an older, retired version of my Final Fantasy XI character (a Mithra). The best I could manage, really, was to put white streaks in her hair...
Well thanks to the OP and this useless thread am going to go back to WoW just to something shire to rainbow puke some ERP webs a bit more and release a few more complains.
