5006 error

Yeah, I can't find a response from SE any where. Not like them to let this go this long and no response as to what the prob might be.

I am getting the same thing trying to get into Brynhildr

Yep, this is happening to me too. Primal data center, Lamia server. Can connect to EU and Japan, just not NA data center.

Yeah I saw a thread from about 5am my time so it's been all day. Weird that they haven't said anything about it.

Theory time! They just banned over 4000 accounts for RMT, revenge dos? If you're shady enough to buy and sell in game gil for irl cash, at least some of them are shady enough to run a script.

Same as OP, been trying for the past half hour... can't switch data centers, can't log in on a character at all. Really annoying to keep trying since it closes the client all the way

I was getting the same error on Exodus, now it's error 6001.

On the Aether data center, Goblin server here. Same for me and my husband, can't connect either. :\

Ggrrrr right? Is it so hard to just kick it back to the title screen?

On levi and been getting the error all day

I am guessing it is only intermittent and not impacting everyone. Game was running smooth for me earlier. I only ran into this issue after I changed my characters appearance and then got this error.

Far be it for SE to admit there's an issue. Prolly PS3 limitations or summat causin the ruckus *rolleyes*

Logged out to see if error happens and it does. On a PS4 myself so it's not just PC getting the error. If you are logged in stay logged in.

I get it everytime. I think it's tied to the new psn id change feature, changed it last night and just logged on to this

Leviathan server as part of the Primal Data Center. My husband and I cannot log in either. We tried switching data centers and were able to get to a character screen before it kicked us both right back out.

We are currently unable to log in at all...:confused:

Aether Data Center, Cactuar server. I tried to get into Primal as well, since I have an alt there. I'm having the same problem too - I've tried at least 20 times to log in on PC and PS4 versions, and have only gotten to the character screen ONCE. I hit connect, got thrown into a log-in queue and then error'd out.

Looks like this has been going on all day... C'mon Square, fix the Data Centers!

Same here, Coeurl. My roommate has been in all day but I just got home from work and can't log in.

I am also getting this error along with many of my FC friends.

I got in after about 20 tries...oof (Aether)

My husband and I can login now on Jenova.

Same for me but on Diabolos…. also getting error code 6001

Still getting the error when trying to log onto Aether and Mateus, have been getting it for not quite an hour now.

I'm still getting 5006

Same here with error 5006. Behemoth server on the Primal Data Center. I was able to log in long enough to get matched for a roulette before I lagged out, and have not been able to get back in.

Also posting to confirm that I am getting the same 5006 error. Behemoth server. Have tried 7-8 times. One time I managed to get in but while on the character select screen I then got the error anyway.

Issue is happening on Lamia, have been trying to login for about an hour.

Getting error 5006, even switching data centers and flushing DNS, Midgardsormr here

I'm from Aether datacenter, Mateus server. Can confirm I am also unable to connect with lobby error 5006.

usually the switching servers and back works, oh well there goes my day.

So SE are we going to get some sort of response or update on this because its pretty widespread apparently.

Getting a 5006 on Excalibur :(. Was hoping to get some leveling in. Hope it comes back up soon.

Same here trying to get on Brynhildr. If I switch to any other data center and try to get back to primal I get a "6001" error instead (same text, tho).
