Are you? None of the other jobs resemble their XI counterpart so why would they? Not to mention they are ranged DPS, not a healer. They won't heal unless it's themselves through something like Second Wind.

It's not just today unfortunately. I hate to make generalizations but when you actually look, so many of the people that are "outraged" (which really, with the shit going on in this world using that word for something like this is just insanity in itself) don't play or play very little.

I'd be happier if they weren't gender-locked and we had a new healer but really, being upset and outraged to the point some of these players are really baffles me. We all cope differently but come on.

Careful counting BLU as a DPS. That's gonna really bite you if the next healer is limited.

And another thing: what good will it do if you start whining about and don't provide an actual deconstruction of the situation of the classes and the holy trinity?

Do we need more healers ? Hell yes, but i rather have diversity in the action itself than provide a copy with a slight derivation . But that's just me and it's funny to sad that i see people getting offended and aggressive for nothing . Nothing is set in nails at this moment, they like to tease and provide information during the whole thing, not provide all information in 1 hour, otherwise there is no point in a fanfest that is 2 days long.
As for the 4th tank i'm really curious how it will stand out between the existing 3 .

Like i said i have all the 3 healer jobs leveled and ilvl 385 atm and now i'm enjoying wipemage more than astro. Been playing astro for the last 1 year and so and switching to white mage did provide another feeling.

Oh it would, if healer's didn't que it would cause the same result, just a less hands on approach.

I'm honestly not that bothered that they decided against shoehorning in another OP healer class that steps all over the feet of the current classes and throws the entire system into imbalance. When they can make a new healer that fits a unique niche and make sure it's balanced against the others from the get-go, then I'll get excited about having a new one.

It's not really hard to understand. To step on other's and act like you're taking the "higher moral ground" really baffles me. If you don't like something about the game or any changes made to it you voice your opinion. I mean after all it's these "Outraged players" that allowed jobs to be tuned and content to be released that we all really enjoy.

+1. We have every right to complain and let Square Enix know that many players are unhappy with theirs decision to skip heal for another expansion. Like people had every rights to complain about blue mage being limited, or many other stuff. This is the official forums of FFXIV. This is where we can and should let developper knows how we feels about what they decide. And we don't need people to look down on us for that. Come on.

Not playing the healer class might send a message, but SE is prepared, hence why the TRUST system is also being added to this game.

At the same time, nothing new for main healer role for 6 years, it's 100% legit to say that we won't heal and switch to another role. After all, we also want new jobs, and it seems we'll have to DPS or Tank for that.

Jokes on you! I already stopped queuing as healer months ago! I've been playing Bard and RDM instead lately, and I am gonna try to lvl up my MRD into a warrior.
(Was starting to get bored of healer after maining it since ARR. New healer would have been nice to break up the monotomy)

Healers stop queing up as healers and go as something else. People will riot in the forums that there are no healers queing anymore, especially the ones that stopped queing up as a healer. :thumbsup:

Is that implying that AST was OP at launch because if remember correctly, the class was underwhelming and was in dire need of buffs and changes during its launch..

Look, I'm disappointed in not getting a healer this expansion (as far as I know), but how does your solution solve this? You do realize that the DPS queue would suffer even more right? Please don't bring nonsensical protest ideas to the table simply because we didn't get what we wanted.

While I am disappointed we aren't getting a healer (or at least nothing announced yet), this is just childish. I don't make a point to hurt people that have *nothing* to do with why I am upset just to make some perceived point.

Don't worry my little blue shields and red swords, I had absolutely no ultimatum in needing a new healer when I already play 2/3 of the current ones and still enjoy them and just change roles whenever I get "bored." Wasn't even invested in DNC needing to be a healer.

I'll still be queuing for whatever I want on heals, same as always (as I'm sure majority of healers will be) and no salty disappointed pouting from a handful of people on these forums will change that.

edit: That said, it probably will be, but I haven't heard them say one way or another.

If not having Dancer a healer means a complete rework of a job (WHM and AST needs this badly) then by all means give us no healer.
However, if they STILL screw up healers after what will be 6 years of no new healer...

Honestly, yes I would. That said, the idea would never work practically.

I'm very disappointed with 5.0 at this point regardless. It will effectively be 6 years until we 'possibly' see the next healer job..... I would love to know the dev rationale on why this is okay.

This sort of attitude really blows my mind. We're all getting the exact same amount of new jobs. You know you're allowed to play them right? Were you born a healer? Are your job change buttons broken, maybe? Pointlessly segregating yourself into some weird healer tribe in a game where you can play every class on a single character is ridiculous.

Either way, too few people even bother to visit the forums for this to have an effect. There will be more healing jobs at some point so just calm down. In fact, if there IS a healing job planned for this expansion that we just haven't heard about yet, you're all going to end up looking reeeeaally stupid.
