I'm not concerned that the letter was a bit light on info, I'd rather he spend the time making sure he hits that release date than composing a detailed letter.

Did the translator set the time to March 9th? Or is that the JP date and we actually get it the 8th?

T.T why must patches alwasy be released on a week where I'll work whole weekend? >.<;

Bit disappointing it took them over 2 days to translate what Yoshi has already said on the forums that has already been translated. Nice to have an exact date but was really hoping on a sneak peak of the dungeons or maybe more info about AF. There was absolutely nothing new in this letter. And lol at the first person to call me a hater, I been white knighting since beta.

/scratches head in confusion.

We just read that we will get 1.21 in a week, jobs, casting changes, new dungeons.

Yet, people are complaining.

So I am assuming Friday then. My time zones may be off, but wouldn't it make that Saturday for Japan if SE goes by traditional patch maintenance/release times?

His letters are always spoken in Japanese time Zone, So when he says the 9th its minus 1 day for US and EU which is the 8th.

clarity would be nice, I need to know whether to take Friday or Monday off work

Others have guessed that the starting NPCs will be in their appropriate guilds. It would make sense.

That doesn't account for the images from the Warrior (based in Marauder whose guild is in Limsa) scene looking like it's in Thanalan (probably the combat tournament Uldahns like so much). Hopefully the Warrior quests will have some time in Limsa at least. The only other combat guilds in Limsa are for Arcanists and Musketeers (both classes that don't really exist yet). Then of course there's the Fishing, Blacksmithing, Armourers and Culinarian guilds but DoL and DoH don't get jobs... Poor lonely Limsa. Some of us are still loyal to the largely overlooked city of pirates!

you know before saying things like that, you should really brush up on Japanese tradition. the JAN letter was nice, for what it was supposed to be. As for this letter, yeah it is a little lacking, but we will get all the info on the day of patch anyway, so why does it matter now -.-

Yay on my birthday. The same day my crysta runs out. Oh well. Guess i'll "try it at 2.0".

Quest might start in Limsa and might have to go to Ul'Dah during the quest. I am sure these quests may require you to travel to different regions.
