Somebody should RP in this thread. That's the only thing that can save it.
COME AND PLAY WITH MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Yay off-topic time!

A dashing roegadyn wearing his fine linen coatee and cap walks into a bar. His dyslexic miqo'te assistant walks into a bra. The roegadyn struts in, with one hand on his hip, the other waving in the air, and his nose tipped to the roof. Strands of his hair dangle in the breeze with each tilt of the hand. He begins to have a conversation with Momodi, assuming her every response.
A highlander male approaches, with no history in the records of the Eorzean professionals, places his weaving needle in his tool belt. He changes clothes in front of all to see in the center of the lobby, donning on a similar coatee, grins a sheepish grin, professes his disdain for the roegadyn, then poses. A spectrum of astral and umbral forces collide with the elements themselves as it screeches through the roof of the lobby, bursting of light to blind all who look upon his being. By the retainer bell, a hyur female experienced in all manner of war, magic, hand, and land watches with her luminary sparkle and claps.

He has arrived and none shall be as fabulous as he. He leaves with a crew in toll, ascending the airship lift. His crew seize one of the Ironworks' airships and set off to spread fabulosity in a realm not unlike our own. Twelvespeed be with you vile brigandier.
OOC translation: Some people were RP'ing in Uldah's inn, Vile Brigandier witnesses it, gives them a piece of his mind, Thevedis watches, and Vile transfers to another server with a handful of people so the locations will be the same, the populace *may* be different.
I put on my robe and wizard hat.
Not to be outdone by Raikki, I put on my bath-robe and began to blow on my bubble-pipe.
You guys are so lame. ^.~
The Lalalfelluminati strike again. Dance Hyru/Miqo'te/Roegdayne/Elezen dance.
.. I've been in Besaid since launch and I've yet to find any TRUE RP's .. And if anything when playing other MMO's RP'ers ended up being the best players cause they want to get the best gear, the most skills, and be the ones with the highest levels. I for one do not "RP" but I do like to have a 'Matching' set of gear and hangout at the same spot while crafting. I think you sir are just trying to talk for/about people that you truly know nothing about.. specially as you aren't even in Besaid to begin with.
The amount of irony is delicious. It feeds me.
On an unrelated note, I think I should make a topic about warning the people in that server that's gonna merge with mine who've excluded me for not having materia'd/ifrit gear.
I cast Magic Missile..... at the darkness...... ^.^ *goes and gets a Mountain Dew*
Whats even the point of this entire thread you've created? You've created drama, clearly have an issue with the people that decide to RP and shown the entire FFXIV community how much of a fool you are. Your kind isn't welcome anyways, don't let the door hit you on the way out.
Much ado about nothing. However people squeeze fun out of this game more power to them, we all choose what to do with our time in game anyhow. Strange that I recognize all of the names from Fabul with the exception of the OP. What about this game is not role-playing to one degree or another, I mean some can be pretty emo about their wardrobe down to the degree to which they either clash or ooze total fabulousness. The thing that actually draws any measure of concern for me personally is the name of our impending married server. Balmung sounds like a really cut rate metal band
I agree with you most of this has no meaning at all.. but do you really think you know every person on Fabul?
Check my profile. "Jadi Kama (Fabul) has attuned with the aetheryte in Camp Bearded Rock. 9/30/2010 10:28 p.m."
Where as you.. "Magnus Triton (Fabul) has attuned with the aetheryte in Camp Bearded Rock.
12/7/2010"
Appears I'm the elder player here, but I'm not arrogant enough to think I know everyone.
just to clear things up ;p
Balmung

This will fit perfectly right after mangus's awesome comment

and i guess in terms of adventurers,
Gennario Veltaine (Fabul) has attuned with the aetheryte in Camp Bentbranch.

i guess i beat both magnus and jadi, but i barely have ever seen either of you! ;p
I would just like to go on record to add to the list of non RPer's on Besaid. This guy sounds like he is definitely "butthurt" for some reason or another. My first LS on Besaid turned out to have a few RP'ers in it, but I was never once laughed at, criticized, or made fun of once for NOT RP'ing nor did I ever do the same to them. The fact of the matter is Besaid has a great community and I have never had a bad experience yet. Everyone I have met has been overly nice if anything else. To the OP - GTFO and get a life, DAMN you be tripping. LOLOLOL
P.s. I approve this thread, dude is hilarious. (^_^)b
My answer is not relevant, because I am going to deflect and attempt to be clever. So ask yourself this philosophical question... If a tree falls in the forest and there is nobody around to hear it, do I like fruit snacks?
Your answer is there and if you can recognize a paradox as a poor attempt at distraction you'll be able to tell. So... do I?
Also, @Mitch: I think that if a found a metal band named Balmung, I would totally give them a shot. Want to start a band?
guess i made a wrong impression hehe
no disrepect meant on my behalf.
just stating a few facts, statistics can be fun :)
and surprised how few ive met here, is all
I have only met one person on fabul ever. he was a RP'er.
This thread's existence says that you think otherwise, more or less judging an entire server of players. Also, your time played/starting date has no correlation to your own personal ignorance, but if you want to play that game...

I see two possibilities:
1) The OP had a bad experience with some RPers at some point in the past (considering his attitude, I don't see why......), and has become prejudiced against them. I especially like him stating facts about what goes on on the Besaid server when he is a member of Fabul.
2) He is trolling, creating these threads for no other purpose than to incite arguments.
Either way, everyone should ignore him. I know I won't be opening any threads started by him from now on.
P.S. what server are you transferring to OP? I only ask because I feel the need to warn them about what's coming.
Saying that it has to be figured out inherently means that it is unclear. If it is unclear then what is it if not a riddle or trick?
You merely deflected a question by presenting a paradox. Not that I think you should put an answer to a question of your political preference, as it has nothing to do with anything really. As the question did not warrant a response (unless you were going to proudly proclaim your political stance, which would have been fine too), I didn't see any purpose in provoking people by belittling their intelligence.
As for figuring it out, a paradox defies reason by nature and cannot be 'figured out'. An ideology is a frame of mind or school of thought. You say you believe in the opposite of an ideology. Belief in something represents an ideology. Thus, you do not have an ideology but only because of your 'un-ideological-ideology', which means that you do have an ideology, but you can't because you have no ideology, but you do, but you can't, but you do, but you can't.....and so on. This constant self contradiction and circular reasoning is what defines a paradox. As it is a paradox, there is no answer to be 'figured out'.
You'll probably feel really dumb when you figure out what you wrote. It's there, its absolutely a paradox, and it's not relevant or respectful.
I am not usually so condescending, but it really chaps my hide when somebody makes a blanket statement about another person's intelligence, especially over the internet, which is one of the most impersonal places you can find.
As a side note that strangely goes back on topic: Is there anybody from fabul who will be leaving? I really would like to stay, but I am in a very small LS that my buddy and I started up (like 4 people so far), and we were thinking about moving to the server that has our old LS from XI on it. Truth be told though, I would like to just stay on fabul, or balmung I guess. I really like the community of fabul (I think it is the lower population that I like), and from what I have heard the besaid community is nice as well.
I guess I need to trudge into Uldah more if my Genn Genn doesn't see me enough <3 Crumpets and tea at bric a brac maybe?? Also I certainly do not know every player on Fabul, but I believe that is the point. I don't know any on Besaid and I think in reaction to people's general state of boredom we get bored threads to try and entertain ourselves. I only have the one RPer on Fabul to go off, Vohn. And he only seems to like to play one character, Whiskers McDougal a fiendish international spy/kitty tamer, as hard on terrorists as he is soft on the ladies. He seems harmless.....
"Magnus Triton obtains key item RAT TAIL" Final Fantasy I April 20th, 1989
you see I have been playing FF the longest thus I am the most ffffffffabulous!

we gonna need a star spangled subligar version of this.
As a non-roleplayer on Besaid, I would like to know what the heck are you talking about? I'm never had any of these problems on Besaid. I see roleplayers all the time on Besaid, but they keep to themselves and rarely ever cause issues. Honestly, the roleplayers tend to be the more friendly of players on Besaid, since they are playing for the social aspect of the game anyways. Also, roleplayers mean more crafters; they like to sit in the ciry and craft all day. Besaid market wards are generally well stocked with very competitive pricing. I really don't even see a point of making a thread like this about how roleplayers can be bad.
