Will we ever get Homan set from ffxi for tanks and Blue mage for glamor
Question for the producer: when in game can I expect to see a chat bubble over my head while typing? It can be annoying to be asked if you are there while typing.
Is it possible of you to put single player instances in the duty finder so you can replay them if desired?
Think you will create a magic melee dps role? Red mage seems to fall in that category meaning another job would needed to balance it. maybe geomancer or something with rune casting abilities.
Why is there a Fat Cat loafing inside the second Skalla boss + its underlings? Who put the Fat Cat there? Is there something Fat Cat is neglecting to tell us about its origins? Are there any more hidden Fat Cats we should look out for?
(Here's a picture in case nobody believes me...)

(Sorry this has nothing to do with character designs, but I'm dying to know and I forgot to ask for the last Q&A session. For what it's worth, Stormblood has great gear set/costume designs!)
About The Viera
Are we just getting the Veena Viera and Rava Viera or can we also get Feol Viera? I like being short and pale so having a third Viera option would be cool.
Can we PLEASE have all items that are SPECIFICALLY for Glamour, able to be put into the Armoire? A level 1 item with no stats should be able to be stored in the Armoire instead of taking up space in the Glamour Dresser or our other inventories.
Which real life cultures/historical periods do you draw the most inspiration from for your designs? Or if no particular culture, what kind of aesthetic do you try to aim for when designing specific character wardrobes?
Do you often have to modify designs based on technical limitations? If so, what is one thing you really wanted to put on a gear piece but couldn't?
What is your favorite thematic armor?
There are many classic homage or references to previous FF major characters or NPCs throughout FFXIV (crystal tower....ivalice etc).
How do you go about designing these characters using FF14 assets but at the same time, still capturing the essence of being recognizable. Do you have to consult with character designers of previous FF?
How to you get inspirations of major NPCs?
So I really feel that we need more gear for casters and healers that are robes and coat like and more like DoW gear. To be honest not really many casters and healers wear robes. Especially with there glamour i feel it would be a nice change of gear and would look and feel really nice with these classes, and possibly encourage more people to try these classes out.
Are there any plans on changing the "Tales of an Adventurer" level boost from 60 to 70 in the next expansion?
Hi FFXIV Team!
About Yotsuyu's kimono outfit, it was really beautiful! Sorry if this was asked many times. Will we ever get Yotsuyu's outfit for purchase or earn it in game?
Will the namazu get a primal to summon? I would think their primal would be model in gold like the statue on the mikoshi as well as have the same mikoshi mount music. The ultimate attack Confetti-for-all would start playing sitar and be slower with the same music. 4 totem Adds would spawn needing to be killed to mitigate dmg from it. They have an attack called Ready-the-confetti. The confetti lingers on the ground and causes debuff. Wasshols would cause aoe. They would target players spewing confetti. The 3rd bell chime is when u have to be out range to avoid dmg when targeted. Festive cheer is a buff ability that stacks 8 times boosting attack power. Can be silenced. The melee attacks are called bash and tailspin. I call it the calamitous carnival and the boss namatsuno.
Could you add an option in the Glamour Dresser to sort or filter stuff by jobs or roles?
Right now, all roles and jobs appear in a mixed order which makes it a little difficult to create glamour plates based on a specific role or job.
I would like there to be an option to display only the items from a specific role.
Between NPC's like Ilberd, X'rhun, and the character creator, I've noticed that regardless of race, men from Ala Mhigo don't have eyebrows. I was wondering if there is a cultural reason why Ala Mhigan men shave their eyebrows, and if so, what is the significance of doing so?
Thank you for all your truly brilliant concepts designs Ayumi... the phenomenal work that you and the entire development team put into the concepts designs are what makes this game richly vibrant.
First question please... with the upcoming expansion, how did you go about developing the design intent for the Garlean Empire?
Are there concept plans to evolve the current designs for the Blue Mage Artifact gear that has been shown to us?
For instance, the way the Magus artifact gear for blue mage evolved to the Mavi attire set for Blue Mages in FFXI

Are there any future plans to implement concept gear similar to Prince Rasler's and Princess Ashe's attire during their wedding from FFXII?

Will there be plans in the future to include very long hair with your concept designs, for instance, similar to Zilart Prince Kam'lanaut's hair from Final Fantasy XI?

What are your favourite software, lighting requirements, and artistic tools that you use when making concept designs?
Does the character design concept team also have great input in the design of cities... for example the city of Limsa Lominsa artwork shown below... do you and your team also develop concepts and artistic direction for the teams that develop the cities for the FFXIV universe?

In regards to the concept influences of FFXII and the Ivalice universe, how great was it for the character concept team to work with Akihiko Yoshida and Yasumi Matsuno?
Ayumi, your interview and the design team's messages within the Stormblood artbook on pages 304 to 311 were a really great insight into design philosophy and source of inspirations. When Yoshi, Oda-san or Koji gives a conceptual idea or character theme for your team to work with, how does your team manage to create processes that are unique and separate from real life ethnic or cultural influences?
For example, how are you able to brilliantly make Hingashi and Yanxia unique to FFXIV even though there are obvious Far Eastern influences?
If I remember correctly, wasn't there a contest done for the new look of armor some months back so what happened to it?
I know that some people that like fishing and some do not.
I have two questions, both relating to fishing.
1. Will we ever get a Better Spearfishing Gig so we can have our ilvl of Fishing to be the same as Miner's and Botanist's?
2. Will we ever see a Tackle Box implemented specifically for all our Fishing Tackle into the game to free up bag space?
A)How do you go about deciding what gear goes with what class? Like do you just look at a concept art and just know?
B)Which gear set gave you guys the most trouble deciding on whom to give it to, or which deciples could use it?
are there any plans to take the 3 button combo system they have in pvp and put it in game for regular use, for chainable combo abilities like the halone combo and ect?
ps.
Yoshida
1) When will we be having Blitzball? we fans of ffx and blitzball haven't forgotten the good news back in heavensward..
2) Will there ever be more cross over event coming or planned for shadowbringer?
Yoshida...
Question: In Shadowbringer, will there be less ability to predict the content of every patch? In Heavensward and Stormblood, it was all the same concept with every patch with only a very few minor things on the side... example below:
x.0: Expansion Release/First tier of Savage raiding content (4 floors)
x.1: 24man Alliance Raid
x.2: Second tier of Savage raiding content (4 floors)
x.3: 24man Alliance Raid
x.4: Final tier of Savage raiding content (4 floors)
x.5: 24man Alliance Raid
With Stormblood, another good example is that every single floor of raid content (with only a couple exceptions) was very repetitive... most floors had an Anti Knockback... most floors required a Tank LB in the middle, or some sort of phase transition with a large amount of damage... It would just be great to see the creativity come back rather than have it set in stone. Think back to A11S; that was unique. We didn't see anything special like that in this past expansion. Think about Eureka; one patch of grinding is one thing, but for the same type of grinding across the board was REALLY BORING and pushed a lot of people away. At least the Anima in Heavensward, and the Relic in ARR gave you DIFFERENT steps to do every time. Not a single instance with a different name, with just some small tweaks to it...
Would it ever be possible for us to have an ingame creation system where we can pick from pre-made pieces to put together our own tops and bottoms? Like the neckline, sleeve length, color, secondary color, etc. I would LOVE to see how that would affect the glam in this game.
Is there a point in the future where gear/clothing is not specific to a job, class or sex? If not, why?
Almost all the Return to Ivalice characters exhibit designs reminiscent of Final Fantasy XII, despite the majority being from or referencing Tactics. How did you convert the rounded, 'loose' designs like Ramza's Heretic and Delita Heiral's Holy Knight appearances to fit the more intricate and lower-contrast styles of XII and XIV?
It would be nice to see just what goes into adapting these designs, down to things as small as changing Alma Beoulve's hood from brown to red, the design on her skirt's flounce, and adding those small things like frills to her sleeves.

What was the reason(s) for Thancred's visual changes and personality change in Heavensward/3.x? If it was along the lines of "his time in Lifestream changed him," by comparison, only Y'shtola's eyes and hair changed when she left the Lifestream. But Thancred gained muscle mass and more noticeably, his skin tone changed. The reason for his skin tone changing is what I'm most curious about.
Have you considered making armor and weapon sets based on the Twelve? For example, a Black Mage staff for Nald'Thal, a White Mage Cane for Nophica, a Warrior axe for Rhalgr, and so on?
Are there any plans to show settlements of majority Duskwight, Hellsguard, and/or Keeper of the Moon characters? Whether you have done designs or not, would you create a contrast in cultural aesthetics similar to what exists between Raen and Xaela Au Ra?
Final Fantasy XIV draws influence from the visual trends of many different cultures. Are there any you haven't gotten to try yet but would be very interested in incorporating into the game?
Is there any possibility of more varied and accessible armor-based tail and ear options for players who might want to make characters who look like wolves, dogs, foxes, or other canines?
Hypothetically, if you were to do an interpretation of dwarves for Final Fantasy XIV what approach might you take?
Thank you for all your hard work!
What I really think the game's missing in design of gears is the severe lack of medieval-looking tank gear. There is a single (really only single) good-looking gear that fits the description and it's a low graded PvP gear no less. Can there be more of those kind of gears (if not only for tanks that would be best) in game? Different shades, colouring, etc. would be nice too.
Thanks for your time reading this :)
Greetings!
