Yeah, i was just looking at that. Think its the first time I've seen all the translations on one image. Very interesting, roads, trains, warp gates, Mor Dhona is set for big change.

It's been confirmed since October 14. And again a few days ago.

I like trains but, eh, maybe its just me, but I feel like there needs to be a good amount of economic activity to justify it. Trains are for when a large amount of people all want to go from one place to one place. So Uldah would be the only place I could justify a hotspot right now. Limsa is an island so they can't connect. Pretty sure Gridania wouldnt want that kind of shit in their forest.

What I mean is there needs to be some more bigass hubs to connect to, with little destinations along the way. A train ride to some dinky camp won't make sense, so I hope they have a lot more destinations to show us.

It's the same coal mine station in the concept art just released. That's seemingly not a train track, instead, simply a small cart track that descends into the mine. And written in red text is that you cannot enter via the track, it's for transporting of small items only.

Implementing a Train network would be pretty cool. It has been done, even on games capable of being single player, like Red Dead Redemption, quite expertly, even with regular schedules like FFXI airships & ferries.

Speaking of RDR, it would be even cooler if SE could develop missions on the trains (FFVI doom train comes to mind).

Also: Train Heist

This is a great example of what potential train missions could have, passenger or cargo varieties are possible.

On a cereal note:

Airships for nation to nation travel, ferries for travel to ports (obviously), and trains should be for between camps and/or hamlets.

doom train should work like this. there are regularly schedule trains that run. but every once in a while you'll get on one that looks normal, and it is in fact DOOM TRAIN. it proceeds to take you on the ride of your life.. or death lol
