Please Don’t Do An XV Event [Dev Request]

I don’t think id appreciate a ffxv crossover event.

If the money from ffxiv was being bounced around to other projects instead of going back into the game, it is not rocket science to believe ffxv and it overabundance of dlc was one of them.

Lets just be realistic here.

1. There will be no crossover event this year for FFXIV. Anyone remember the PSO2xFFXIV-Event?

2. If there will be an FFXV-event, then we got something like "Farming Eureka Pyros for FFXV minions".

3. Finally having some kind of FFXV crossover-event is nice to have. But I m still missing a PSO2-event and a Nier Automata-event. But instead, we definitely will get events, no one is asking for. 2019 - get ready for FFXIV x Cup Noodle Event!

I agree with the no crossover. But for different reasons. Just don't wanna ever see this thing again. To me it's worst ever FF and not really a thank you from SE after all the wait for vsXIII.

But it's just my opinion.

If we do get it there'll be most likely people to enjoy it and I'll just ignore it's existence.

I highly disagree with asking devs to wasting their time creating content just because fans of A DIFFERENT GAME feel disrespected.

Not having played the game... it's more of the "not-fantasy aesthetic" side of Final Fantasy, and I'm not so excited by that sort of glamour.

Plus if we are indeed headed for Garlemald in 5.0, we're likely to be getting a lot more of that style anyway.

Though I guess our high-fantasy outfits are going to be out-of-place there, so it will potentially give more options to dress appropriately for the setting.

(Edit: or there might be some nice pieces from it. I like Lightning's boots.)

Maybe this will add the Noctis Dissidia triad card into the game finally

It's about time we got an event after it was mentioned all of once and then never again.

I hate the news of the DLCs being cancelled like this and Tabata leaving - it's a giant mess, for certain. Also considering one of the canned DLC was of a backbone character to the entire game... yeah. Sour taste.

But we were never going to get the event so long as they kept slowly churning out DLC for it. If this had to happen for the event to finally make its way around, then eh. So be it.

Sucks, but I'd rather us at least have something from the mess than nothing at all.

I damn hate FFXV like for real but hey, who care about a short sneak a peak event in FFXIV, more glamour option for the cost of a mere hours on an easy fate.

Plus, I'll probably enjoy myself at bullying Noctis for hours without a single shard of shame.

And while I know OP is going to say that it's not enough, they have at least said that they're going to try to make the story that would have been in the DLCs available. Granted, we all know that means a side comic or $50 DVD or novel, but if you're concerned with the story and not just "they promised me DLC" it will give you that closure.

I watched the trailer and that whole character just seems really cringe worthy, the voice/dialog seems wrong and the character model seems a mess why is the character setting up a primal in a very casual outfit shouldn't they have some gear with some gravitas?

Are you implying I'm not allowed to face Garuda with my swimsuit ? What kind of world is this ? Last time I checked Garuda didn't care what you wear she shred everybody apart without a concern, she's tolerant unlike you mister "Wear your armor women or you'll go to Ifrits realm"

I don't even like FFXV, but I'm very excited about new possible glamour items!

I'm excited for this crossover. Hopefully we get some cool outfits outta it.

It's... an optional event. It costs you nothing but time to do, and nothing but the opportunity itself to ignore it. Is that really so bad?

Anyway, even though I haven't actually touched FFXV since about a month after it released (though I technically do need to catch up on the few episodes of DLC I have), I'd be up to check it out. Hopefully the rewards are nice. Some orchestrion rolls would be cool, because I will say the music in FFXV is very good.

I want something from XV in this game. For one, it would make me feel like XV is actually worth existing, to salvage what remaining positive feelings I can afford to give it. For another, things like the music, costume design, weapon design, and enemy design were all top notch. The game failed in a few ways, all of which were very crucial, but these other things were fantastic, and dungeons and enemies were among the best in the entire franchise.

As someone who rates FFXV among my top 5 favorite FF games of all time (Right up there with FFIV, FFVI, FFVII, and FFXIV), I really enjoy the fact that this crossover is happening. Please don't try to take it away from those who are looking forward to this event. Especially considering it's coming for free. That said, I'm honestly surprised that they're going with a generic adventurer female Miqo'te to rep FFXIV on FFXV's side. I figured they would have went with Y'shtola. Thanks to Dissida NT, I basically view Y'shtola as the face of FFXIV now... at least among NPCs.

I also love how in the trailer itself for FFXV's side, there's a segment of which Noctis is basically leaning away from the female Miqo'te like "Give me some space woman!". Made me chuckle. XD

They gave Lightning generic female Miqote clothes, so it was fairly predictable.

You mean like the Mass Effect 3 ending controversy or how its subsequent sequel, Andromeda, bombed? Having spoiled ending on youtube because curiosity be damned, I elected not to play ME3 for several months. And while I criticised it mercilessly, I didn't cry on the forums BioWare shouldn't make xyz. In fact, I went back and played the first two games. You do not speak for "people" nor are you the FFXV arbiter. While you may be emotional enough even the mere mention of a collab event makes you upset, other people either don't care or aren't as bothered. So... deal with it, I guess, because we're going to get a FFXV collab event by the looks of it.

They need to do it. I want Noctis hair and clothes.

When i decide to buy i game i don't really care about special edition, collectors edition ect. I just want the game and most of the games i own are used. As i said before, if they wanna spend that much on a special edition of a game then that's their call. Imo i just think it's insane to spend that much just on a game when most of that kind of money could be used towards food, bills, ect.

Shame about the cancellation of the DLC and having a vital member of SE company leaving. I hope whatever he does in the future is a fruitful one.

Can we have Ignis' eye scars as aesthetic addition, please? I wanna cosplay as him since he was one of my favorite characters in the game. Plus his scars are really cool and would be a nice aesthetic addition in the game.

That, and Cindy's curly hair? We don't have any curly hairstyles in game and we desperately need one.

I would also like the Regalia, too. It would be a nice mount addition to FFXIV, especially if it was a four seater mount like someone else said here and could fly, as said by another.
