I wouldn't be surprised if it ended up being the 23rd. If not, then pretty sure on March 1st.

Either way, now that the server merge stuff is handled, and they've covered basically everything else regarding 1.21 via Topics, all that's left is the juicy stuff - and all they need for those is 2-3 days.

Patch 1.21 is going to be canceled I'm afraid...

Yeah he did say 2 weeks but also..not for sure. Pushing really hard..heh well..that means maybe... if they can. I am always pessimistic now when it comes to SE and release dates (Don't get me started on 13 Versus lol also inb4 different game, etc). I will guess very early March..last couple days of Feb if lucky. So yeah..not "making stuff up"...if it does come out at end of Feb then yay! Either way I am bored and waiting regardless :S

Being pessimistic is fine. Keeping your expectations low and anything else you need to do to manage yourself is 100% your business.

When you try to complain about a delay that hasn't happened, and has not been officially announced however, you will get corrected.

That very statement there is an official announcement of a 2 week expected delay.
Your complaint was supported by your claim of a 1 month delay, following you saying a week here or there is no big deal.

My point is there is no 1 month delay to speak of, and that it is your personal expectation. That is all.

My best guess would be Thursday 23rd as well eh. I hope Yoshi planned to keep it on "delayed for 2 weeks after second week" meaning next week is second week since delayed.

1.21 is probably the biggest patch released so far so it's understandable that it got delayed by a bit. The patches that are coming after this are not quite as big, so development time will be shorter, and the risk of delays will be reduced. There is a separate team working on 2.0 so how 1.0 fairs in the delays department, shouldn't impact their work. I would also like everyone to take notice that there is about a three month stretch between the "final" 1.0 patch, and the launch of 2.0.

I believe that Yoshi-P had left that open window there for a reason so they could have leeway just in case they needed to delay certain patches.

Not even Blizzard show content/patch notes before they are ready.

I don't know many other game developers (mmo or not) that take the time to talk to their players like Yoshida does.

I'm itching to see patch notes, videos and the rest of it, but if they aren't ready they aren't ready.

I think we should get a 4 world merge to make the greatest server...Mysidia + Lindblum + Istory + Saronia = GREAT SUCCESS.

What they COULD do is adjust how they inform of us updates.

Patch 1.21 is completed March 1.
They tell us it exists in March 15th.
They release it on March 31st.

Patch 1.22 is completed April 1.
They tell us it exists on April 15th
They release it on April 30th.

Patch 1.23 is completed June 15th (it was meant to be done on June 1st but was late)
They tell us it exists on June 30th.
They release it on July 15th.

So basically they could tweak everything to tell us after the fact of certainity and no one would complain on it being late. It would be late, but no one would know and therefore no complaints.

Ooooorrrr... we could just stop complaining.

we've basically have paid for the same content for 2 months straight, not a good move to do with subscriptions involved. 1.21 was scheduled for 2nd week of February, now it's delayed 2 weeks. It's now hitting that 2 week period and your telling us we have to pay another month to enjoy a delayed patch.... oh you ^^

heh, the longevity of the Moogle content isn't that long, we have people bored out of their mind expecting a patch before our subs are renewed. I know it sounds a bit harsh on SE, and I understand the amount of work involved. 1.21 has me on the edge of my seat right now, I can't wait to play the new content!

But it all comes down to the performance part on the development end, specifically with keeping to time-lines that were made to properly justify us getting charged again. This basically was the same content we were playing before subscriptions started, people who played this whole time could have taken a two month break and missed almost nothing.

The incentive to play the last two months have been pretty weak.

Other games don't matter to me, so I don't really care how often they update. I just simply believe this week is opportune timing for a patch release.

hate to say it but alot of people dont see games like you and me

they only count the latest fight as content and nothing else matters, being a completionist isnt in their mindset in the least so nothing else counts as content or even something to think about
