In this thread, people who play a role playing game hating on role players.

But then again, I forgot, Final Fantasy fans tend to be anime fans; a large majority of whom are very whiny self-deluded people who hate on other fans to make themselves feel cool and aloof, then they proceed to watch naruto late at night~

I love rpers <3 they make this game so much more fun and interesting ^^ I just wish people would be a little more chill and show their fellow adventurers some respect once in awhile, but then I guess that would be asking for too much huh? T^T

Well said Kye, I wholeheartedly agree with you, everyone should treat each other with honor and respect. There is enough hate in the world. ^^ Let's play the game, make some new friends, and most of all have fun.

I cannot believe so many people are disliking and disrespecting RPers. They don't even effect people that do not RP. It's a ridiculous prejudice. Not only is there hypocrisy because this is an mmoRPG, but also that.... my god! Let's just say it, we're all nerds here. Can people really not respect another human being enough to just leave it alone? You don't have to agree and no one is making you participate, but you don't need to derail people's threads or discourage them from doing what they enjoy. People don't discourage you for playing this game because you're a jerk, so the least you can do is leave them alone. It doesn't effect you.

Good luck with your merge Besaid! I was always curious as to how y'all RPed in the game? :D

I hope people who have wanted to join the RP server can now make it there without issue, and that the 'two joining nations' that make up your new server goes smooth and happy for everyone!

It seems like Mysidia+Istory is getting along well, so I am pleased on my side! :)

I agree a roleplay server feels needed right now because there isn't many players. However, I also believe it won't be necessary coming with 2.0 and new players. Every RP linkshell have its own style and every server should be able to welcome RPers.

Roleplaying is verrry easy and not very serious at all. It isn't hard and I see people join as new players or from other servers and are invited with arms wide open usually all the time. It is casual, laid back and very few people play in character all the time. You simply make a background for your character. Perhaps your a widow, a mute(yes its been done!) young, old, scholarly, or a seamstress. Roleplayers roleplay as simple people, not queens/kings, going through everyday events similar to you do in your quest scenarios. When In character you act like your character would act according to you. showing up to a event in say.. a subligar and harness with a giant bow strapped to your back stating you are a queen from Vanadiel traveling far to seek new lands who is 5000 years old and capable of destroying people with one glance, and chances are you wont be welcomed to the RPC. Showing up in a robe, stating to be a practicing conj who is shy and doesn't talk very much, is perfectly fine.

Roleplay is not erotic roleplay. Though some do add this to their roleplay there is many more who don't. you don't need to worry about that at all.

All in all its not -that- much different then those who don't roleplay but rather then standing around in uldah in a cluster, we seek each other out, get drunk at the bar, become pirates, mercenary's for hire, entertainers, or fight something together. Consider it no more then a little extra spice to the dish of XIV, because really, that's all that it is.

There are casual roleplayers like myself, and ones who like to stay in character. there are even some that write detailed journals about themselves that you can read. for more information please feel free to look here:

We are a friendly bunch, but there is always a few bad apples everywhere. Do not judge us because someone wanting to troll roleplay pretends to roleplay very badly in front of your friends. We can't help that more then you can help the letist shell that likes to come stick thier @$$es in your face while you craft in Uldah.

Also, I support Tess making this third thread. There really is too much hate and not that I want to "Feed the trolls" I do want SE to acknowledge this. The three treads dedicated to roleplay and to bashing roleplay(really se I can't believe you leave a thread dedicated to harassment up while closing so many others) have been the top forums in the English topics for days and SE really needs to give us something here, in my personal opinion. Or at the least, close down Serdapi's forum as it is harassment, rude and the very things against the ToS itself. I dunno.. I guess SE is just glad to see everyone bashing someone besides them for a change? Hmm..

Imma rp a reasonable person that's tired of animosity on these rp related threads.

RPers, I hope you all find each other on a server and you can finally be happy and free from redicule, but you need to quit being so reactive and rise above the taunts.

Non-rpers, if it makes them happy just let them do it! What is up your butts that you won't let these people act out their fantasies? The /say annoy you? That's why you have filters and a blacklist.

That and no one is being coerced into joining RP; disliking something is understandable, but blind hatred is just ridiculous.
