All Saint's Wake items

Minions and music are my favourite seasonal rewards so this year's rewards are pretty decent for me. :)
Glamours tend to go straight into the armoire never to be seen again. Mounts have been hit or miss, but I generally use mount roulette so I don't see specific ones often anyways.

That being said, I agree that Halloween costumes make this event one where glamour items make the most sense as rewards.

I the like paw prints! They look like what you'd see at a real life Halloween party along with all the black cat, witch, and Dracula wall decorations. The only thing missing is an ultraviolet light. :)

As for the people complaining about no glamour outfit or mount, why do you feel that you are automatically owed these? I'm not trolling you all. Just look at my signature!

As for me, I'd rather that Square Enix keep such things rare. It keeps the rewards special and meaningful. Otherwise, people will get blaise about such things.

It literally feels like SE stopped trying with these seasonal events. 5 minute quest for a couple minor items and fireworks. Always fireworks.

Aw, that decoration style doesn't gel with the aesthetic of my room.

Because Halloween is literally about dressing up in costumes! If SE won't include one this year, they should at least let people earn the old ones in game instead of selling them on mogstation.

Right because there's a lot of new players who haven't had a chance to do it.

I'm one of those new players and this will be my first halloween event. Sad how I won't be able to get any of the costumes. Seen people with those animal ears and thought it was locked behind some type of fight. Didn't realize its a seasonal event item meaning its almost impossible to get unless from mogstation.

The minion descriptions gave me a good chuckle, but I'm really disappointed in the lack of glamour this year. All Saint's Wake has always been my favorite seasonal event, and after last year's awesome costume I was excited to see what they'd have in store this time around.

There is a pair of fox ears you can get locked behind a fate in Yanxia (~65, redeem @ 70), but yeah, they're not as nice as the werewolf ears.

I am actually disappointed by this years event spoils. Talk about lazy AF. No gear, no mount, no orchestrion scroll. I'm finding little reason to even participate in this year's All Saint's Wake other than running the dungeon, which is really fun within itself.

SE, if you're going to be half-assed with your event spoils, then don't bother with seasonal events. That is my true opinion as someone who white knights the living crap out of you. Apropos; my vocabulary isn't vast enough, even in my primer language to express a divine disinterest in this lackluster annual event from whom our playerbase so earnestly approaches with an unfathomable uniform of zeal.

I'm telling you this right now SE, even your most loyal of fans are getting fed up with your laziness and reskinned content, and it's because we can tell your heart is not where it once was. Fix this NOW!

As a fairly new player, I've now had one year's worth of seasonal events (having joined just in time to miss last year's Moonfire Faire) and most prizes have been pretty underwhelming to me - although to be fair, I like glamour but have little interest in mounts and minions.

So for me, it's a bit frustrating to see that all these events used to give out nice new costumes, but I get a flying Christmas bear I'll never use. Then a half-heart-chair-for-couples I'll never use. Then an egg minion I'll never use.

There was the werewolf costume, at least, though I'm yet to find a use for it myself. And that was at the start of the year, before the multiple events with nothing but mounts and minions. (And recently the new Moonfire Faire gear. But a long gap between them, unless I've forgotten something.)

Meanwhile there are lots of older costumes I would have loved to trade those things for. If there was some way you could do a once-off trade to exchange this year's prize for your choice of previous years' prizes? Perhaps if completing the seasonal quest gave you a unique token and this year's reward item, and then there was a shop that would let you trade the token and reward for any one of the rewards from previous years. Once you've done that trade, you've spent your token and there's no way of getting another one.

Or simplify it further: don't give the reward directly for completing the quest, just give the tokens to be spent at the shop which has both this year's new prizes and all the previous ones. (But then again for lore reasons, you're usually given the reward as something you actually obtained in the quest, so that might not work.)

Either way, the number of rewards given to any one player is still dependent on how long they've been playing, it just takes out the element of disappointment if you would have loved some of the previous years' prizes, but this year's is 'worthless' for you.

I'd rather have more fun events than I care about rewards. What about stuf like being able to form a party and run around npc settlements, being able to knock on doors and ask or candy. Maybe you get some which you can later trade in for stuff, maybe it spawns a boss that drops neat things. Have some event of undead invading the lands which players can fight off, and if enough enemies died it spawns some Samhain world boss or something.
Granted I only started playing December 2017, but every event I saw so far was "Do a quest that takes 2 minutes and take your reward. Done." Give us events that make players come together and have a good time.

Or at least give people a way to earn them even if temporary, like through achievement certificates or some kind of currency, hunts, heck I don't know... as a player who's gotten most of these old outfits, I would definitely like to see people that didn't get the chance, for once not having to pay up just to get something nice to wear for Halloween.

All hoping for is gives a title one thing they're not selling so far is the titles & last couple of events have brought back awarding a title.

I guess I have a different way of looking at this. I always looked at the “events” as something extra. Some of them I like the rewards others I don’t. I don’t really expect much. One thing I think is that have tried to make it diverse. You can’t please everyone every single time. So this time we get no outfit. Maybe next one we will. I personally prefer mounts and minions. So I’m half/happy as minions look ok and no mount. And at the end it’s a question of personal taste, personal preference. Someone said they preferred the wolf ears comparing to the fox ears. I’m the other way around, my character sometimes uses the fox years, never touched the wolf ones.. so ...

I think the reason why people complain about missing costumes is not as much personal taste, but that wearing costumes is a core aspect of Halloween.

by the way....

aren't these ghosts part of the decoration in the citys since forever? So they just copypasted the model to use it as a minion?

I think what upsets me most about no costume this year is because of players new to the game whom will be participating in their first All Saints event. They are going to see all kinds of players running around in their previous years costumes, and also desire to have a set for themselves. So off to the cash shop they go if they do. Marketing ploy by SE? The thought just leaves an overly bitter taste in my mouth.

If they are not going to put time into the rewards, then I would like to see more effort put into the event itself.

Oh trust me hun, I won't be there. I skipped last year's Easter, this year's Valentione's, Easter, Little Ladies', and Rising. I got the Christmas event a few hours before takedown just because... I'm not missing anything with this one. Sooo *skip!*

I really like the minions but I wish we would get outdoor housing items for once (if we need housing items at all). Also a glamour outfit would have been nice. Maybe one halloween costume that you can craft? Because if that is your first event you wont have a single costume and would need to buy it from the mog station.

Otherwise I am looking forward to the haunted house. :)

You can't sell the furnishings anymore. That stopped... 2 or so years ago? Can't have us cutting into their mog station profits.

I just sold about 6M worth of used items, so it's definitely possible ;)

You just have to add a person as a tenant, or have them add you to their FC in order to deposit the items in their FC chest/floor.

It's a bit of a pain, and of course some trust involved, but at least we have some option to resell items.

On the All Hallows page there is this note:
* Certain items available during previous iterations of the event can be obtained via the All Saints' Wake vendor.

For those that have missed previous costumes, maybe they'll be there - who knows :)

That's on every event, and it always means the prisms and occasional personal foodstuffs (like the Zoni @ New Years & the chocolate spriggans @ Hatchingtide). I don't have a direct line to the devs, but I'm willing to bet hard money that nothing that's been put on the mog station will ever be re-added to the game for purchase.

I just don't want anyone to get their hopes up for something that isn't going to happen, because that's when we get the "but they said!" posts, which are always so tiring.

Pretty much that. Usually you only get the food or fireworks from the previous event. It would be nice if they would let you earn the previous seasons costumes and items just for the season and then they could stick it back on the Mog Station if they want..

Don't even think waste my time doing it since there is no mount or glamour. Sure don't need 2 more minions when already ready to many of them. Bet outfits from other past events you have to buy from mogstation.

Honestly, by now people should understand that they don't go all out for every event. In fact, a lot of the time they put very little effort into them. Every now and then though they surprise us with something truly interesting and fun. People need to keep their expectations at a reasonable level. Perhaps they have something slightly bigger planned for the next.

I honestly don’t need a costume for every event ever. It’s awesome when we do get them but sometimes it’s good to get other nice things too. I don’t really think this is anything to complain about. I really liked the reference on the minions though.

Whoever's in charge of what they put in these descriptions deserves a raise.

I’m not surprised people are whining about the lack of a costume, but I always confused as to why. I hardly ever see anyone glamour them anyway (aside from the werewolf ears and even that was a decidedly short-lived trend). Usually the items are tossed unceremoniously into your armoire the moment you receive it, never to see the light of day again, so it makes literally no difference whether we get another one or not.

This feels like one of those things that people are only complaining about missing simply because they’re accustomed to getting one, regardless of whether or not they ever actually used any of the other ones we’ve received in the past.
