So they really are made in 5 minutes and just stitched on.

Oh god, my poor wallet
sees picture of dress
crisis averted
From what someone said earlier this was an outfit offered to Chinese players first, which if the other Chinese outfits are anything to go by explains the drop in quality. I don't know if they're of lesser priority or if they're handed off to an intern but with few exceptions, those exclusive outfits tend to have the most mesh and texture issues of anything currently offered in the game.

I also think they forgot to take into account that not all female avatars have bangs.
I agree about the tiara - it’s very “one placement fits all” and I’m guessing it’s based on the furthest-out hairstyle. It’s a problem for a lot of the crafted flower hairpins too though, it seems that they’re placed so they sit right on “fluffier” hairstyles so they stick out a bit awkwardly on tied-back ones.
In both cases I’d like the ‘visor’ command to shift the placement of the decoration so it can be adjusted to look better.
The prince outfit is terrible. The princess' looks better, but still not great.
Can't we get something cool, like a gakuran (there's a sailor outfit, so why not?)
Things I could buy for $18...
Speaking of which, I got Dishonored 2 for 20 euros on sale, and I could potentially buy Fallout 4 too for about the same price.
And in terms of mmorpg, costumes usually cost about 10 euros - 15 at worst - and they're usually much better quality.
It's pretty bad of how the quality for most costumes - if not all - on the mogshop is pretty below par, and the asking price is insanely high too.
I like glamour but I'm not that desperate for costumes and besides the other Chinese dress - which is pretty good at least - I just can't see myself buying any other, not with these prices.
They will continue to make trash items and sell them for high if people are paying for them. And they do not even need a lot of people to pay for them, some will just buy anything and everything you put in front of them regardless. Which is why we get things like flaming wheels and these awful Disney dresses.
I think the only purchases I ever made on mogstation were the Thancred attire (when it was on sale) for my male alt, for the hair mostly and the carby mount. I don't ever use the carby mount since as an elezen I look horrible on a mount made for lala that doesn't scale. If I would have researched the carby mount first I would never have gotten that do to this issue.
But as long as they don't put p2w items on there I really could not care less if someone wants to waste their money on this god awful glam.
I like the lala one.
The others look pregnant - which I guess if someone wants to RP a pregnant princess, it's good for them. I just don't know how many people that would be.
There was an interview (I believe the MrHappy one) where Yoshida said a lot of items come from the chinese version, which a team made specifically for them because they have a different business model. Might explain the lower texture quality if they're just pumping these out (not that that's an excuse. They should make them look better). I can't really fault them for wanting to make these things available to other markets, they're already built anyway.
So greedy. They just pumping out Mogshop items now without even a care for their quality.
I'd like to express an opinion on the complaints about the hand-clipping and the 'awful design' and 'low quality' though.
One thing I truly appreciate is that they do NOT photoshop the actuality of the image.
That said- clipping will always happen. There is no such thing as perfection. I am just a little disconcerted about the non-stop complaints.
Hand clipping is just a fair warning by the image :D
I think they look very nice but agree with it being high priced (unusually high priced if you ask me)
oh nvm it's only expensive in USD- but not for me 8)
I am trying to make a point here it's never going to be 100% satisfying for -everyone- in the audience.
I am for that glad the themes of outfits differs each time- for each and everyone's own taste and fit.
As MicahZerrshia said; everything and anything is better than P2W objects.
Remember originally they were not going to release this Chinese version junk but the forums were outraged that they didn't release them for NA.
Now the forums are outraged that there is Chinese store junk in the game.....
exactly the dilemma I always have when I see the prices. I like cool in-game items and I don't mind supporting the game, but like you said...Dishonored 2 or other full older games, thats no contest right there lol.
I remember in DC Universe Online I once paid $20 for a set of three metallic skin "glamours". Still regret that one...
They need to redo it and make it fit like how thavnairian wool dress does. If they did that it be a very cute dress.
Oh, but SE 'need to' and 'should do' and 'must do' so much more from you guys - and the result remains: unsatisfied.
Remember that cosmetics optional items they imply to keep us satisfied after endless requests with diversity - is not something they even *need* to be focusing on, in the game.
These will always be -optional items- due to differences in tastes - which means half players will like it, others will hate it. That's the end of it.
In short; whatever they do or 'must do' will never satisfy the entire genre of the game as people will always need or want more and more. I could go on and on.
They need to do nothing but focus what their priorities are and cosmetics surely aren't on their high-list yet do keep them released. Always remember that.
I'm just sayin', whether you like the glam or not, best be thankful that SE is even releasing this stuff from the Chinese/Korean side due to high demand. They could've been petty and be like, "since you guys love to complain A LOT, you guys ain't gettin' ****, how bout dat!"
I'm planning on getting it myself. It looks nice, the princess attire that is. Very puffy for sure, and I don't know the first thing about fashion, but it looks good to me.
Something I dont feel I need for my glamour addiction. Thank you S.E.
Yuck.
There is something about the bottom half of the princess dress that makes it look cheap, even by the Chinese item standards :0
All I see are more lalafell storm shelters. You could fit a whole gaggle of them under the roe’s dress.
No, clipping is not a problem here...

I can be a Pregnant Princess Peach...
This is so damn bad LMAO.
I think we can chalk this one up as a win for male characters. I'm okay with it. The skirt is decent.
it definitely looks gaudy and costume-y but honestly that makes it kind of charming to me...i mostly just need those gloves though. was sad that only whm got to have some really nice long gloves.
I actually really like it and bought it for my alt, but... why are there weird ribbon things on each side? And a better question... why do they turn BLACK when you dye it pretty much any colour? (or dark purple or something like that, but clearly not similar colour to the dress!) To me that ruins it and I wish the ribbons were just gone completely.
